  1. This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't consider Von Schtook as representative of the power level of the rest of the faction :}
  2. Nekima please :} That said, I do think that Von Schtook is better overall, so I wouldn't want to be partially responsible for a potential loss!
  3. 1 isn't an option either with, pardon me if I'm wrong, @Kharnage kicking buckets of tail with Nekima. I still wouldn't remotely put her in the category of masters that need toning down though. She's already suffered enough :}

  5. I approve of this crusade. After restoring Nekima to her rightful throne and bringing Von Schtook back among the mortals, I would support further endeavors aimed at bringing Dashel down too (Or just anyone in general with obscene card draw) :}
  6. We have to be careful what we ask for. The more a miniature extends along all three axes, the more pieces have to be separated into smaller bits. This is even more pronounced if the sculpt "branches" off, like maybe something being on someone's extended arm. As much as I've been traumatized by Goryos and Night Terrors, I don't want to end up having everything standing like big Jake or The Forgotten Marshall, arms splayed to their sides and legs wide.

  8. I wasn't going to get the new Von Schill Box just for the new sculpt and the third Freikorpsmann. After mentioning Pandora, maybe a third Ruthless Freikorpsmann isn't a bad idea after all :} (Or just bring Hans I guess)
  9. Most of the keyword can get the 2x critical strike :} If you want to really capitalize on Rocket Launchers with rams, I think Hannah and the Freikorpsmann win the day! Hannah can get the two suits guaranteed, while the Freikorpsmann can guarantee one suit on two consecutive rockets. Even better if either model got focus from the Engineer prior to shooting. Alternatively, the scout can use the launcher at stat 7, ignoring concealment and friendly fire. Have Von Schill use "Pull" and a scout take the free rocket shot for fun and blasts exactly where you want them. Even for the assault shield, you get more value if you equip it to the engineer's target or a librarian, as the stacking shielded makes it less likely to "break" off. In both cases, I typically find that the equipment upgrades tend to give you more value when put on whoever the engineer is targeting vs putting them on the engineer itself.
  10. I think there is too much of a "Guild is bad" meme going on. Dashel's crew has an engine that generates card draw, models, focus, condition removal, and fast. Not sure a keyword can get any better than that. In fact he reminds me a lot of 2e Nicodem. Lucius and Nelly are competitive too (Especially Nelly) and the existence of the Jury alone can prevent entire keywords from being picked. As for Neverborn being "Weak", Nekima, Titania, and Dreamer are overall faring pretty well. What we're generally seeing, I think, is a gravitation towards crews that can eliminate the randomness of duels/damage flips as much as possible by generating enormous card draw, focused, or otherwise altering deck/hand composition (Lucid Dreams, Misinformation, Reading the cards, etc.)
  11. Part of what makes Malifaux different than most other wargames is that you don't have a "list" that you bring at a tournament. You pick the best tool for the job. Having a keyword (Not specifically the master) excel in 25% of the available strategies (and be darn good in Recover Intel too, so closer to 50%) should knock it out of a hypothetical "Not good" category. Again, I'm including Belles/Sybelle in here, which are the models people typically exclude. I guess I was addressing the statement of the keywords being a "problem".
  12. I'm afraid that such a radical nerf of Hazardous would disproportionately weaken Gibbering Hordes.
  13. Redchapel as a keyword is great with corrupted Leylines. And yes, I'm talking about Belles/Sybelle too. If you manage to kidnap whoever's holding the lodestone early enough your opponent is going to score 0 or 1 from the strategy all game. Bring a Dead rider to hold the lodestone and drag your lure machines for extra fun. I would love Reva to have an easier way to move Pyres around, perhaps through a Lampad tweak. Now, if we're comparing keywords to Guard, Academic, Swampfiend and so on, they probably fall short, but that's true for all keywords that can't draw half a deck, hoard focused, and/or alpha strike turn 1.
  14. If you have to pick just one, dead outlaws will have many more applications. Drowned are currently a very niche pick. I'd actually prefer if the Guilty could no longer force discards and the crooked men /drowned were tweaked upwards a bit. Until then, Dead Outlaws. Can elaborate more after work if needed!

  17. Hope so too, we're just now getting people to order direct from our flgs, it would be pretty disappointing if it got discontinued. Announcements so far don't seem to suggest discontinuation but rather.... Slow additions?
  18. I actually don't mind the material. It's bullet proof and maintains a lot of detail. Just wish I could keep the Alpha Crawler a little more vertical. I'm sure I'll find a way to make that happen :} (Open to suggestions btw!)
  19. I'm one of the crazy people that uses a Lampad :} It usually drags my pyres far up the field turn 1. After that, between the pyres, the bearers with shielded and burning, and the lampad with burning, I barely even use corpse candles. I already have vectors and burning galore, so I can live with 1 less candle if I can instead have focus +2 across the crew and clutter the middle of the board with pyres.

I think I mentioned the interactions with HtK in the explanation :} Unless something changed from the way Corpse candles work that I have not followed: Activate corpse candle X 2 Shieldbearer 1 charges corpse candle while staying within 3 of rest of the crew (You can smack Reva first for a push if you wish), generate 2 Pyres and a corpse marker. Use Blasphemous ritual on said marker for Mass focus. Repeat with Shieldbearer 2. Enjoy 4 Pyres and focus +2. If your push targets took damage, Final Veil should have topped them off by now. Does demise no longer allow corpse markers or something?
  21. With GST Having : Armor +1 Shielded +1/+3 most turns Regeneration 2 The Final Veil Terrifying 11 Triggless heal on attacks Is pretty tanky for 8 stones if you ask me. I'm not sure if I know of another 8 stone packet that has that many layers of defense while offering so much utility. They make a 1 of Masks a friendly 6 inch push, which usually results in me never having to take a walk action with Reva. It's also not a damage flip. I took Barbaros with Parker last night and he ended up taking 4 health away from my master for a moderate flip when I really needed a push. Never have to worry about that with a Shieldbearer. These guys offer me consistent attack vectors for Reva, mass focus, and both friendly and enemy pushes while forcing my opponent to only target them if they know they can get through hard to kill in a single activation. Having so many sources of healing brings them back from hard to kill over and over again. Take the hit is just icing on top.

    I think Titania assassination runs are exactly where you'd want this guy. Push Titania/Knight/Aeslin turn 1. Turn 2+ Charge in and give auto Into to Thorns to everyone who's targeting the poor victim.
