  1. Also, importantly, the Sand worm can't take the Sandstorm action while buried in the first place. The sandworm would have had to have been obeyed to take the action, then gotten attacked and burried with it's df trigger, then unburried on it's own activation later.
  2. The extra attack and pass through are mutually exclusive.
  3. You combine the values of conditions together with replace, so the new model will have focused +2.
  4. Yes, misery happens immediately after stunned is applied which will still be within step 5.
  5. Triggers and abilities have the exact same timing with "after resolving".
  6. Shockwave rules are on page 31 of the rulebook, but to give a quick rundown: Meredith first needs to pass the simple duel to see if the action succeeds. If it does, she places a 30mm marker anywhere within range and LoS. Then, since it is a Shockwave 2, you measure out 2 inches from the marker. Every model that is within the circle made will need to take the MV 13 simple duel, and if they fail will suffer the effects, which is the 2 damage and Poison +1.
  7. It doesn't matter that the new Duet will have the "activated" tag, it still continues it's current activation. As far as the activation process is concerned, the only time it matters if a model has activated or not is when you are choosing a model to activate. You have 1 and 3 correct.
  8. Based on the FAQ saying "blank and undeclarable" that does imply they are two wholly different things, or it could just be detailing what blank means. Either way it's a moot point, because that's the only way to have a blank trigger.
  9. Summon tokens count as a summon Upgrade for all effects that mention a summon upgrade
  10. 29. *If an Action’s Trigger lists a model by name, Summons a model, or Attaches an Upgrade is the action itself considered to do those same things for effects such as Obey?* a) No. However, the Trigger which lists a model by name, Summons a model, or Attaches an Upgrade is treated as blank and cannot be declared if the action was generated by an effect such as Obey.
  11. As long as the summon is on a trigger then you can, the trigger is just considered blank and can't be delcared.
  12. Bonus actions generated by abilities or triggers don't count against the limit. Yes, if an EVS model gets healed by breachburnt on a duel, the heal happens before the damage flip so Jedza will be able to reduce their next damage.
  13. Neither the accuracy modifier nor focused care about specifically actions, so no they're not the same as incorporeal. Resistance triggers aren't part of the action. As shown in the rulebook, they are abilities.
  14. Master and Minions are probably the only ones where you have some expectation of complexity. If it's something you're taking multiples of you don't want it to be too mentally taxing to do their activations. And for masters people expect them to do things, so that means they'll either be doing one thing extremely well in a straight forward manner, or they'll have a lot of ways to impact the board state. Things tend to lean towards more complexity for masters because that leaves more room for each master to flex their legs and do their own thing. Also in general I'm not a fan of the "more words=more complex". Sometimes you just need more words to close loopholes or reduce ambiguity. Or it's just combining multiple different things into one ability. Like if the abilities on Cadmus' upgrade were split up into individual effects you'd have the most complex one be (enemy models with a parasite token count as friendly) also be one of the shortest abilities.
  15. Cover and being able to hide in the shadow are different. Being able to hide in a shadow explicitly says that the terrain can't be ignored, and only for Terrain that is at least the same Sz as the defending model. To gain cover it just says a sight lines needs to pass through that terrain, which is the same wording as gaining concealment from concealing terrain.
  16. I completely forgot that got put in the FAQ after lamplighters released.
  17. Lamp markers are concealing terrain with a Ht. This would also mean that models cannot gain cover from terrain that is smaller than themselves and/or the attacker
  18. The part you're missing is that Filthy Spear says "Models damaged by this action suffer +1 damage". Like the Wind and Infect do not deal damage themselves, so will never satisfy the "Models damaged" condition to get the +1 damage.
  19. Comparing a master and a minion is kind of strange. One is supposed to be simple and one is supposed to be more complex.
  20. Aura terrain is terrain. The thing people argue is whether you can be in base contact with it or not.
  21. If you put 3 in a triangle, all at 4" from each other, then you can have a leader in there and be within 3" of all of them. And of course you have the ability to make more and move them with the Lamplighter themselves.
  22. Don't forget Lamplighters can make more lamps, and early in the game that's not a significant cost.
  23. That callout box only refers to hazardous markers, and is only talking about hazardous markers of the same name. A model hitting a geode, a pit trap and a pyre marker will suffer 2 damage, burning 1, and injured 1.
