I bought two masters for my first masters as I was the only Malifaux player at my club at this point. I wanted to get two different factions - one would have to be arcanists and I chose neverborn as my other starting faction because I really like their fluff, models and theme. Toni Ironsides and the Mages really caught my eye - thought it sounded cool from a fluff perspective and I rarely played tanky types (I later realised that she wasn't a tank) Of the plastic boxes available Lilith seemed the easiest to pick up, the most balanced and I love Lillith's model and her play style.

Get some Waldergesits. With Lillith you can put out some nice cover and with bad juju + silurids you can get some nasty combinations. Put Hexed Amongst You on Bad Juju to have Waldergesist half way up the board very quickly.

So I have a game next week against ressers and know the other guy is planning to take Kirai. Never even seen her played and all I know about her is from Pull My Finger. I have Ironsides and Dark Carnival to play with and a rail golem to play with. Set up is corner deployment - turf war with ALitS, Breakthrough, Vendetta, Bodyguard and Entourage. I'm thinking: Mr Cooper (not sure about upgrades) Monkeys x2 Baritone Lola with Smoke and Mirrors & Warding Runes Performers x2 Mannequins x2 Oxfordian Mage with Blood Ward Oxfordian Mage with Doom Ward Focus on just scoring VP and leave his crew alone - possibly taking Breakthrough and Entourage. Use the performers to pull his models away from the centre and Kirai. Think Cooper is the best bet - don't think Ironsides is the best option for this situation. Any thoughts?

Tara gets a hold of her sword in the Dead of Winter campaign (IIRC she takes it from Pietro, the Arcanist at the site, who found it earlier). The Obliteration Symbiote, which is taken by the Guild, is retrieved in the M2E book with the help of Levi and the Viks. The sword she steals from the Guild in Shifting Loyalties would appear to be Blight, which can be found in the Campaign Upgrades after flipping a 14 for a barter flip and subsequently flipping a crow. It is rumoured (heavily hinted at, more like) that the sword used to belong to one of the Tyrants, likely Plague. oh, thanks for that

Off the top of my head there is a little section where Tara appears in Taelors story recalling how Tara got a hold of her sword.

Hey everyone I'm back! Had a good weekend and got in two games of Malifaux Got Dr Cooper and the dark carnival built - damn I can't believe how hard it was. Also got the first two illusionary forest markers made. Felt fairly productive.

Well Meridion's name suggests that he might be to do with geographical lines and Vannessa's described as using the power of ley lines - just wondered if the two might be linked or about to be linked. I'm assuming most of the tyrants are going to choose a host of some kind and it's seems the obvious choice for Meridion.

Just a quick thought - could Meridion be linked to Vanessa?

I've not played Brewmaster but from what I've seen it seems taking out Trixibelle (if he has taken her which in a gremlin list seems to be fairly frequently) is a big turning point for the game.

Morning all - preferred the second Captian America, Dredd was actually quite good (wasn't sure from looking at the trailers how it would match up to the comics) and still not seen Fury Road. Prometheus - well the less said about that the better.

I actually don't mind the Guilty - but have a better use for the bed and electric chair ones in a diorama I'm planning as patients of Dr Grimmel.

The Guild: Lady Justice - blind sword wielding chick who leads the death marshals? Need I say more. Rezers: Seamus - not only is he potent in game but he's also a very interesting story and he's a mix of Jack the Ripper and The Mad Hatter Neverborn: The Dreamer. His models look nice and he has an interesting style of play plus his fluff is cool. Arcanist: Kaeris - love the look of Kaeris - simple as. Outcast: Tara - she got me interested in Malifaux and wanted to get her for a long time. I like her in the stories and I find her play styles intriguing. Ten Thunders: Brewmaster - drunk gremlins. Gremlins: Wong. Amusing little bugger who causes sheer mayhem.

An academic master An oni master A Neverborn/Arcanist master. Either Mr Cooper or possibly a Faust kind of master who uses academics?

Venus flytraps where my idea as well. Or possibly cracks in the earth with vines coming out of them. What height are they - don't have the book to hand.
