Hey all thanks for commenting, I wasn't sure if I should have posted this information when I uploaded the picture but I thought I would see how it was accepted. The equation and diagram on the board is the symbolic representation of a nuclear reaction. Arthur Eddington was the "true" author of the quote I used. Although he is not the creator of the atomic bomb he is one of many who is responsible for the research into nuclear fusion that eventually did result in the end of the world as we know it when those first nuclear bombs went off. And in all honesty if a gremlin started to understand science I think we would be screwed. -

Hey all, thanks for all the comments. really shocked with all the response. @easily_mused that is where the idea came from initially just us joking about house mates being paired up in the first round and then the idea just grew until we decided to run with it either way. Like Faddius said the GW spirit hosts were a last minute buy but I do like how it turned out Wyrd V GW. In fact the entire thing was last minute running round the house at 11 at night trying to find a battery adapter for the camera. TBH I had a really good time planning, building and painting this. All I wanted from this was to get myself back into painting before I started on my crew. Even if we don't go any further in this comp me and faddius have said we are going to try and do this for every round judges approval permitting. -

This is a joint diorama between myself and faddius for iron painter round 1. thought people might like to see a few more / larger uncropped pics. Next round we are planning on doing more WIP photos ect this was left very last minute grinding as we have both been stupidly busy. -

This is my take on round 1. My model is the guild guard focused in the second row of photos. The base was done a bit differently to the norm, it was combined effort between myself and my housemate who has also entered the competition. We do not believe this breaks any rules, as we expect our separate, individual miniatures to be judged separately. But we liked the idea of having a joint diorama as a house project where we could work together and make a collaborative effort on the base in order for us to complete something larger and more elaborative then we could of possibly finished in time individually. Give us a slap on the wrist if this is frowned upon.
