  1. I tried him with Sonnia and few times with Lucius (where he did a bit better). My idea buying the model and hiring him was "to counter that pesky Waldgeists that just ruin my games" It didn't work so I tried a different aproach. The thing is I mostly play vs Neverborn and they get him really, really fast if they want.
  2. Hey there, I see a lot of you recommending Pathfinder here and there so I would like to ask you: why? I own the model (looks fantatic btw) and tried it a few times but just can´t make him work. Sure, at first the problem was positioning (from the shadow is a trap if you are unexperienced, and I really am) but then I tried to play him better... He costs 6ss, is very fragile and that 5sh is something that fails me a lot, same as his summoning does. Maybe it´s just a bad luck but just can´t get that suit when I really need it I can remember only one game that it worked "ok". Deffinitely will try hiring him more frequently, but as my local tournaments are 30-35ss still (new community) can´t really find a place on my lists. Traps themselves are great, there is no discussion, but the guy looks too weak for me. Where does the secret lay?
  3. McMourning box has nothing you can use in guild as long as you don't take a good doctor himself as a master, but he is fun to play. I see your start is similar to mine - I got Lady J and Sonnia, then bought a Lucius box... And so on, now the only boxes I lack are Hoffmann, Pale Rider and Ryle xd Soo... I think that Lucius box is kinda weak. Personally I like the lawyers, even more as I mainly play against Neverborn, but to be honest they are not must have and as time goes on I tend to take other models. Guild guards - I could say that I like them but they don't make it to get into my lists often, they are very weak on offense and slow, tgough sometimes surprisingly resilient. Sometimes not And I find Dashel very lackluster, so I don't recommend it for you. Hoffmann box is my next purchase, because I really like Hunters on paper and heard good things about them, same about watcher. So I would recommend this for you, I think hunters and watcher could work very nice with Sonnia. Can't speak about a Lady J, tried her twice this year and she is definitely not for me.. Her box though is very nice.
  4. Does Tara count as the first model activated in her turn during her second activation? i mean, can she gain reactivate during her first activation and then, as she reactivates use the (0) action that places her in the deployment zone? Hope I made my question clear The thing is that she is either the first and the last model activated this turn, thats why I´m a little bit confused
  5. Love your podcast and was waiting for this one I know what will I listen on my way to work Thanks mate.
  6. Same as Ludvig and Myyra I understood the same, that you would rather save a stone for dmg prevention instead of taking an upgrade. Just a natural misunderstanding
  7. If you manage to dispell his personal puppet with summoned witchling then attack with Sonnia putting blasts everywhere, Collodi won't live long. Probably very rare to happen but happened my last game turn 2 or start of turn 3 so it is possible. And it's pure fun (not that much for Neverborn player) About Sidir... he is very good vs Collodi because of empty the magazine, usually you hit a nice number of targets with that. Still not sure if I like him that much but only played him twice so will keep testing him. Death Marshalls.. I really can't make them work, his ca5 is low and usually they just cheat and kill him after he fails his attacks. I am a bad player though so probably that's the issue.
  8. I'm on my way to get McCabe box, just a quick question - as we do not use proxies, how will he work without hounds? Also I do not own the Hoffmann box (so no hunters nor watcher). What about Wastrels, are they good somehow or just a cheap filler?
  9. Funny thing is I faced a Juju like...three times I think and was quite painful (killed Lady J - ok, that was the first time I played her and really overestimated her power - , 2nd game he killed Sonnia and the third one just passed the entire game buried as I rejected to kill swampfiends ). His Eternal Fiend is scary, sometimes it´s more psychological ("do I really want to kill that Silurid to pop out that nasty big thing next to me?") but it works. Probably because I´m a newbie and not that good player but I really feel uncomfortable facing him. And his model is really, really nice looking
  10. *Guild spy spotted!* Just go to "home" forum and scroll down *Jumps over the fence and runs for his life*
  11. Thank you, I was thinking in context of Tara, good point Adran, now it's totally clear
  12. I am confused as the manual states that you can choose to fail a duel between two friendly models. You declare that defender chooses to relent a duel and then you flip just for attack. The relented duel is treated as a tie. Just checked the manual again and thats how I understand it. But in many battle reports we can see that players fail their actions due to not being able too cheat down. I am confused as hell xd
  13. My first post so hello everyone I just would like to clarify one thing that's bothering me - some of you said that a 3 APs are needed to take off a distraction, one to dissengage, and another two to do an interaction. But...! But the distract action is also an interaction (that rhymes... ), so how is that it's not restricted by the engage rules? I'm sure that I'm missing something, that's why I ask. I think it's 1 AP vs 2 APs ignoring engagement rules.
