  1. And I’ll just reiterate - kickstarters suffer delays. You’ve now accepted that the delays were about quality control but they set their own deadlines so tough but your previous post implied you’d have been okay if they had given a reason like quality control so you’re not exactly showing you’re willing to be reasonable yourself. So I’m not sure why you commented if you yourself were not open to open minded discussion.
  2. Also, as backers, we got access to the entire catalogue. I very much doubt that the entire catalogue will be available at launch. If you look at the amount of products on offer, each faction has 13 separate releases. This makes sense - on release, drop the rulebook, allegiance boxes, and something else like the small champions. Then for 11 months, 1 release per faction. That lets them keep the release cycle going until the next book, assuming they're sticking to a yearly cycle like Malifaux. If so, there's already a reward there for backing - you got models up to a year in advance.
  3. Bullshit. This only makes sense if the sales primary channel is Kickstarter and/or the point of the Kickstarter was to get a significantly early release. If Wyrd had said 'This game will not hit retail until X amount of time after backers get their rewards' and then broke that, you'd have some ground to stand on. Wyrd never made that claim, and made it very clear the whole point was to help the game get to retail, which was to be the primary point of sale. Personally, I'd much rather it get to retail sooner rather than later because I want opponents to play against. You can't build a community around the product if the community can't buy the product.
  4. Kickstarter projects get delayed. It just happens. Wyrd are using a relatively new (to them) material and production method. Sure, they did a couple of tests with Aoinus and the Tortoise and Hare set, but those were small compared to the amount of kits they're doing for this. Plus they've been revising their material as well (Aoinus and the Tortoise and Hare and Christmas Rasputina all have different levels of held detail and flexibility of the material). As for 'blindly' supporting a company. They've made products I enjoy year on year. I'm not sure that's being 'blind'. Blindly supporting someone is backing someone with no company history who are bringing their first ever product to market via kickstarter. That's not what happened with The Other Side.
  5. Yeah I edited out my post because after reviewing that page, it seemed to come from there. There's more information on those preview pages than I remembered.
  6. I’m guessing they made it themselves.
  7. They haven't listed a new promotion since December. They said we weren't getting any Q1 this year, looks like none for Q2 or Q3 either. Honestly they've been really busy lately so probably have been putting everything into their new products - M3E, TOS and Wyrdscapes. The promotions were nice but while doing them they didn't seem to have any large projects going either.
  8. Even taking the Doppleganger or Trixiebelle I rarely cheated Fate even if I was losing the initiative. I took them for other reasons.
  9. If you look at Cojos card from Gencon, he has an ability called Frenzied Charge, which lets him ignore the once per activation limit of Charge. The Ice Golem has Flurry, which was one per activation. After taking a melee action you can discard a card to take it again. If these are examples of what’s happening to (2) actions, it’s more about increasing player choice during a given activation rather than spending time to set it up, and increasing AP efficiency. You get the same result - you can charge and then spend your second AP attacking again, or hit a model 3 times using Flurry. But now if your second attack from Flurry or first attack from Charge kills the enemy, you have a choice of what to do next rather than having wasted AP.
  10. I would have liked to have seen a Tyrant faction, myself. There's enough that they could have made a faction out of dual faction masters like they did with Ten Thunders. Maybe even separated some entirely. They seem to be focusing on the waking Tyrants according to the fluff on the announcement page, so not having some of them them splinter off into their own faction was a little disappointing.
  11. Yeah, the Other Side. Matches the art.
  12. Well, in 2E there were often schemes based around ss costs which got wonky around things like masters and 0ss henchmen. Maybe it’s also to combat that? Also with keyword hiring, just picking the most expensive seems like a bad choice if the rest of the crew you want will now cost even more?
  13. So she decided to change her wardrobe when she got back to Earth to another Japanese style dress that's not a Kimono. She and Ikirio also got matching horned masks now, which I don't recall them having before.
  14. Just didn't come across well in the orange print. In the art it's very Asian looking.
  15. They’ve all been lined up for some sort of a comeback. Lilith is in Nythera after being mortally wounded. Same place Titania was. Nicodem may be dead, but he’s inside a soul stone in Mortimers keeping. Ramos is in a Guild prison on Earth. Collodi, last we saw him, was unhappy with the quality of the puppets he was making and went in search of his creators workshop. They probably won’t come back in their 2E/DMH incarnations but there’s interesting things that could be done with each of their returns.
  16. That's what they're doing a beta for.
  17. The description posted above for Charge says ‘push this model it’s Mv’. Move says ‘this model moves up to its Mv.’ If there’s still limits on Pushes, like Flight not working during a Push like in 2E, then there’s situations where you would use Move instead. Also Charge appears to be limited to once per activation.
  18. The main problem with Collodi for me was he never felt connected to the Neverborn. Granted I started with 2E so I don’t know his fluff before that. Same reason I’m fine with Lynch losing dual faction, another master I never felt was really connected to the faction.
  19. It sounds like they went with Pass tokens instead of just a pass mechanic (which TOS has) because it gives them something to use as a resource. In the information on Perdita, it says her crew can discard Pass tokens for Focus.
  20. Pretty sure the point of the OP is where 3rd edition is going, not where it is now. We kinda already know where everything sits right now.
  21. The explanation of even amounts of masters is the most likely reason for the Dead Mans Hand. There’s no real reason to make them optional if they’re balanced, but opening up more options for select factions isn’t great for a competitive scene. Why should Neverborn get 10, Ressers and Arcanists 9 each, while the rest get 8?
  22. I see a lot of complaints about restricting options, but let’s face it, if you care about competitiveness your options were restricted anyway. There’s a reason we had what were commonly known as the Neverborn All Stars. You had the same handful of models that made up the core of most Neverborn lists, regardless of master, and other factions were no different. The majority of the faction didn’t see the table as it was. Even if we see more common models for each master but different to others due to theme, I’ll take it as a win. Better than seeing some combination of Doppleganger, Nekima, Mr Graves and Lilitu hitting the table for most lists across faction, or the ever fun ‘X new minion looks great, but it’s no Illuminated...’.
  23. The only Guild master I have is Perdita. I like the Wild West look. If that really is Basse on that art with 3 characters and what looks suspiciously like Dashel in the middle, the badass with the coat and huge rifle, I’ll very likely have a second Guild crew.
  24. I’m enthusiastic. I never really played Collodi and was never interested enough to even buy Lynch. Losing Lilith stings because she got me into the game. But Pandora has been my go to for years and Titania is starting to get table time too. I also really dig both of their themes. I’m happy using Dead Mans Hand Lilith whenever I’m feeling nostalgic. I’m also super keen to see what they do with Lilith in the future. I’m betting none of them are gone forever and are getting reworks. I’d love to see a Outcast Lilith, working to get back at Nekima from the shadows.
