  1. In daw? One no room, two I don’t own her, three I don’t think she is needed in all crews. She’s good, but paying the cost for her isn’t worth it to me tbh
  2. Played my first ever game of jack daw and it was vs Lynch Turf War, corner deployment, assassinate, deliver message, power Ritual, dig their graves, outflank. I took: daw w/servant Montressor ligea 2 hanged 2 guilty dead outlaw this game was a very one sided game. I didn’t expect it to be as mobile as it is and I was on lynch turn two. Between ligea aura, hanged, staggered, my opponent did not have fun (it was very obv) i denied strategy points turn 3&4 while scoring full points from assassinate, possibly the strat, and highly likely dig their graves (lots of corpses and lots of free to move and interact models). this crew is very frustrating for the opponent and can be very npe.. but the sadistic part of it all is so fun! Loved the crew and will be playing it again
  3. I am interested in the alt Sybil (emeline). Pm me if it’s still available
  4. She is definitely good. I think my problem in using her is all about positioning. I likely haven’t put her in the correct places to maximize her use
  5. well my local arc player does indeed play raspy so I will avoid it.
  6. so really he has a good all-round crew. I was told avoid him into arcanists, but are there other scenarios to avoid bringing him?
  7. Where does he crew shine and fair with schemes and strats?
  8. Von schill into dreamer Turf war, standard deployment detonate explosives, search the ruins, assassinate, leyline hold their forces von schill steam trunk arik freikorpsman w/soldier for hire Librarian lazarus emissary i picked badly for schemes (or at least played badly). Assassinate and detonate dreamer chompy 2 stitched 2alps 2 daydream Insidious madness Search the ruins and detonate. First time playing the crew for me and my opponents first m3e game. I played horrid. So much is going on with the freikorps that it was info overload. My opponent hired inefficiently but was slowly out positioning me due to my own mistakes. We didn’t get to finish but long term I don’t think I would have won if only due to not playing my schemes right. freikorps are a lot of fun and actually countered a lot of what the dreamer does, but unfortunately I did not position well and I spent way to much ap handing out upgrades. I essentially didn’t move hardly anything turn 1-2 which wasn’t hurting me in the beginning but was causing me to fall behind otherwise. i need more time with this crew as it has so much tactical depth. It plays like an organized military, but doesn’t like to spread out terribly much.
  9. Thanks! Still more to know.. like any particular versatile models that synergize well?
  10. So I am jumping into the deep end with m3e but I want to learn this crew. What are the do’s and do nots? any tips on playing the crew? Good combos? traps to avoid? What role does each tormented model fill?
  11. So here has been my experience so far: the crew functions very well as a “loose bubble” meaning it can have several pieces all over the board, but it does keep its main forces together wretch is a tech pick into armor/shielded crews benny is a tech pick into heavy scheme marker crews WP pay off when you are faster than your opponent. Tbh I have never regretted bringing at least one. I won’t argue with people as many just disagree with me. Yes they are fragile but personally I expect them to die. As long as they started giving blight to something or dropped a scheme I am good. hamelin is the toolbox core of the crew, and you need to position him in a flexible spot where you can take advantage of his abilities this crew is incredibly mobile with lots of unconventional movement turn three is where you start to shine. If you aren’t by that point it’s gonna be hard to win. Ratkings are amazing.. use them.
  12. So on Von Schil's trigger, "Pull!" it says a that a friendly model can make a action targeting the placed model. Does Lazarus' attack technically target things? If it doesnt then I assume it cant be used here
  13. Played Hamelin into arcanists Marcus. turf war leyline, detonate explosives, assassinate, vendetta, search the ruins. hamelin 3x stolen nix wretch winged plague 2x ratkings with servant of dark powers midnight stalker 7 stones Opponent had marcus miranda jackalope Cojo slate ridge mauler cerberus rattler moleman 2upgrades idk which i took vendetta (ratking into Cerberus) and search ruins. he took assassinate and detonate explosives i scored vendetta for one point but rat king died. Scored search ruins for 1 and was about to score again before we called game (store closed for the night). I scored turn 2&3 for turf war opponent scores first point for assassinate, 0 for plant explosives and I denied his turn 3 scoring. Winged plague aren’t very good in a matchup as mobile as Marcus. But was a good suicide bomb turn one. Got the blight started. Beasts have low WP so the servant was brutal particularly later in the turn when hand was low (kept the bear near useless). Hamelins ability to shut down triggers was invaluable this game and the stolen did work with vomiting disease (killed Miranda). instead of winged plague, into fast crews will likely take a prospector. But the 4-point blight bomb isn’t bad if you get multiple models. Still might take if only for that
  14. Do you think rocket launcher was enough to deal with the pillars? Or would the flame thrower freikorp be good to add?
  15. Yes! I am just needing to coordinate with the store. I will also share the file here for the league (has the rules and guidelines). I am not at my computer so will have to tomorrow
  16. We will be hosting an achievement league just after Gencon. It will be for 8 weeks primarily hosted at Heroes Complex in Wichita KS. https://www.facebook.com/events/2351891934918200/?event_time_id=2351891954918198
  17. I disagree, I like taking 1-2 of the winged but I get good use out of them before I send them to suicide themselves at an enemy 😛 dont try to create the m2e rat engine. It’s gone or at least highly inefficient. It’s a mid-late game crew so it will take patience and time to learn it
  18. First of all, hamelin has been doing well for me so far so not worried there. Already figuring out where he is good or not to good. as for daw.. that description sold me. Now I just gotta get my models fully assembled and painted!
  19. I just have no interest in zipp other than the “for laughs” aspect 😛 i agree parker seems to be a highly versatile crew. Where do you see daw flourishing vs failing in schemes and strats
  20. Mad dogs blow it to hell marker.. super useful
  21. Ressers will Be you biggest weakness here as they can shut down healing. But other than that, very fun sounding
  22. That works. I work till 5 weekedays and 3 weekends. I run outcasts and soon ressers
  23. So I am looking at the outcasts to determine who I want to focus on learning for the next couple months. Fun is obviously gonna be a factor, but I also want to bring masters who can cover the strats and schemes effectively. I am thinking focussing on 3 masters to start: Parker, Hamelin, and Daw. I am not going to play Tara or Levi for awhile because they are missing important models and I don't like to proxy. I am not playing von Schill (right now) because I am still missing several models for him (namely Hannah). I am not playing Viks because I am not enticed by their look nor their playstyle. Will try them for fun at one point but not right now. I dont own Zipp and he would just be a "for giggles" master because pianos.. What do you guys think about each master and their potential? What about good vs bad matchups? preference for picking vs faction x? I have played only 2 games this edition so far, one with Hamelin and one with Parker. Parker and Hamelin bring the mobility for many scheme between Run and Gun and Hamelin's mobility tricks. Parker is great for when i need to spread out and Hamelin and Jack Daw work very well in a bubble, Hamelin being a bit more flexible. Jack Daw has more more debilitation and control built into his crew and I cannot determine where is shines. It seems to be a good answer to Reckoning or just facing a heavy killy crew (Guild). Good durability between Daw and Montrssor with the guilty being expendable. Hamelin has a lot of kill denial tricks too but isnt as innately durable as Daw. Parker and Hamelin bring good scheme marker power, Parker being a bit stronger at the counter scheming. All Crews bring damage but Bandits do reliable moderate damage, Plague do explosive late game damage, and Tormented can kill 2-3 models very well while controlling the rest. What other thoughts do you have?
  24. Ok will do. If my cards come in I will head there after work but if they don’t I will just stay home and hobby. Tired of needing to constantly look at my small phone to see my cards lol
