  1. I use what I believe Testors plastic cement (black triangle-ish bottle). it has a metal needle applicator and has never gunked up on me. I love it
  2. No you cannot use already completed minis. We want fresh paint on the minis! And yes, if it has been posted somewhere else it is definitely not allowed. I really look forward to seeing what you guys come up with! If you are still unsure what category they go in when you start to upload them, send me a pm and I will help you!
  3. So you resolved to make them a faction and also used your best jokes in their rules? I take offense to that, sir! "The Shirt Comes Off" and, it's sequel, "Sir, Please Put It Back On" were my best jokes. Anyway, I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed gremlins. In general I think aesthetics are the best way to pick. You can learn to play a model, you can't learn to appreciate the looks of one you don't like. I will agree to the aesthetics. do you like the way they look? cool! like their story? cool! like their rules? cool! all things that contribute.
  4. Collodi's concept got me into the game, but he wasnt out yet. Also after learning how picking a master works I wanted to be sure i liked all of the other faction options... i didnt... but then i found Hamlin and fell utterly in love with the diseased rats. problem was, he also wasnt out. I read all the outcast flavors and i loved Levy's story and how he looked like a really cool "mechromancer" character. He was in plastic so i got him! ..... much to the dismay of my other friends.......
  5. i really like the destiny! the last two lines would make for a fantastic, foreboding story hook.
  6. You will be able to upload directly to the gallery. I will be checking each submission so be sure to read the rules!
  7. What do pumpkins, witches, zombies, and blood-curdling screams have in common? Well they are all things that usher in the Halloween season! As Harvest and Halloween approach that also means it is time for another Rotten Harvest Painting Competition! Round about the paint pot go. On the palette throw Royal blue and blood red. Thirty-seven Days of Dread; Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and paint pot bubble. Miniatures can be submitted any time during the contest, though none will be showcased until the day voting begins. Submissions will be accepted from October 1st up till midnight EST (GMT -5) on November 2nd, 2015. Submissions after the cutoff date will not be accepted, no exceptions. Your entry will not be visible until voting starts. If you need to make a change upload the image again and inform Brian Gresham via PM on the Wyrd forum to remove the old file. We will take two days to sort the entries (Nov. 2-3) then open the voting polls on November 4th. The voting will remain open until midnight EST (MGT -5) on November 11th. The winner in each category will be decided by whichever entry receives the most votes. Every forum member has 1 vote per category. In the case of a tie, Wyrd will have an internal vote to decide the winner. For complete Wyrd painting competition rules, please see attached file. Overall Prizes The three prizes below are available once and will be selected from all of the contest category entries. Best in Show The best overall model in the contest: prize is $100USD gift voucher to the Wyrd online webstore on top of any other prizes or categories you may win. Best Base or Diorama The model that we feel tells the best story: prize is $50USD gift voucher to the Wyrd online webstore on top of any other prizes or categories you may win. Best of Wyrd Prize for the best Wyrd Miniatures entry (chosen by Wyrd staff): prize is a $100USD gift voucher to the Wyrd online webstore on top of any other prizes or categories you may win. Categories Each theme will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. Each will be a gift voucher to the Wyrd online webstore for $75, $50, and $25 respectively (all in USD). WITCHES AND WARLOCKS Spellcasters of all sorts. If they carry a wand, cast a spell or even have a hint of mysticism to them, this is the category for them. NOT QUITE DEAD YET Stumbling around after all the major organ functions have shut down? Have a beef with the living? This category is for the Undead, or as they like to be called the 'Living Impaired'. THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT Creatures, critters, monsters and other things that have a tendency towards anti-social behavior and prowl the night looking for victims. Caution, here be Monsters! TRICK OR TREAT This is our catch-all category as there are some miniatures that are just right for the theme but just don't seem to fall into any other category. Zombie Hunters, pumpkin characters, and certainly several miniatures we never would have even contemplated. A HERO'S DEMISE (Diorama Event) Everyone loves a diorama of a hero fighting for his life! But whether a poor fighter, overwhelmingly outmatched, or just plain unlucky, these heroes didn’t make it…. RulesRottenHarvest.pdf
  8. the only guild models i really plan on bringing are those in his box. I might end up phasing those out eventually, just depends
  9. Someone was nice enough to offer me some of their excess Illuminated so I am not worried there I really dont like lynch (faced him too much, bad taste in mouth lol) but i would def buy his box before i bought the illuminated on their own
  10. Ok So I have very little experience playing as neverborn (harldy any actually). I play pretty much outcasts exclusively, but I want to branch out a bit. I a looking at building a neverborn lucius crew and a colodi crew. My question for you guys is what models should i pick up that could work with both? i am getting illuminated and will pick up several effigies and coryphees for colodi, but i need more models that can be interchangeable between crews. Also I would like them to still be able to function with the other models in the crew boxes, a bigger challenge for lucius as he looks a bit challenging to balance his focus on guild vs neverborn. What do you guys think? i am open to suggestions of all kinds and even play tips :)
  11. very likely. I had a bright neon green wyrd shirt. sound familiar?
  12. Glad to be here! I do look forward to getting to know everyone and being a part of all that is to come! I didn't know about the goat riding though..... I think I might need to go take lessons soon...
  13. Depends on how you are making them. If you cut straws in half, then it is really easy to strengthen them and they work to look half submerged or something like that. Also depending on straw size, put sprue bits in them (longer bits are better) and that gives them some strength.
  14. i listen to music, in particular electronic music and dubstep, but also audiobooks.
  15. Lazarus has the ability to be posed if that counts
  16. This is the case of a "replacement effect" triggered by the words "instead of." lets say they take poison damage, then say Embalmed kicks in. The damage is replaced with the healing effect. When Welcoming Pain wants to work, it no longer has a poison damage to replace so no effect happens. This would work vise versa like Dirial said.
  17. I agree. I have never played him without rats, but I have seen some others do it. He definitely works better with using rats though, but you dont have to bring an exclusively rat crew. I know a guy who uses desolation engine with him. Masters can always be play "withing theme" but so many can be stretched beyond that. I personally think Jack Daw is high up there as far as theme lists. I have found it hard to theory craft him without his theme crew
  18. We hope here in the future to have some official videos done. I would LOVE to see some high quality work by the henchmen though I know you guyscan get it done and do some amazing work
  19. Yes, the 7 and the starter set are both in Shifting Loyalties.
  20. I agree with the official base sizes. They are put on those sizes usually for gameplay reasons and like it has been previously stated, it affects A LOT of stuff. If you feel that an old sculpt or a particular model doesnt match its base size, get creative I love to see how people modify and sculpt modifications to their bases and models.
  21. Heres the best review: ITS AWESOME! I give it a
  22. My favorite i think is Gluttony. but the 7 add a huge range of options to play with JD.
  23. Baha what cannibalbob said is mostly true But the henchmen are the players who drive the malifaux community. Henchmen are required to run at least one event a month and they get involved with several promotions to grow the community. In return they get access to special promotions for their store as well as some prize support and other stuff. During conventions, Henchmen lead the charge by volunteering and helping to run events, demos, and get their hand dirty to help promote the game. You can run a tournament without a henchman, but as a henchman you get bonuses over time for running regular good events. Thinking of becoming one?
