  2. Im also in the side that while her being a good master she is difficult to play and has an OP reputation wich doesnt deserve. Slow wounded invocations are not that good, and her upgrades add little comparing to other masters upgrades. Also if you are not careful she is very very vulnerable to enemy attacks.
  3. If im not wrong, Shikomes charge for (1) against poisoned models, not adversary.

I've played tara quite a lot and I enjoy VERY MUCH her playstyle but his biggest problem is that she is terribly vulnerable to ml attacks while she usually has to be in the thick of it to hand out fast and slow and she is quite sluggish too. She is a decent master, only if she had any defensive trigger in ml, movement trick or her bury-unbury mechanic wasnt so costly/complicated... (I hate having to take death marshals for efficient burying) Out of having fun I would chose other resser masters for competitive playing.
  5. I personally dont find seamus that weak. I play him a lot. Its very survivable and wp debuff ruins many peoples day. For me he's great at extraction and guard the stash. I dont use his big gun that much. I usually blow up corpses, rise belles and jump around when needed. Nurses are just crazy with him around. #loveseamus
  6. Kirai starter only gives you onryo (and a superb master). Personally, if you have to take one starter which synergices better with other crews go for yan lo, ashigarus and chiaki totally worth. Then buy all the other resser starters
  7. Chiaki is almost a MUST in my crews. Conditions can be really nasty (as you already know)
  8. Hi, just a quick update. Yesterday we attended to a tournament in Girona and my fellow Arcanist broke havoc with his alpha strikes in his two first rounds. First round. Colette vs Jacob: Killed two katanaka snipers turn 1 (one of them was the sucker) and finished Jacob lynch in his first activation with cerberus turn 2. Second round. Ramos vs Perdita. Killed Santiago and Abuela in turn 1 with reactivated and pushed Joss & howard Third round. His sandepp died after a charge from misaki who flipped red joker to damage (not so succesfull here) In turn 1 its a lot of soulstones lost. I find this playstyle super efficient
  9. I play all resser masters but Reva which I dont own yet. I much apreciate your advices. Luring to deceptive charges against secondary models doesnt usually works for an experienced adversary. Also, I dislike taking Izamu as 9 wounds with df4 tend to evaporate soon against armlr hate. From the top of my mind I can remember a cerberus killing nicodem with only one lucky slow action triggering several tomes, low df masters simply eat everything that comes to them. A reactivated howard Langston going around a house where Seamus was hidding and winning initiative in turn 2 for a devastating final flurry. Moving your pieces trying to avoid that fatal charge means losing tempo for completing Schemes. Staying in your deployment zone while the other player does his stuff leads to poor results too. I think that if it wasnt for that possitive flip to initiative... It is the key to that success. Maybe if ressers had a long (long like 'all board) range threat or control model that could cut this, like a CA attack that crippled movement from afar... Well, thanks for your comments! I`ve been noticing lately in my playing group a rising tendence in making very agressive lists (Hi, fiktor) and I´m finding very difficult to resist those alpha attacks that can kill your master at the beginnig of turn 2 if you lose initiative (which is quite common against arcanists). Yesterday I was reading other thread where people where complaining about flying yanusori with nimble and fast given from mccabe and emissary. I´ve not faced this but I´ve faced a reactivated howard Langston with Imbuied energies and to initiative. Or a jumping cerberus (with infinite attacks wih tomes) from a sacrified myranda and that flip to initiative usually bringing Marcus in turn 2 with accomplice . The fact is that even with noncombative strategies/schemes, begining my activations in turn 2 with 4 less models or a killed master gives no option to do anything. Usually after those loses is difficult to even take out those beatsticks that have wiped out half of your crew. Do you usually face this kind of lists? do you have an efficient way of dealing with these situations from the resser point of view? Thanks to all
  11. Hi, I`ve used them with tara a few times and I find them very useful, even charging your own armoured models to get cards (on turn 1). Also you can bury one and copy "the rage builds" with tara and charge or shot or even giving slow dealing +1 to damage and gaining cards. People seems to like Philip for card cycling, personally I find needing 2 actions and two scheme markers (4AP) and leaving her behind is to pricy for what you get I mainly tend to take her/him with seamus.
  12. Well, in spain you get those releases almost a month later (sometimes mlre than that) they're released in uk. Not a surprise that LGS here suffer from online purchasing in uk stores.

  14. Hi folks, I have a simple question. During many many many games I`ve used a Spanish fanmade translation of Datsue-ba's card where "judgement" was resisted by WP!! and yesterday in my game I freaked out when I saw that the actual english card says that it is resisted by Df!!!. So im not sure if that english card is a printing errata or the fanmade translation was terribly terribly wrong (making datsue super good with seamus) or what. Please lend me a hand here. Thanks!
  15. Hmm, not sure but I think once nekima passes her first horror duel against lucius she would gain inmunity so you can get only one extra AP from walker lucius. Is it like this?

  17. Seamus reduces enemy wp so datsue hits easier (targets WP) and everytime she gains a wp duel heals 2wd on seamus.
  18. besides, Izamu in other crews seems not very reliable to me, with Kirai it gains some mobility points but in this particular case df4 and 9 wounds can easily go away in just one furious casting ignoring armor or one furious joss ignoring everything. In my opinion those are the 10 most fragile ss (plus upgrades) ever. Sebastians undercover might work well (I like him so much but i dont think I would ever include it in a Kirai crew not knowing im facing Sandeep so it doesnt looks like an honest inclussion to me ) . Hopefully this afternoon I`ll get another try.

  20. Hi Bengt, I didnt take Datsue this time (I love her), 6 wounds against a heavy CA crew seemed risky to me. He focused at first killing my pure spirits (like the emissary) so Ikiryo didnt appear right away, he did appear to kill one vanasuba granting damage and burning to 3 of my minis . Nurses are slow and ca is just range 8 (and a primary target to fyctor XD, also mages get to WP ). But you are right I have to find how to get those pieces to work,
  21. Hi again! Nice chat here. Im actually looking forward to face sandeep again. I think Kirai should do better next time, taking Philip & the nanny (and take back the night) in extraction was a mistake I like that card manipulation but it takes 4 ap, 2 interactions plus 2ap from Philip and leaving him static needing another ap from Kirai to swirl him closer. Another mistake was putting mindless zombies from shards next to his mages because they gained stones killing them . And other problem was getting Joss over me super fast. Being inmune to adversary, having armor and regeneration, ressers, low damage outputs wouldnt take him down. To summarize I expect that working in swirling some spirits near their mages should improve the outcome BUT... (cryer mode on) Well positioned mages with flurrys that can handle slow or burning or push the target away or ignore armor, buff your henchmans with runes and teleporting seems like something you cant get in any other faction for just 5ss and difficult to handle from my resser point of view.
