  1. Finished my pledge, for the most part. Need to varnish and then add the pigments to Basse's base. Just waiting on a part for my airbrush. Also it turns out Bernadette was a changeling all along. Who knew? 19pts ready to go. I would love some C&C on Basse though. Relatively happy with it but I've been out of practice for a bit and would like to improve again.
  2. Ya, I'm honestly not sure what you would give them either. I feel like they would need to go in a different direction from the pathfinder to really have a reason for fielding them. Maybe give them an action or free action heal? Would fit the sub theme for frontier. I know they have a trigger for melee, but they don't really want to be in melee. They'd probably have to swap the heal for another ability though to stay five points. Swapping it for follow my path wouldn't be too bad since Pathfinders already do it for free.
  3. Not exactly ES, but I would like to see frontiersmen get a buff or something. Everytime I think of taking one I just look at Pathfinder instead.
  4. The biggest change I would love to see is Fae getting some love. Bultungin is probably the lowest rated model in the faction. There just isn't a good way to justify bringing them in either of their keywords. I'd love to see them lose Pack mentality and give them something like they get a bonus when next to a terrain markers. This would give them some mechanical connection to Fae's underbrush, and Savage's Ice pillars. Doesn't have to be crazy but even a +1 to final duels like what PM does, but it doesn't stack. The other thing I would like to see is something to help their role as a schemer/anti-schemer. Might be too much but swapping forage for gnaw would definitely help with their mobility. Again might be too much, but I'd like to see forage swapped for something that helps them fill their role better. Other people have mentioned giving Killjoy 2" melee which feels like an easy win for me. Not sure about Autumn Knights. I think they're probably fine, but I wouldn't complain if they got a minor bump. Rougarou would be nice at def 5.
  5. That might be an interesting take. I tried putting on a silver/iron metallic on the guards, but its not looking good. I'll be honest though I've never been great at painting metallics.
  6. Alpinist seems like a pretty easy win for a fix. Just something like "when a model starts a move within this aura blah blah blah." It would be nice if they upped its melee to a stat 5 but for 5 stones I don't think you could ask for more. I'm curious why you have Mikhail on the list? I haven't touched seeker yet so I'm not sure what he does that's bonkers. The only other model I can really think to change would be to make the Harpooner work a bit better with cooper, but thats not a huge priority.
  7. Copied from the Resser's forum, but always fun to gauge the communities opinions on the faction and the models that make it up. The Next season of GG and the accompanying Errata are fast approaching. This one is especially important for ES since this is the first errata since the factions been fully released. What models do you think need some work, and what models do you think will get a well deserved cuddle? *cough* Archivist *cough*
  8. Wip on Basse. Need some suggestions on what to do for the shin guards. I think the trim will be the same as the cloak, but not sure what to do for the plate. Otherwise still need to do the leather, gloves, gun and small details. I'll add the pigment to the base after it's varnished.
  9. @Shock & Awe something that might be a fun addition for this year is for people to post up some techniques they might want to try and improve on this year. I know I personally want to work on my airbrushing skills, and I bought a Youko crew specifically to work on freehanding.
  10. Here's my pledge for the month. Keeping it simple and just focusing on Basse, and Bernadette. If I finish these I've got some half done apex models I'll finish. I'll add in brush tips later on in the month.
  11. Going to try and throw my hat into the ring again. Didn't get very far the last time I tried this. Hopefully with the local meta going strong it can help keep the incentive going, and I can make some progress on my backlog.
  12. I've played a couple games with it with Cooper1, and it's done reasonably well. Does pretty much what you expect, big ol' beater that stomps up the board and eats something. It hits reasonably hard but it's not particularly sturdy. If your opponent has anything with ruthless you should focus it down quickly. Obeys can also mess it up quite a bit. My meta has a gentlemens agreement that territorial shouldn't prevent it from moving itself, but even still having your own model charge 7" back to hit Cooper for a decent amount doesn't feel great. Other than that, the lashing tendrils is a pretty good action that can sometimes get you an extra ap. I haven't gotten much use out of wild hunt. I feel like it's win more in a lot of instances: Cooper - if I need adversary on a key model I'll probably just use most dangerous game to do it. Model 9 - execute is cool but I normally have 9 on the flank or the enemies back field doing a scheme or strat. Artemis - I can dig it is cool but not ground breaking. Tracker is nice, but it depends on if I want to push the engaged model away from the rex. Ullr - hold down is great and might be pretty worth it, but at that point I've finished my activation with the rex, and attacked with ullr. So it would have to be a pretty sturdy target. Definitely are somethings for that but it's more of a rare occurrence then an every game thing. Cyprsis corps - same as Cooper Vatagi - dropping a bear trap next to them is pretty nice. If the activations align you can get the rex next to them. Shoot a trap next to them, have them go, trigger setup the kill and drop another trap next to them. I haven't played any games with Cooper2 but he seems like a better master to run the rex. Still potentially squishy, but moving the rex into range with a free charge, to guarantee server injury trigger, followed up by an effectively stat 8 massive jaws seems pretty cool.
  13. So what is the benefit of Stare down? What do you gain from changing drop it to an after resolving trigger?
  14. Same, I would have liked the model but was afraid of losing out on the nightmare box.
  15. Thanks for the update! I'll keep an eye out for the shipping email.
  16. I'm curious about the shipping as well. I've got a friend that received his shipping notification sometime last week, but I've yet to see anything come through. Any updates on shipping statuses?
  17. Bit of a rules question that keeps coming up. So incorporeal reduces damage from attacks. Shockwaves cause a mv simple duel for the model. Since it's a simple duel and not an opposed duel some people are arguing that the damage isn't from an attack action. Other people are arguing that the shockwave markers are made as a result of the attack action so they should be reduced. Who's right?
  18. Just started getting into Ressers with M3E. Coming from outcasts, I've really enjoyed the discord channel they have set up, and was wondering if you guys have a channel set up somewhere for talking strats, and going over models/keywords?
  19. I'll post up pictures in a bit, but for my pledge for the month I'll be working on my Shenlong crew. The goal: at least one of each monk keyworded model! (minus Fermented, Peasent and Sensei Yu) Altogether : Shenlong (15ss) Thunder Archer (6ss) High River Monk (5ss) Low River Monk (4ss) Wandering River Monk (7ss) Lotus Eater (6ss) Charm Warder (5ss) Tanuki (bonus model! 5ss) Total points is 53ss. As a personal goal I'm also going to try and paint a bit better than table top. Going to try some new techniques, like free hand tattoos for Shenlong and the Lotus Eaters for example.
  20. @Athiko Haha, I was thinking the same thing when I saw your updates earlier. Great minds think alike I guess.
  21. Alright here are my models for the month. Original pledge was for three warped, but I ended up painting a bit more. Group shot: Decided not to do the glow on the big guy. My dry brush is pretty much dead. So the osl is going to have to wait till I get a new one, but for now I'm happy with them. Test model for my crow runners, and the last model I need for my Jack Daw crew. Last couple models I need for my Parker Crew. Total comes out to 49 stones. Not particularly happy with the photos. I need to get a better camera. In other news I finished up the last models I needed in order to submit my henchman application.
