  2. I'm in Norway, and I am not (particularly) looking at unreleased stuff, but, well, all of it. I'm new to the game. I assumed it would be hard to know yet, so I guess I have to google, but suggestions on how to look is always welcome.
  3. A question, in case Wyrd does not put the things I need to start on sale - does anyone know of other places that might put Malifaux on Black Friday sale? I watch CoolMiniorNot, other suggestions will be appreciated. Need someplace that ships internationally.
  4. I'm hoping for some starter stuff - Black Friday would be the perfect time for me to get into the game!
  5. This is going to be expensive... But getting two boxes for each faction IS a good suggestion. If I go down that path, who would be good partners to my chosen masters? Also, what is in Crossroads?
  6. You're on the same page as me as well - I'm most definetly getting the book and two decks.
  7. No, I am not on a tight budget, but I am looking to make a single big order, since shipping tends to increase the cost significantly. Hence, I need to save up a little first (I've spent my fun&games budget for this month, also, I've been promising myself to paint up some of the stuff I have before I fill the house with more stuff - this has worked out nicely, I have almost quadrupled my painting speed). I want enough stuff to keep me going for a while, maybe adding a small order with a mini or three after the first few games if I see that I need to tweak. Part of what I like about games like this, is the visual part... Playing with cardboard counters wouldn't do it for me. If I wanted to proxy, I would at least dig up some decent minis form another game. So, big spending it is.
  8. An active community is absolutely a big plus. Anyone have any additional thoughts for my first purchase? I'm having a hard time trying wait to buy here... but I don't really have the money to spend, either.
  9. Okay, they do sound neat, but I'll focus on what I need and can use now at the start. I see the The University of Transmortis - Story Encounter - at a glance, this seems very interesting. But is it useful? Anyone have experience with it?
  10. I *do* like big flashy models, but it sounds like something I'm better off picking up later.
  11. Okay, here is a question right off the bat: What are the avatars? Do I want/need those?
  12. Masterdisaster: No worries, I'm a long time gamer, so I've made my share of dumb questions. For now, I'll puzzle together a wishlist, save up for it and hopefully make an order by Christmas. I also I have some other projects I want to finish before getting more models (only ca 200 Zombicide minis to go). Averageboss: Well... They aren't the most expensive thing either... Maybe I have to pick up some then.
  13. Dirial: Thank you! Asrian: Thank you for the suggestion. The fact that McMourning is dual faction was what tipped the scales in his favour. It will give me extra flexibility - but I doubt it will make buy fewer models. Nighthater: Don't worry, I wouldn't dream of getting a game without the rules. I got some terrain already, and I am working on a battle board. Masterdisaster: I already did, that helped me chose the masters - but also left me with even more questions. Tmod: Ole, faktisk. I'm in Trondheim, and while there might be players here, I don't know them... But I have many gamer friends. Mudgeblack: I was hoping to skip those... But you might have changed my mind....
  14. Hi all, I've been looking around for a new game, and after some consideration, Malifaux seems to be right up my ally! I've been looking both at these pages and at the beginners wiki, and I do feel a bit overwhelmed. I live in Norway, and it is hard (so far impossible) to buy anything locally, so I have to order. Shipping here is expensive, so I prefer to make large orders. Nobody else here plays Malifaux, so I am planning to pick up at least three masters. I've looked, and concluded that I like the style of Sonnia Criid, McMourning and Pandora, so I'll get the boxed sets for those three. Then I want some other stuff that will go well with them, but without a rulebook, I have a hard time choosing. I don't know what works, what is good, what will get me flexibility and how much I'll need. Any suggestions? I am also open for comments on my master selection (I want them to play well against each other).
