Agree with Omenbringer. Have looked at a lot of water diorama videos and 90% of selling it is the underpainting and adding stuff like ripples and foam.
Depending on how deep you want the canals you could use something like mod podge or gloss gel medium in a lot of thin layers. Takes ages but you don't have to mess around with epoxy and can add texture and stuff as you go. -
Sweet looking model. Love the colour scheme and different coloured reflections on the blade.

Ah, jaysus @Viruk. Knew you were super-talented but didn't realise you were so damn handsome too. Now what am I supposed to do with my life?

Gorgeous work all-round. You've really made these minis into pieces of art.

This is such a cool colour scheme. Colourful but not gaudy and limited but not boring. F*cking great work!

Love 'em! Just the right balance of natural and fantastical.

Look great, really love how you approached the shading and intonation on the dress.

Looks spot on. Nice touch with the sleeves and swirly magic bits.

You could put a blade of ice there as a replacement, like the avatar has. Or make like a pillar of ice coming out of the base with her hand lost in it.
Or disfigure some poor showgirl.- 1

Fair play to you! I spent far longer on her for a less good result!

I think they look great, particularly the one in her hand.

Nice, love the textures on the armour and the heat effect on the guns.

Looks good so far, very striking. Pics are a bit small to pick out the details though.

That is some really nice, crisp paintwork. Think the tie is grand enough, the mask's a great touch though.

Awesome stuff!

This community is all about sharing and helping others so I don't think anyone would have an issue with such question i'd only suggest asking more specific questions, e.g. about painting skin, material, freehand, basing techniques - that way you should get answers that could help you get more concrete details
I think I'll try to add this lot to my September pledge, let's see how it goes.
Looking forward to seeing the little scribe dude finished. One of my favourite sculpts ever.

How did you make the bases? They're really cool.

You often see rows of cypress trees in graveyards, so that could be a good option for some soft cover. Seems like they'd be easy to make and you could malifaux them up with some spikes and tentacles hidden in a few of them.
