  1. Very menacing. Never been a fan of the sculpt but this paintjob really sells it to me.
  2. Whoop! Great to see some of these old models with awesome paintjobs. Looking forward to seeing more from you in future.
  3. Looking great. Really love the basing details and the print on the papers.
  4. Wishing you guys all the best in the coming year. The challenge was a great source of motivation for me this year and I always enjoyed looking at everyone's awesome work. I'm going to try to devote more time to display painting in 2021 so I won't be participating in the challenge, but I'll definitely still be checking these threads for inspiration. To anyone considering trying out the challenge I'd thoroughly recommend it. It's a great chance to add a little spice to your projects and participate with some extremely talented painters and all around pleasant people.
  5. Nearly forgot to upload these girls before the Holidays. Here's my Christmas Panto showgirls. Tried to give them a bit of a spotlit look with more shadows on the back than the front. Not sure I did all the faces justice are they are great sculpts but very small. Cassandra and Colette Showgirls And Mannequins Which happily closes out the year for me with + 41 soulstones. @Caedrus Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. Congratulations to everyone who competed in the challenge this year. And a heartfelt thank you to Caedrus for hosting this wonderful font of inspiration, motivation and painting enjoyment. Look forward to seeing many of you again next year.
  6. @astapable Skintone on Ophelia looks immense. Others are great as usual but she really pops. The highlights on the base look a bit scratchy by comparison. Not that they look bad, but the model being so smooth makes them look like they're painted in a different style. A+ work as usual though.
  7. I miss the days when the forum autocorrected nerf to cuddle.
  8. @Caedrus - love the Ghillie suit, reminded me some Planescape fluff about levitating, disguised squirrels. Hope it's a versatile upgrade so we can see it applied to more models ;). @Boomstick - Poltergeist looks sweet! Not that the rest of the bunch don't look great also but the colour composition on that one is outstanding. @bedjy - some seriously awesome basing work there. Absolutely love the ethereal effect + lighting you've done on Kitty also. @muraki - those Beckoners are class. You've improved on both the Illuminated and Beckoner sculpts in my opinion. The Magenta glow and masks completely sell the idea of what the models are supposed to be. Top notch.
  9. Here's my pledge: Christmas themed showgirls. Or Performers, or whatever the 2020 equivalent is. Also, long reign Caedrus! Always organised, positive and inspiring. Couldn't ask for more!
  10. Looking good! Why can't you trim down those chins after priming? You can just repaint that little area after. Don't think it's an issue though as they're looking well.
  11. Gloomburg from Warcradle looks a good fit thematically, although I can't speak to the quality.
  12. Some great work on display this month! Not on my part though I'm afraid. Here's a few scenery pieces I decides to polish off before the end of the year. Probably looking at something like 30SS @Caedrus Promise I'll pledge something more interesting for December!
  13. Great job on the witchlings. They really are an underappreciated gem. Side-note, I tried to leave a comment on your blog but couldn't find any submit button!
  14. @Caedrus Looks to me like what you need is a bigger shelf.
  15. Speed painted Hoffman to go with his constructs. Thats 15 SS I thought I wouldn't be getting this month. @Caedrus Thanks so much for running the group this year. Appreciate it more and more as the months go by.
  16. Thought I'd be taking another mulligan this month but figured I could hack these out in an afternoon instead. So that's 12SS for me this month.
  17. Looks class. Beautiful contrast of lights and dark. Could imagine it as an illustration on a tarot card.
  18. @Caedrus - afraid it's a mulligan for me this month. A lot of renovation work going on at home so the only robby related thing I managed was building up this paint-cave in my attic. Congrats to everyone else on their continued, awesome progress in the challenge!
