  1. Mah Tucket: Child Rearing Ophelia LaCroix: Schooling Captain Zipp: The Teen Years The Brewmaster: Legal Adult
  2. I'm thinking an Asami with a mother bear complex, where instead of summoning, give her a bunch more health and damage output and she jumps in to 'Take The Hit" for other Oni models.
  3. Zipp: Repeating Stories Not only can Zipp interact normally, he can also interact as a bonus action that ignores the 4" limitation on scheme markers.
  4. Would Wouku Raiders just be too expensive to bother? Would be the only time the Bandit model would get Run And Gun, though.
  5. I've only been using Terracotta with Asami for A Mother's Love spam on my summons... this is definetly another good choice to use them.
  6. .... then maybe they should have errata'ed Lazarus.
  7. That may be the nail for me... that was the mechanic I fell in love with the crew for. It was a solid damage mitigation mechanic and way to waste the opponent's deck.
  8. I like your idea the best so far. "Citizens of Malifaux" would be more unique if every time there was a battle it was between 2 randomized keywords so every game was completely different.
  9. Much like Half Life 3.... every time some one asks, it gets pushed back.
  10. Well the two shot themselves are what's bad.
  11. I had the same thought. Even when you look at how much Howard & Von Schill have gone through, it's still facinating to see how less than man he is. The only real game thing it prevents is you can't put him in Calypso.
  12. I still need some fine tuning, but Yannic, Emissary, Surveyors, and all the impassable terrain!
  13. You should see the classic section of the Easter Sale like right the fuck now!
  14. So pretty much what they did with Justin's dogs, just better naming schemes.
  15. Always remember you can steamroller twice... especially if you go through a lot if models getting to the webs, just come back through the same models again.
  16. Finnigan in the streets... Queeg in the sheets.
  17. There's a trading forum under the Hobby Room forum.
  18. I have this feeling since they announced this box that by the theme of Syndicate, they are going to be in EVERY FACTION. They currently have only 3 models not in other keywords or factions. I think Syndicate will be the real virus of the Explorer's Society.
  19. Now to add to Asylum, Half-Blood, & Horseman, Jockey enters the field as a Masterless keyword. This begins to give credence to the idea that we in fact will not be getting a mounted damphir psychologist Master in our future... there will be no master for these keywords going forwards. However, with the exception of Horseman which is in multiple factions, three of these are/were Starter Box keywords, which may continue with some of the other factions going forward. Now the Explorer's Society is not doing this with their starter box, and Outcasts are using the Syndicate keyword (because I feel Syndicate is gonna spread into EVERY FACTION.... but that's a different conversation). This leaves still the completly unknown no rumors even leaked about the 5 other faction starter boxes and potentially what Masterless keywords they could bring about. Honestly, I doubt they would release another such keyword in Guild & Neverborn again, so in reality that only leaves 3 factions: Ten Thunders, Ressers, & Arcanists. What small batch aesthetic could you bring to these factions? For Thunders, I'll reiterate my fan casting of Thai elephant riders, because there is so little Southeast Asian representation in the game so far.... it's all northeastern & western. And adding elephants & Muay Thai boxing into the mix would make it different enough from Monk and add a unique model type to the game with the "Mahout" keyword (Thai word for elephant keeper). Alternatively, you could go with the other culturally popular Asian concept that had not been touched on much in the lore: Mongolia! What does their horse culture look like now in the aftermath of the Black Powder Wars & a little touch of magic-tech? You could even have the minions be a group of prisoners on 50mm bases as the Kharash expendable front line troops in the ironically named "The Hoard" keyword of 4 models. On the Resser front, what about that lady from The Dead Man's Ball story, Gwenifer Howell? It could be her, her puppy as an Enforcer, and those annoying children in her neighborhood that we suspect are very dead by now. They could be non-combat sneaky scheming pieces, and she can bonus action summon only Mindless Zombies with a severe card because she's still not that good. She could be the Henchman of the "Amateur" keyword. With Arcanists, they need that everyman. Not everyone in the resistance is a hardboiled criminal. Some are just doing what they can in the system to help without risking their lives; clerks, secretaries, accountants, etc... the paper pushers. "The Office" keyword would be just passively mess with the opponent's deck, like put the top card of the deck in the discard pile, and a resistance trigger that makes the attacker discard a card of their choice, or maybe a ranged distraction attack, all with Disgused, but none of them can actual deal any damage. What say you? What's your Masterless Keyword Concepts?
  20. There's two things I loved that I know we'll never get back from 2nd edition, but I'm gonna mention them anyways: The static scheme that was in every scenario. There used to be 4 random schemes plus a Scheme that was in every game. I'd want to make it a stupid hard one to pull off though, so you could always go for it, but it was super hard to get both points for it. Faction Specific Schemes, they were schemes that were available to be put in the pool only if you were playing that faction. I say this as the Outcast player who had the worst/best faction scheme (when you declared the scheme you gained 3 soul stones but you could not gain points from the scheme.... obviously it was called "Money First").
  21. What if you could give a model I base contact Distracted as a general action?
  22. When I declare Zipp vs a marker master, Wrastlers are needed.... but maybe. When markers are Underbrush or Ice Pillars or Shadows, 1 or 2 with Mancha is good. Pyre Markers, or other markers that hand out damaging conditions, and you cannot keep up marker removal and condition removal with Wrastlers and keep them alive, so I just use Mancha . Also, the 0" melee isn't the point... the "2 marker removal even if there is no one to attack is the key!
