  1. Hi there folks, I’m located in Sheffield (UK) and returning to look into Malifaux after several years away (I haven’t played since about 2016)! I’m looking forward to seeing how amazing the game is (to be fair, it was always amazing!) with all the extra stuff like a new faction, new masters and Malifaux Burns. Exciting, if a little daunting Catch you all on the other side of the Breach!
  2. I have a bit of Neverborn and a couple of things for Ressers. I've played literally two games over two years ago so I consider myself very much a newbie (and a wargaming idiot). Hehe. I'm just recovering from some back surgery so hoping I'll be able to pop over after Christmas I hope that'd all be alright
  3. Thanks for the replies, guys. I was a little apprehensive about posting for the first time for some advice but I'm humbled by how great the Malifaux community seems to be this is loads of awesome info. I'll definitely proxy some models, Namtar - that's a great idea! Thanks for the rundown of some great minions, Swiglitz! That must have taken you some time so thanks very much I'll definitely be looking at summoning some of these in first games and see what works before getting some. It'll be fantastic if Wyrd are able to slowly make the switch to plastic as I was very impressed with the model quality and how little tidying I had to do! Thanks for the help with this, I feel a lot more clued up and now know it's just a matter of trying them out before committing myself Thanks again
  4. Heya guys! I'm really new to this wonderful world of Malifaux. I've not yet played any games and bought the Nicodem box set (Open Graves) a few days ago. I absolutely loved the models and the idea of cool zombies so chose based on the minis not on how he plays. Sorry if this was answered elsewhere, I have tried searching for it and can't quite find the answer I've gathered that Nicodem summons quite a lot and from what I've read on the forums you need a decent collection of zombies including canine remains, maybe a Hanged, some Necropunks (still not sure if any of these are correct/decent). I'm wanting to get some beginner games in and I'm wondering what (if anything) I would need in addition to my box set to make Nicodem useable. I hope this makes sense just that I'm getting a sense of dread that I need several models in addition to my boxset to properly play him Especially as I've seen people with other boxes having good-to-go crews. Thanks ever so much guys!
  5. Thanks for the replies M4dH4tter, I might take you up on your offer sometime of a game - I've not had a go yet but I'm looking forward to it I love how accepting you guys are on here to newbies Oddly enough Tigerstyle, I bought my Malifaux stuff from Outpost just yesterday, it's pretty cool in there and I'm hoping to get in there a few times and maybe play some games Glad to hear there's a good scene in Sheffield hehe Thanks Jimmy! Again, I'm humbled by how cool you guys are to the new bloods. I'll make sure to message you and we can see when we're both free and you're around the Sheffield area Thanks again guys! 6. Hi guys! Hopefully a fast intro... I'm 31 from Sheffield, England, and have become a first-time dad 3wks ago I'm pretty new to tabletop games in general having only been playing 40k since last year with the help of my brother-in-law (he's also going to get into Malifaux - going for Viktorias). I've been out on my lunch break today and bought my first lot of Malifaux I've gone for Nicodem (the Open Grave box which I've heard is the new box set), the small rulebook and a fate deck so I can hopefully start soon. I'm looking forward to getting into a game which looks so awesome with pretty much everyone saying how fab it is to play also, the community on here looks pretty ace and seems quite accepting to the new bloods/newbies Thanks for reading and hope to catch you all soon -Brucey
