  1. Thanks for all the answers. And thanks a bunch for the link Math, just ordered 3 books Now the only thing I am mising should be the 1.5 book. How much fluff and character background does this book contain?
  2. Aww, guess I'll have to look on Ebay or something then.
  3. First off, sorry if this is the wrong place for this thread, wasn't really sure which subforum to post this in. Since I recently had my first game of Malifaux, and have read the 2 Edition rulebook, I wanted to read up on the rest of the Malifaux fluff, and figured a good place to get most of it would be from the older rulebooks. I go onto the webstore, and find that the 4 books are available for cheap, around 30 USD for all 4, hooray! But after making an account and getting ready to check out, my total is now 90 USD! Thats a wee bit more than I am used to for shipping, even when living in Norway. Are the shipping costs generally high on the webstore, or is it just because the books would be heavy? Where I live the closest store selling any miniature related is a 4 hour drive away, and they only sell GW products. (they have a killer selection og Lego and Manga though)
  4. A bit late on the reply, seing as I had my first game friday, but to update: My first ever game of Malifaux was fun, though I did end up loosing. I choose poorly among the schemes we flipped for, not remembering all my Stolen and Rats could not make scheme markers And due to poor playing on my side the rat Catcher and Obedient Wretch did not see melee or do anything useful the first turns... And my opponent had some really good flips on his actions for the most part, and most of my damage dealt was just healed on the following turns/activations. But regardless, we both had fun, and I did pick up on a few things that I should and should not do the next time Hamelin and Lynch face off. And since me and my opponent basically have starter sets it was kinda difficult to make lists tailored to schemes. We actually did this wrong, and had made lists beforehand.
  5. Heisann. Holder til i Nord-Troms, uti ingemannsland. Men vi er heldigvis noen stykker som sysler med denne hobbyen her (takk og lov for nettbutikker)
  6. Thanks for the tips. Definately have to try smacking around his crew with his own models, sounds hilarious. I actually have a bunch of 40mm bases, for other projects, so I'll look into some suitable proxy for a Rat King (is this slated to get its own release sometime soon?) and Killjoy. And I should be careful of getting brillianced, and be careful of the illuminated if/when models gets it. Got it. Thanks again guys!
  7. Hello. I'm having my first proper (2E rules and cards) game tomorrow against a buddy of mine, of 30SS. I'll be using Hamelin, and he will be using Lynch. We both got the starter boxes, and I have some additional rats and crooligans. Any things I should be aiming at doing, when using Hamelin, and anything in particular to look out for from Lynch and crew? I'm thinking "give stuff blighted" is usefull, but any other tactics to be aware of? And for the future, what should I look towards buying to Expand upon Hamelin?
  8. Hello all. I have recently been introduced to the world of Malifaux by a buddy of mine, and we have half a game under our belts so far. (we had 2E rules, but 1,5 cards it turns out, and it was very hard to figure stuff out ) I am fairly new to the entire miniature hobby, and have only been playing miniature games for about 2 years. But I got bitten by the bug bad, and I now have 13! different armies and factions spread across 7 different systems. Though most of these are "future projects" due to one insanely good deal for several armies at a local thrift shop This has also given me the dubios title of "king of unfinished projects" and a black belt in buy all the things! When it comes to Malifaux I have the Hamelin starter, and I will have my first proper game tomorrow, so I might lurk a bit in the Outcasts subforum or ask for advice. I also love the look of several other starter sets, and will most likely end up with a few more before long... Cheers!
