So, i attended adepticon over the weekend and am a very new player. I had my big rulebook with me, and I thought it was at the bottom of my bag when I packed up. But it wasn't there. So did anyone get home from adepticon and found that they had a extra brand new one? Just checking here, cause I really liked having the big one so I could see all the wave 1 cards of the other factions so I could learn there tricks, and I don't really want to buy another after only having that one for a week.

I'm not saying only the 8 play, right before the tourney starts, take the top 8 that are present, and they are placed into the champ bracket, with everyone else playing the same as day 1, or everyone else playing in a consolation bracket with a prize for top player of that bracket.

As a new player to malifaux, I would have liked to see that day two of the masters, with the last three games, the remaining top 8, should be bracketed into a tournament playing for 1st thru 8th place. Kinda weird to see people who lost in game 1 ranking in top 10. There schedule becomes easier.

As a new player that attended adepticon this yearand strictly played malifaux, as I am always there playing 40k and warmahordes in previous years. I was very surprised to find out there wasn't malifaux adepticon exclusives, or pre releases, or just actual whrd staff there to talk to. The turn out was great for malifaux this year, over 100 people, and many of my warmahordes and 40k player friends are now interested, cause they saw some nicely painted stuff of the new plastics. I defiantly think there should be some wyrd staff there with some nicely painted starters and demo sets in the halls, and a place where we can throw money at them to get product.

O sorry, best appearance in masters was the guy with the beautifully painted ressers.

I don't know the name of the person who got best painted and I didn't see his army, but he was the Asian guy that was in the costume contest. I thought I had a chance, but I was being judged in that very heated match. So not sure if that had something to do with it.

I played nick in the final round with my guild, I was 4-0 going into the finals. Before coming to adepticon I had 1 full game played and 2 games played to turn 2 and 3 as sort of demo games. So my noobiness allowed him to get a defensive trigger off and get a needed push, in order for him to get deliver the message. That and I never played one of the schemes and strategies before lol. I was happy with the loss and can say I killed collette tho. Was a great learning experience, and thanks to all the people I played over the weekend and teaching me the game and being patient with me and my noobiness.

So.... I ended up playing for 1st place in the final round of the masters at adepticon. Was 4-0 going in to the 5 the round, and my lack of experience cause me to trigger my oppenents defensive trigger, which allowed him to get deliver the message, after I set up so there wasn't a way for him to get it.... Wow what a weekend. Can't wait to learn the other factions and then play in a big event next time when I have some experience.

What about if a model dies to burning condition, can I make a witchlings? Under burning condition, a model takes the damage. The remove the burning condition. The latter part is not a trigger. So would it be the model dies before the burning condition is removed (since the remove part is not a trigger, death comes before) ?

Thank you for that answer. And for witchlings, the damage is a aura from witchlings from there death = damage from this model = +1 burning.

We'll if didn't place a flame wall in front of my self or a dedicated melee or feed the melee monster with a guild hound or witchlings, then yes, I played stupidly.

I started the guild cause the plastic minis are awesome looking, and originally I wanted to run perdita. But sonnia really looks like a take all comers type if her crew is set up right. Create LOS blocking terrine, a 3" bubble ca actions with imprinted suit (can't lure Francisco away) she can be 8 defence, she can really start pushing forward and be protected, to create witchlings.

So in a tournament, would every time this would matter, would we have to coin flip or something?

Don't special rules take precedence over normal rules, so as I was saying above, damage then burning then death.?

Really.... I'm new to the game and forums, but is there no one that makes official ruling for these kind of questions before they get out of hand. I'm used to playing warmachine hordes, and when a serious question is asked, if a official ruling is not already made, one gets made. My reason for why it would get burning before dieing is that there are already special action and rules that happen before death, such as dropping scheme markers. So normally one is damaged, and if enough damage occurs, then you die. But with her trigger you are damaged, then get burning, if enough damage occurs then you die.

I have a question about Sonia's trigger consuming flame. If I kill a model with enough damage does it get the burning +1, before it dies. Cause after damaging, it should.

Hey everyone, I just got my minis (the guild) primed and looking to get my 1st game in tomorrow. Taking a step away from playing warmahordes this year at adepticon, and will be playing malifaux instead, so now I just need to get good enough so I can maybe win one game in the masters, lol. And hopefully I can get a lot of the painting with my airbrush done this weekend.
