  1. First of all welcome I am new to Malifaux as well. I like the game the mechanics and that you can trigger actions and create combos making it very strategic and tactical. Have fun.
  2. Aye. I am really hoping to learn this game. It was great fun and I can see this game living on combos and team selection. That's what I love. Would be great if the Wyrd guys would come back to me and my email but other than that I am really looking forward to Misaki and Co. landing.
  3. As a new player I am only going by stats and my limited understanding. In a friendly encounter I would say one is OK, two would be a bit OP especially combined with say Lone Swordsman. For a tourney these three would form the base of my crew as of now.
  4. Other than 25mm moisture resistant mdf? Nope. Right is what you say is right. If you want a quick and cheap way look at paperterrain (220gsm is not really paper anymore) and if money is no issue look for mdf terrain. Are you planning a single tile board or want to cut it in 4 smaller pieces?
  5. The Archers are indeed intended to cover the brawlers. The Sniper is so far my favourite model but 2 in a friendly game is a bit OP imho plus I like variety. I certainly need more games and experience to have insights like those you posted but I am really looking forward to it. Edit says: Thanks for your quick response.
  6. Just had my first game of Malifaux and ill get into it. Made a crew as well. Misaki +Disguise 2ss Katanaka Sniper 7ss Ototo Rare 10ss +Call the Thunder1ss The Lone Swordsman Rare 8ss Torakage 6ss Torakage 6ss Torakage 6ss + 6ss Soulstone Pool Okay now tear it apart as it is my very first try. Maybe I should add that I will include Archers at a later stage replacing Ototo and 1 Torakage with 2 Archers.
  7. Played my first game today with Euclid and it was great. He was very patient as the mechanic is a bit different from what I am used to. What can I say. Ten Thunders Misaki here I come.
  8. A big hello from me here. German guy living in Scotland and just bought the Malifaux rules manual. Looking at the Misaki box as a starter and someone to demo the game for me. Also I am about to launch a tabletop magazine and contacted the Wyrd guys for possible support. Thats me here.
