Last night I snatched Anya from the middle of her crew and killed her turn 1 using it. So good. Also, the coffin thing makes pine box usable, though the wound tax was very noticable last night.

So how much do you lean in on this? All dmr and dm? Do you leave the lone and pale behind? Emissary?

I'm still not using phi anymore. I'm thinking about Emmy though, and guardian is still my take into Ivan. I think I prefer rider for the initial deploy forward, though that might change

I've been thinking through my Sonia 2 lists and the more I play her the more I think she's still going to end up super friending rather than bothering with enraged by the mage. So I figured I would start a thread to get your thoughts, but also so that when the next guild title is revealed, we can talk about whether that one will play in theme or not.

I'm thinking about a 3 false witness, 3 guild mage lucius crew. Attacking WP at a neg is really nasty with a 2/4/5.

Never used ancient words but used the bonus a lot. I suspect position + rule of law will be the more common action with them, though if you are already in position or are facing something like a fire golem, that attack has great potential value.

I tried both of them with Lucius last night and was really impressed. Even without marker schemes In play, they both did a ton of work for me. Mages around investigators and lawyers makes them a ton more survivable.

Have any of you proxied to try these yet?

I'm really liking the gunners with investigators in theory. Guns giving staggered, or if they miss instead him dropping a scheme market and hitting someone with an irresistible push, seems like a good situation for them. Guild mages spreading heal with they use intimidating authority or interrogate (ok I know they will never use interrogate) seems good too.

Yeah but they don't count. They are dirty explorers and things we just want to die.

If they were witch hunter they would have attuned, which I'm sure got nixed somewhere in the design process.

This forum does have a bit of a tendency to absolutism. That's been true for a while in 3e. While I've had local success, I can't speak to the secrets of success at the level of the VWC. Yall might absolutely be right. But it seems to be there have been several people who have reported success at local tournament levels with crews that are far outside of the guild all star builds that have been discussed. (Callum's Basse, Oli in the England league, Andre with Sonia, even I think militarons lj doesn't really play the all stars). I don't think there is any one poster on here (of us guild players that is) that tends towards the level of absolutes that is being described, so much as the collective voice resulting in this forum tends to feel that way.

I've been liking 2x spelleaters with llc in Sonia. Maybe that, a steward, pale rider, and then flex the rest of crew for schemes. A lawyer would put you at 41, and I've been told I should be starting with the lawyer when I crew build. I haven't played a lot against Reva though.

How much does a reva crew bunch up?

It gets a lot uglier if you are running Lucius. If it weren't for the guardian I shouldn't run Lucius into explorers at all because of Ivan.

I'm running guardian and riotbreaker ook against Ivan. Makes my higher wp crews not so vulnerable.

On a slightly more serious note, what is your anti Ivan take? I'm really liking a guardian and a riotbreaker.
