  1. I'm in China too. I have to have my stuff shipped to family in the US and they send it to me here. Where are you at? I'm in Chengdu. I've been assembling models to pass the time because of the virus lockdown; I'm painting today. However, its been a while since I've played. I play with my girlfriend from time to time, and I used to play on Vassal with a friend in Korea. I'd love it if I could find a group here or even start one, but its easier said than done. The app is amazing and I'd highly recommend it. With the app and the rules you could play on Vassal to test out the new system. One thing I've had issues with here is finding primer. You can get Tamiya primer online but I've been using Dutch automobile primer. You can get GW primer from Shanghai or Hong Kong, but its not easy. Out of curiosity, what is your plan for starting crews? Teaching it to my girlfriend, I've found that some are better than others for beginners if you plan to bring players into the game. M3E has a bit more bookkeeping than M2e as a lot of Masters have a signature skill that relies on unique tokens, but the new conditions and consistency of named actions and triggers across models is great.
  2. This same situation has been happening to me and I have no idea what to do about it. I was sent the wrong model and had a model missing. I was notified that one model was not available and asked to respond with what I would replace it with. I replied within the deadline, but got no response. I assumed the default option would happen due to the lack of response, but when I got my models there was no replacement and to make things worse I was given the wrong model for one of my other choices. I tried to e-mail the person who initially contacted me from Wyrd a week ago, but I still get no reply. I don't want to make too much of a fuss because I love Wyrd and Malifaux; mostly I just wanted a response to my issue but I've been ignored so far. I have pics of the e-mails and haven't opened or assembled anything from the shipment yet. What should I do?
  3. In my experience, the Whiskey Golem is a speedy tank who has always annoyed my opponent. He may not have the offensive potential that Gracie does, but he can walk 18" and charge 12" (if you include the nimble move). This means that he can choose who he engages more than Gracie can, so he can target models with low Ml or Wp to utilize his defensive trigger and buffing. I've had good results foregoing the attack altogether and just tying them up and drinking to heal; add Dirty Cheater to that and he becomes a big thorn in your opponent's side. Gracie might tank better ('eat your fill' really puts her over the top) and have more damage potential, but WG's speed means he will usually end up in a key location or get to choose who he engages. Basically, Gracie is more straightforward as she takes dmg and deals dmg while the whiskey golem is more about controlling the table, engaging models, and gaining card advantage with his trigger.
  4. I am guessing that the tourney might have passed by now, but I would switch one nurse for a crooked man. The ability to splash poison at range keeps you from having to rely too heavily on Transfusion, and he can paralyze in melee.
  5. The Governor could have been killed and replaced by shapeshifter (mimic) as a power grab.
  6. With Nico, you have almost everything that you need in my opinion. Some mindless zombies would help (I use unofficial mindless zombies as there isn't enough variation in sculpts, but there are plenty of suitable zombie models) and I will second the people suggesting necropunks. I take lots of cheap, fast models (canine remains and necropunks) and move up quickly. If they die, they leave a corpse which scares your opponent as it is likely to become a punk zombie. The moment that I realized my minions were just moving corpse markers was a breakthrough for me. The flesh construct is a good distraction for his crew and can be healed back to full or given fast. Nico likes to have SS and upgrades, so start off cheap and summon the heavy hitters. The only model that seems to be missing from the suggestions are crooked men. I find that crooked men work wonders with McMourning and especially Sebastian, they have natural defenses against shooty crews like the Ortegas, and they pair well in tandem with flesh constructs vs melee crews.
  7. The game that I figured this trick out my opponent just happened to be playing Jakob Lynch's avatar. It was an achievement league, so I ended the game with a straight and he had 4 of a kind.
  8. This issue has come up a few times recently and I can't seem to find an answer to it in this forum, so I decided to start a thread. I've been playing Snowstorm a lot recently and he has Bulletproof +3. My friend play Abuela Ortega who has the slug trigger which generates a second damage flip. Is the damage from the trigger considered to be part of a 'Sh' action and thus reduced by bulletproof, or do I reduce the initial damage flip and the second one is not subject to reduction (as the first is from a 'sh' action but the second one is a trigger)? We've been playing it the second way, but it seems odd that the triggered damage flip is not part of a 'Sh' action.
