Your ticket has been rolled over, if you and Mr Doxy attend that would be amazing but I understand if you choose not to.

    Luke

Hi Luke could you, for the avoidance of confusion, take myself and Mr. Doxey off the list.  I know this will be huge disappoint to our many, many fans but we are doing other stuff.

There is clearly a difference between a duel total and the final duel total (Which is calculated, and then may be altered so gets recalculated again, so the step called "Determine Final duel total" determines a duel total which is not the actual final duel total, but is still called a final duel total.

If you read through the steps of a duel then it is obvious that things which will affect the final duel total WILL NOT have any affect on the order of cheating because the cheating has all occurred before you determine the final duel total.

This is my issue.  That line of logic is fine and without issue when applied to abilities that specifically affect final duel totals.  The issue being pushed is that because there is no reference to modifiers when determining current duel total at the cheating stage in the rules manuals then all abilities which modify duel totals have to be treated as if they say final duel total even if they say they simply say affect duel totals, even though, in the case of Chi, you are being required to choose to apply an ability at that the current duel stage of the process . It is a corner case issue for Shenlong, it is a mess for Yan Lo.

  3. This particular point and points like this come up across / are pushed on multiple platforms.  They also end up coming up in tournament games, often when a player can squeeze some advantage out of it.  I’ve conceded points in game when I’ve had neither the time or energy to start trawling through rules to argue the finer points of the English language.  More often than not these debates just create an alleged level of uncertainty with the inevitable it needs an faq.  If this was a purely esoteric debate then they’d be no issue but it isn’t so it effect can be tiresome.

That's a misleading way of cutting the tournament results (at best).

Now we can argue about the right way to count events, and if we should count from a time when the beta was still tinkering around the edges or not, but I really don't think it's honest to present a narrative that TT aren't doing really well at both local and national levels in the UK.

James, locally TT's get chucked in the bin by a filthy Arcanist player on an every bloody week basis so technically it feels very honest when we play :(

I've seen the Arcanist and Neverborn Faction books been flagged as "in stock" but in limited quantity at Element Games, and Bayou and Ten Thunders being flagged up for arrival friday next week (after several week of being delayed to next Thursday every week for at least 8 weeks).
It seems Wyrd is slowly getting out of its production and shipping issues.

see above, there were loads on the shelf today.

Why are all the major UK suppliers out of stock of so much M3e?

It's the UK Nationals in 2 weeks and I can't find anywhere with some key models in stock.

Really sad about this release schedule.

    Not technically true

Contact Leodis Games (Leeds), was there about an hour ago they had 3-4 copies of most of what is out.  Was tempted by the TT faction book.

From my POV it is simply the actual Markers that were removed are then dropped. Scheme Markers do not change between friendly & unfriendly.

As TO that’ll do for playing shenlong in the event.  On a wholly unrelated note does anyone have a lotus eater I can borrow?

  8. Speaking as an actual Shenlong player a number of things work.

Kiria is the most challenging her vengeance ability really stacks up particularly as the onslaught trigger is just as important (it generates Chi rather than consumes it) as the irreducible trigger.   Same is true of her favourite secondary beater Yasanori that depends on onslaught and hates chip damage.  THis is also true of terrifying models, it matters, draining hand of of low cards and moderates works  because of how Drunken Style works.

Shenlong hates the totem outside of reckoning, such a waste of resource if the bloody thing pops right back up after killing.

Any model that prevents attacks generated by charges and or retargets attacks, Ashagari have been super effective in disrupting a Shenlong.

Kill the scheme runners and totems.  I have lost games whilst murdering a crew because they have sacrificed their beaters  to kill my point scoring minions.

Don't be scared of the Charm Warders they are a great model for 7 points  but they have to be up front / in melee to be truly dangerous to a summoner and they have nothing but chi to keep them alive.

Shenlong will have ways round most counter picks but remember all of those way round will be way less efficient than Drunken River Style spamming onslaught/irreducible

I have been beaten by a number of times by Resser masters, Kiri, Von Stuck and Yan Lo (That was in TT but I believe the approach was transferable).  It always been because of smart picks, smart positional play and making that game winning choice when it matters.

I don't think that's true either. More and more results from local communities that haven't banned duel masters are coming in that are showing that duel master can be a liability in less skilled hands and that even between two highly skilled opponents duel master isn't necessary to win. I think it's very powerful and am definitely keeping an eye on it in our own meta as there is one player who is one of (if not the) best player in the area who is dead set on only running duel master resser lists, but duel master just does less in some factions. Arcanists only have a couple of good duel master combos, and Neverborn frequently needs too much in keyword support to run a competetively viable duel master list. Guild is great with it but frankly needs all the competitive help it can get. Outcasts are usually pretty middle ground, and Bayou generally doesn't want duel masters. Really it's just Ressers and 10T that benefit a lot from duel master as they have the most masters that can work independently of their own crew.

I'm open to seeing that proven wrong, but that's what the areas around me where my players are coming from has been supporting so far.

It has effectively been banned in all significant Tournaments across the UK.  I see no appetite across the top tier players for the ban to be relaxed.  I loved playing duel masters Dreamer/Zoraida was amazing was utterly shit to play against in many strat and scheme  pools
