  1. I recently got my Rail Golem, all put together and primed, now I am unsure on how to paint him so he looks like he's made of metal. I could just do grey, but that's boring, so my question is, is there a painting technique to make 'coloured' metals?
  2. Alright, thanks guys, I'll pick up the book next time I can.
  3. Basically, I was wondering if anyone had digital copies of the arsenal cards for Wave 1. I don't want them to use, I just want to read over them and get familiar with the other factions. I have the Arcanists and Outcasts arsenal decks already, but reading the cards of the other seems like the easiest way to learn about them.
  4. My local store doesn't keep a very large stock of Malifaux, so I'm looking for somewhere online I can order from. Right now the only thing I'm looking for is the Ramos box set. May as well put this here to: does anyone know where I can get nicer scheme markers, blast markers etc?
  5. Can anyone give me an example of a good crew that has good synergies with other Arcanist models? It still seems to me, all 'Frozen' models need to be with Rasputina to be good, Constructs with Ramos, Beasts with Marcus. Whereas it seems to me that models like the Death Marshals for the Guild, can work well with any master, and still not lose their power. Basically, the reason I haven't just jumped to Arcanists yet, is because if I buy the Rasputina box set, then some individual models (such as the Acolytes), they will only work effectively with her, and not other Masters. The problem with this is, I don't find it as cost effective, or as fun with crew variety.
  6. Which Faction to use Here is where I'm having a lot of problems. I'm torn between The Guild and Arcanists. I've pretty much ruled out the other factions, for various reasons, which leaves me with these two. I don't expect anyone to tell me which one I like more, because that is just silly, but I would like some more insight to determine which one I would rather. Perhaps address some of my opinions, or point out something I'm missing. Here's where I stand on both of them: Guild: I like how they are heavily ranged, but aren't scared to get in close. They have some really neat units (Nino's range comes to mind), but the main problem I have with them, is I find a lot of the crews similar, with little variety. They also seem rather simple to play. I'm not saying they aren't amazing, but I'd rather play crews/factions that are a little more versatile, and 'complex'. Arcanists: Arcanists seem rather versatile and complex. I really like how their Masters are all quite different, but seem almost too different. By this I mean that there are only a couple of units that would work well with each master, where the Guild seems like a lot of different units could work well with most of their masters. How buildings a crew works I'm a bit curious about this. To my understanding, the box sets come with 25ss crews, which from what I understand is pretty standard(?), but what kind of versatility is there for crews. For example: can I take any unit from the Arcanists, and put them with Rasputina, or is there limitations. Basically, I'm just curious on how much variety there is with different factions/crews. I understand that there are some units that work better with certain Masters/crew types, but it seems kind of like there are only a few units that can work well with each Master.
