Which Faction to use
Here is where I'm having a lot of problems. I'm torn between The Guild and Arcanists. I've pretty much ruled out the other factions, for various reasons, which leaves me with these two. I don't expect anyone to tell me which one I like more, because that is just silly, but I would like some more insight to determine which one I would rather. Perhaps address some of my opinions, or point out something I'm missing.
Here's where I stand on both of them:
Guild: I like how they are heavily ranged, but aren't scared to get in close. They have some really neat units (Nino's range comes to mind), but the main problem I have with them, is I find a lot of the crews similar, with little variety. They also seem rather simple to play. I'm not saying they aren't amazing, but I'd rather play crews/factions that are a little more versatile, and 'complex'.
Arcanists: Arcanists seem rather versatile and complex. I really like how their Masters are all quite different, but seem almost too different. By this I mean that there are only a couple of units that would work well with each master, where the Guild seems like a lot of different units could work well with most of their masters.
How buildings a crew works
I'm a bit curious about this. To my understanding, the box sets come with 25ss crews, which from what I understand is pretty standard(?), but what kind of versatility is there for crews. For example: can I take any unit from the Arcanists, and put them with Rasputina, or is there limitations. Basically, I'm just curious on how much variety there is with different factions/crews. I understand that there are some units that work better with certain Masters/crew types, but it seems kind of like there are only a few units that can work well with each Master.
