  1. Without obliteration symbiote to unbury Karina's summons you can only summon once per game with her right? Am I missing something there?
  2. I agree that Spare Parts is a revelation with Resser Tara for all the reasons already stated. Rotten Belles play an integral role for Temporal Shift they make a world of difference.
  3. Every time I play against summoning Dreamer by the end of turn one or two I'm usually loudly asking "SERIOUSLY?". I play lots of summoning masters but Dreamer is just insane! By the time we have plastic lelu/lilitu or however you spell it we will all be asking the same thing.
  4. I would love to see a Resurrectionist/Arcanist Dual faction master that focuses on the cold/death motives similar to like a frosty deathknight idea of WoW. He could have som sort of aura around him in which nothing can grow or thrive and he would summon Rimebound Dead (stolen from MTG). Could be cool.
  5. I want to keep this thread going so heres a Yan Lo tactic I don't see anyone mentioning. Jaakuna Ubume makes for a powerful model for Yan to lightning dance into. Adds some extra threat to the action. Jaakuna also synergizes with the spirit part of Fury of the Yomi and wears Armor +2 like a champ in combination with incorporeal.
  6. I will also give props to cadaver's article, that was a great read. I do think Viks are a pretty tough matchup for Tara but in game one (and I assume many games in the future) I out activated and out schemed my way to victory. How do people feel about Laz? I feel like he could really come in handy being so durable and ranged oriented.
  7. I have just made a commitment to play Ressur Tara for 10 games in a row in an effort to learn her better and after the first two games I played I am sort of struggling with what to try next. I have never really been that into the delivery through bury strategy so I still haven't even tried using obliteration symbiote. I also still haven't tried Karina or void wretches as I am not convinced they are more valuable than some other ressur minions. I enjoyed playing Tara with Spare parts but that was the game I lost. I have a 1-1 record so far and could use a little help! I will be playing quite a few games against the Viks too if that helps with any advice.
  8. I want to write a tactica about models that don't require cards from your control hand to work well. I could use a few extra thoughts to round out my own and also some community suggestions about models that fit the description. Here's the gist:: Cards are a precious resource, and there are many models that NEED cards from your hand to be effective. There are also models that do not require cards to be effective. Pretend there is an imaginary stat on each of your cards that equals the amount of cards from your hand that you will need for that model to be effective each turn. Lets call it Cards Required or CR. Then, theoretically you should add up that stat from among your whole crew and if it is greater than six you may have a problem on your hands (pun mileage may vary). This comes largely from playing against and with Punk Zombies who are one of the prototypical examples of this for me. A PZ has base melee 6 with plus flips. Once he is in combat he really needs no further investment, though, your lowest card in hand could give him flurry if you wanted. This would be a CR of 1 or .5 if you want to get fancy. Half CR could represent simply discarding a card which is almost always less of a resource investment than a specific suit or higher card. When a model has such low card investment it becomes less and less about how much they can accomplish on their own and more about how they are supporting the rest of your crew just by leaving them excellent cards to use. High base stats are definitely a major factor in this but there are others and I would love some of your opinions on them. What does everybody think? What are your favorite models that require minimal or no cards to be effective?
  9. I tried the following list yesterday with great success: Toshiro the Daimyo -Misdirection Punk Zombie Punk Zombie Wastrel There isn't much that can stand up to fast punk zombies in this format...
  10. Is it just me (I'm not looking at the card but I believe it can be equipped to a Leader rather than just a Master) or is Misdirection insanely good in this format? Clumped melee is perfect to take advantage of the upgrade.
  11. I can't seem to find the rules regarding triggers generating triggers. Originally someone told me that in M2E triggers could never generate triggers but now it seems like some triggers specify that they cannot generate attacks and some (Mei Feng's) don't seem to specify that you cannot keep going. Whats going on here??
