  10. The Hodgepodge Emmisary's conflux of conflict upgrade states that for a (0) action you may discard a card to give a friendly leader within 6" "the shirt comes off." ignoring all other restrictions. does this mean that you can attach the maximum upgrades possible to von schill, excluding "the shirt comes off" and then once the game begins use "sir, please keep it on" to give him "the shirt comes off" to put him over and above the max upgrade limit?

  12. I'll take a look at designing some victorian stuff. Unfortunately I'm no longer in school, so I don't have free access to cutters anymore, but I can still make the designs for other people to build. i've just uploaded the cabin, you can find it on my blog http://junkyardsamuraigames.blogspot.com/2016/01/scrap-build-001-frontier-cabin.html
  13. Do you have laser cutter access? What kind of terrain are you looking for? This is the only non sci-fi design I have right now, but I'm pretty sure I can be persuaded to make more if there's interest
  14. for dreamer and collodi, my first idea would be to take the basic idea of the city, and start to warp it to fit the theme of the masters dreamer: start to make the ordinary seem fantastic and warped, change the proportions of things like doors, lamps, windows, buildings, they can vary from super basic changes that seem strange to super warped by varying colors and adding outlandish elements like eyes and limbs and stuff sticking out of walls. The idea of the dreamers dreams affecting reality has a lot of potential, as you can have a piece themed to whatever type of dream you want, and vary the intensity. collodi: a similar idea, start with the basic as a base, but start transforming some buildings and terrain pieces into set pieces like a puppet stage. you could have flat building facades and trees/barrels supported by timber structure on the back, string strung between buildings or wound about lampposts, as well as rolls of it to use as scatter terrain.
  15. I actually used stinkmunk's bases as the inspiration for my oblivion bases... used cork and chain, pics here: http://junkyardsamuraigames.blogspot.com/2015/02/malifaux-herald-of-obliteration-crew.html also did a quick tutorial on how i did the bases, here: http://junkyardsamuraigames.blogspot.com/2015/02/tutorial-floating-bases-with-chains.html with a hobby lobby coupon you can base the whole lot for just over $10.00
  16. Well, Wyrd's offices are in Georgia, coincidence?
  17. Let me start by saying that even though I've had my models and rulebooks since first edition, I'm basically a new player, my meta is whfb &mtg, so I've never really had the chance to actually play. that being said, I finally got some guys interested in doing some demo games this week, and was wondering what sort of recommendations anyone had before they took place? any particular crews to use? advice? game setup? talking points? two of the guys that are interested have only ever played card games, and this will be their first tabletop, any recommendations there? Thank you for your help, hopefully there'll be a few more interested players soon! (in regards to the masters question, I specifically have Justice, Perdita, Sonnia, Rasputina, Seamus, Lilith, Pandora, Von Schill, Viks, and Mei Feng... advice on which of these to use would be great, though if people want to have a discussion about which masters/henchmen are best for demos, that's fine too)
  18. Online sources, none of my flgs really carry many wyrd products, unfortunately
  19. here is a link to the other box cover in question http://www.ebay.com/itm/130926937100?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  20. Ok, that's the more plain one I was talking about. I think the other may be a picture of the rulebook cover, I'm not entirely sure
  21. thank you for your reply, I think I'm a little bit confused, because both boxes are clearly labeled as puppet wars unstitched. the more plain box is not black, it has a wood paneling texture with the logo in the middle, and looking closer at it it has seamus, hooded rider, and what looks like colette on the cover... but both of them saying "unstitched" is what has me a little confused
  22. I'm looking at getting Puppet Wars Unstitched, and have the option of two different boxes, I was wondering if there were any differences between the two the first has all the characters on the box art, including seamus, justice, and pokey vic the second is more plain and just has seamus on the cover. are there any differences between the two? does one have more recent rules? is one a better buy (the seamus only box is $5 more)? Thanks
  23. I have the streets of malifaux and a pack of clips, the set has only been put together once.
  24. I played my first game of 2e with Tara, the other day, and we ran into an issue: does incorporeal ignore any movement penalties for moving vertically (climbing, etc.) or only for moving through terrain? we ruled that it ignores all penalties and allows free movement as normal, but I want to make sure that I'm playing the rule correctly for the future
