  1. Both depends a lot on whatever Limited upgrade you take. Though I believe 4x Marionette for Collodi is a standard. Right?
  2. I started with the Malifaux child a few times during the beta, but I remember that Stolen didn't jealously kill it then. Has it's uses, but often you just want the Stolen instead. I often start with 0 rats, and end up with lots of rats. Not too shabby.
  3. Waylandgames still has some old books in stock. (Located in the UK) I believe there are also some other webshops that carry the items.
  4. At least you have stuff in local stores. Seeing release dates changing on webstores isn't fun.
  5. Clarified Ama, Soul Porter, and Yin are V1 stat cards only. Clarified this in the upward post. Added pics of Stitched and Dreamer.
  6. I would take her as a TT leader, because there are other Oni in the TT. Also, more japanese/chinese theme then Outcasts (for looks)

  9. Izamu is better served with Unnerving aura frankly. I tried it once on the Valedictorian, and I was unimpressed. It did 1 or 2 damage the whole game, and I think if I took it as an SS it would have served me better. It's not a bad upgrade, but it's so single purposed that I won't take it over Unnerving Aura or even transfusion. (Yes, i am one of the odd people who takes Transfusion on a non-sebastan model. Works fine) It's meh. It does it's (simple and uninspiring) job, but don't expect stellar results.

  11. Gupps are great as cheap objective grabbers, in the case you don't want 3x silurids. I could get a lot of milage from the Spawn Mother. Her spawn eggs ability helped me out a lot and would have won me the game if I choose a scheme to support it...
  12. The heads are fit below the necks, so it depends on the magnets you manage to get. But I think if you use 1mm magnets, you might be capable of magnetizing them. Haven't tried it though.
  13. I have 1 without flaming skulls, the other 2 are with flaming skulls
  14. I believe that part is leftover from when the freikorps could ignore aura damage too.. (Or so I've heard) Mostly, you take it for the triggers. Good ca paralyze at range (as you may shoot people who don't have shooty attacks) is very, very useful.
  15. We played it as moderate + weak for a while now. Seems to be the most logical thing to apply.
  16. Some background information then. We play mostly on fridays and play magic, warhammer 40k, Dark Age, and some Helldorado. We also have some HoMachine models, but we don't like the ruleset for that. (Too competive and not enough fun) We know the ins and outs of most systems and are capable of picking up rules quickly. We prefer fun games above competive games and often choose lesser choices available if this makes the game more fun. I for myself like summoning and Shenanigans. I like undead and demons. I'm looking at the Dreamer as a master (not out yet) with some Terror Tots so I can mature them into big guys I also am looking at Leveticus, but general cohensus seems that he's currently too powerful. At last, I also have a dreaded hate of named characters. For the masters I can't seem to avoid this, but I can and WILL avoid this for the rest of my crew.

  18. Hi all, I'm interested in starting Malifaux. However, my playgroup likes to try games out before commiting to them (As it should be) and with M2E looming around the horizon, I want to know what the best place is to start the game and how to playtest the game (no Hechmen in the area I am in, so that rules that option out) So, should I get the Beta rules and some beta crews in order to start the game or should I use the old quickstart rules. Also, do the old crew compositon (boxes) still apply in M2E? Thanks, PreatorDragoon
