  1. if it targets something, it needs LoS.
  2. He seems like a good fit in Lucas lists with Lucas himself able to give out slow along with his use of minions as well as being a crew that can run schemes pretty easy now can do it a lil easier. He also has the potential to get more use from guild guard and executioners but that requires some forethought. Of course he goes well with the emissary too, but that's half a list for 2 models...
  3. I personally think that Envy was tailor made for Neverborn. Copying him with a changeling or a doppelganger alone is worth price of admission. I've only run him in a Lucius list so far though, but I liked the results. The flip helps the changelings and dops, but even more so is that his moderate dmg is 4. You can get your 4 point changelings wrecking low def model, or potentially harassing higher cost models, out of activation even. I had Envy, two changelings and a dop in a crew and with a lil bit of help you can potentially get off 11 2/4/5 shots with and 1 with dmg from Envy's free focus. Lucius was good for positioning in the crew I used. I went up against a Collodi crew that was using him as well. I imagine he'd be pretty nice in a Zoraida crew as well. I haven't tried any of the other models presented, but I've thought about it. I'm also interested to know how it might work.
  4. I had Papa, Emissary, death marshal, emissary, frank, governor's proxy, Grimwell. I used Grimwell to push on turn 1. Granted with upgrades and such, I only had 2 SS, but there was a little wiggle room if I had chosen different upgrades. I got 4 points off the strat and got assassinate off, but couldn't get any points for the other scheme but that was cause there was 4 models on the table between both of us at the end of the game and I was going against a pretty gross Collodi list and, admittedly, I made a few mistakes. I never felt like i was MISSING anything though and my opponent had pretty good flips, which can always ruin a good strategy/crew. If you have the interest, try keeping the Nephalim in the list and running Emissary, boxing Francisco and using Frank's Enfrentate a Mi, Sh or Ml attacks from the Emissary... he makes an amazing shelter for Frank and also puts him into combat with both AP for a Flurry using the 7" EaM place/unbox/chain. I find you can get a whole lot of aggression going with Perdita, Emissary and Frank pushing into the enemy crew without taking a lot of hits on the way in. Let me know what you think! That could be interesting. I really think the Brutal Emissary is just awesome in general and love trying to think of new ways to use it.
  5. I ran the emissary today just for kicks. I liked it. Although I didn't use obey a LOT, it was nice to have just for the fact that I didn't have to worry about a suit when i wanted to do it. It's not like the emissary SUCKS. It's a pretty good model without an upgrade. I used it to obey Envy and fired it at a collodi that was out of range. I then used it later to have that Envy kill my governor's proxy and forced it to die. (it was my opponent's highest cost model) I didn't really MISS the enslaved nephilim, but I also had other ways of pushing. I might want to try it some more, but I think with the right crew it can be used pretty effectively. It might not be super competitive, but I don't think it's useless either
  6. Oh, it's just obey? i clearly haven't read it in a while.
  7. Don't forget, the obey isn't the only thing that benefits. It also bakes in the mask for witched bullet, giving her a to dmg if you're more interested in killing. Give someone Diestro and put their fat model at vs. SH 7 and dmg and Perdita gets even more gross. It also bakes in her DF trigger. As far as obey goes, if you're willing to not take the enslaved Nephilim, you could bring governors proxy and obey something to kill it, then fail the wp duel and trade 3 SS for double, triple or possibly quadruple the SS. Plus, he's a spot healer before he goes. i see some potential, I just think it requires a tweak in play style.
  8. I always wanted to try Tannen, Pride and Emissary with Lucius just to see how rage inducing that might be, but it's a lot of SS for no minion models and almost no real dmg aside from maybe Lucius. But, man, I'd be pissed just seeing it. Also, the mounted guard is a very good piece for Lucius. Lucius can move him, Queeg can have him take his 0 out of activation. Push him and a beater up and get into position. Charge whatever you need to. The guard has respectable dmg. Then a trigger can get the beater to chain activate and both have to DF if you can't get the trigger off. Plus they are fast even without towing fatties if you need to do some scheme running .
  9. Oh, I understand. I've never had much luck with Wardens and I've only heard good things about them. but... What are you fighting that your minions are dying like that o.O? i know Lucius thinks every pawn can be sacrificed, but sometimes you just got to keep them away! Also, a witchling stalker is also good to have around in case you get some bad luck with the WP duels. Not to mention stalkers are just great anyway. also, don't sleep on the Orderly for Lucius. Since you don't pay the merc tax, they make decent scheme runners (wk 6) and tar pits (2AP heal and regen)/scheme runner killers. Plus they have card draw if they DO kill something and can use the 2AP action to heal others as well
  10. Hit fees on a beater, and even if they are kicking your butt, they are taking dmg. Give your models Hard to Wound, even tank with them a bit with their high DF and possible against them. Not to mention finish the job and even the chance to slow or paralyze. They can just do anything you need them to do.
  11. Changelings near a long range target benefit from having around something with a lure. I used a performer, but have considered a beckoner. You could also use Kade if you really wanted to cut someone up bad. However, I had found some pretty good success using Envy from the crossroads seven. Moderate damage of 4 with a built in to the attack is pretty nasty. Not to mention Envy hands out focus and if you have a dop, that's something great for them to copy. Plus, with all the scheme running Lucius does, Envy's accuracy should be pretty solid. I also love lawyers with Lucius. Lawyers are just GOOD in general, but even in death they serve the guild! (or Neverborn) but especially with to wp duels, they have even more synergy. I find I haven't really used the gun line too much though. I also really like Master Queeg. He can run most schemes by himself or with a friend (like a guild sergeant)
  12. I'd be willing to take that chance. Even one permanent PL target could be worth it potentially.
  13. Interesting. That's how I saw it too. Thanks. I think 3 SS might be worth a permanent power loop on 2 models.
  14. if the Malifaux child uses Just Like You! to copy Hoffman's Redirect Power to power loop models into the circuit and the Malifaux Child dies, when does the Power Loop effect end on the models given it end? Power Loop says it lasts until the start of the casting model's next activation, but says nothing about ending the condition otherwise. So, if the Malifaux child dies, do those models have Power Loop for the rest of the game or until removed otherwise?
  15. Oh man, yeah, I have to be REALLY careful with activation order. I tend to keep Ulix stationary and don't hire piglets up front. (But I like that idea) i keep my group huddled around a pigapult. (My initial thought was I was going to be a main dmg source) but I have noticed I use it more for distributing summoned piglets anywhere they are needed. i use old major and trixiebelle to put the summoned warpigs in charging range with the suit I want and keep models away from my farm. I bring Merris for blast protection (since I'm grouped) initial scheme placement for warpig summoning and general late game scheme running. I find Merris to be an amazing model in general old cranky helps with extra wp and df flips in my clump and card draw (which Ulix is SUPER card intensive) and IF pigapult kills something, I get a free stone out of it. and naturally a slop hauler
  16. When I run Ulix, I summon a warpig +1-2 piglets a turn. My opponents spend most of the game fighting stuff I never even paid for and cursing my unkillable piglets. The game scores are usually LOW, but with corn husks and piglets, I'm pretty good at denying schemes. Ulix never moves, but that's ok. People really can't get to him because they are more concerned with my 1 warpig a turn. In the first game I played with him, I turned Misaki into a glorified scheme runner. I had another player spend a whole game with Hannah just burying my warpigs and even mauled ironsides pretty good, though Merris helped with that. I personally haven't tried the pigball yet, but I get angry, angry looks with the farm set up. One of the best things I've found is that most of Old Major's stuff is either limitless range or LoS so I keep him in the back and just use him for birthin (gross) Since he has such high wounds. And if anyone gets close, he's not above getting in there and doing some damage himself.
  17. From what I remember the Scales of Justice is just a dude. Like, one of many who get a special spot nailed up and drug along with the Lady. There's also pets, (Luna and Penelope) and, of course, butlers! (/servants)
  18. Just used Executioner with McCabe in a tournament round and he was the star of the show. Giving him nimble and armor takes away a lot of the deficiencies he has without having to up his cost at all. I was also able to have trail of gore go off 2 or 3 times in my match. I'd charge something and if I didn't kill it that turn, I was trail of goring to finish it off next turn then charging or nimble +charging to the next target. it worked out pretty great.

I've had fun with Lady Justice and the Student of Conflict. Nothing like having her being in someone's backfield on turn 1 or 2 because she can charge something, kill it and charge again.
