  1. Thank you @solkan! Really appreciate the writeup. A link to that list could be on the first post, not back here in Page 5 (mod to update? ; ) Awesome Are there any stories that mark key events in the timeline? These might just be personal preference or recollection. I've heard that the Governor might have changed at some point, all the stuff in Dead Man's Hand is explained somewhere, etc. I might go back through this thread to see when people comment to find the best ones! (I'm still days of hours of listening behind - what an awesome podcast!)
  2. In this listing or elsewhere, is there a grouping of story lines? I've just started recently, and am really enjoying. Mainly, I'm wondering when I can skip or when I might miss something. Since I'm 3+ years behind, I want to listen to the main story archs, but a lot of one-off short stories seemed mixed in. I see the episode notes, but don't know if they are continuing anything or just a one-off. Episodes 1-7 are a story line (Rasputina, Seamus, Crid, Viktoria, Kaevara etc) 8-21a are "The Event" (Perdita, Hamlin, Ramos, Collette, Justice, Karai, Nicoderm, McMorning, Lucious, Gremlins, etc) 21b-22 are Avatar shorts 23 is Post Event 24 is a Horror short story (The Dreamer hosting) Thoughts?
  3. This is my approach as well. < 20 seconds for entire crew explanation "This my Master, they are a beatstick, enables crew like X. This is the scheme runner. This guy buff models. Totem's neat trick is Y." Done. During a game: "Do you have any Def tech/triggers?" "Does that model hit hard?" "How did you make that just happen?" And then I deal with whatever comes up because I have not played against every model and Bad Things Happen (tm). If I wanted to become hard core, I would literally have to study card (this new App sounds great!) . . . but suspect I'll stay happy just getting games in when I can, and laughing when something wild happens. One more thought: Knowing your crew goes a long way in adapting mid-game, more than preparing for, or knowing about, everything that can come your way. Kind of a "get fooled once, shame on them, get fooled twice, shame on me" thing. If your plan is going downhill, don't double-down on what's not working, and do not throw in the towel - assess your models and the new information you learned (the hard way) and keep playing!
  4. I'm happy to see this Alternative Ototo model (the most needed re-sculpt ever?!!) https://giveusyourmoneypleasethankyou-wyrd.com/collections/10-thunders/products/alt-ototo Are these alternative models "for a limited time" or "until stock runs out"? Determining if I should buy now or later, wondered what the rumors or official statements were.
  5. That's a good catch. 3 actions sound like 3 different resolutions (8 -> 4, 4 -> 1 from HtH, 1 -> Dead). But to @Cursed25's point, even to Last Breath twice at full health (or even 6 health), and then with Shenlong's Fast take a Balanced Sword attack at , and not die from Hard to Kill is good stuff. I'm really liking The Lone Swordman with Shenlong. I gotta try it in action (along with practicing a Shenlong solitare first-turn! : )
  6. Oh, I see! I was picturing using "Last Breath" then two Balanced Sword attacks. A to each of those 3 attacks. 1 SS or 4 damage at end. If I took 3 Last Breath actions, that is indeed +, ++, +++, with an end of activation result of 3SS or 12 damage! I read it that way too. Maybe a loophole, but does not say "once per activation" like many other actions. Very high risk-reward. One LastBreath is an enhancer and you may live, 3 Last Breaths is definitely "All In". Extremely awesome
  7. Could you explain how this works? Reading Last Breath only sounds like a + on those 2-3 actions.
  8. If you have a 1" round punch (found at most craft stores), turning your old 2E upgrade cards into faction tokens is pretty easy. Put them on a base, washer or acrylic. Just an idea if you'd like it.
  9. This is a post from Bartertown, but I wanted to copy here. If you have set of Lucas McCabe and are looking for Lilith trade, crew for crew, let's talk. I have some models to trade and am looking for some Malifaux. Let me see your trade list! Also willing to sell, make an offer (45-50% is a good place to start). If we trade we'll each pay own shipping with tracking number. If you buy, shipping will be $4-$5 in US for small deals, and we'll talk if you want a lot. Have: All models are metal (M1E) and NIB with M1E cards. Neverborn Terror Tots Blister (x3 in blister) Neverborn Large Nephilim Neverborn Large Nephilim (there are two, so I listed twice) Neverborn Sorrows (x3 in blister) Neverborn Bad Juju Neverbord Slurids (x3 in blister) Guild Death Marshals with their awesome coffins (x3 in blister) Also, I have the 3 pack of Guild Latigo Pistoleros and Guild Riflemen, and do not plan to use all 3 in the same game. One from each of those blisters would be up for trade as well. 1 Guild Latigo Pistolero 1 Guild Rifleman (this is the new plastics) Want: Arcanist Joss Arcanist Ramos stuff (box set or pieces of box set, including Ramos) Arcanist Rider (Mechanical) Arcanist Colette Avatar Arcanist Kaeris Avatar Arcanist Dec Acolyte Arcanist Oxfordian (gun)mages Guild Lucas McCabe stuff (box or choice models) Guild Pale Rider Guild Perdita Avatar Guild Lucis Avatar Neverborn Mr. Graves (Ten Thunders) Neverborn Barbaros Neverborn Beckoner Thanks, Clay
  10. The old model, or the new one? For a faction that has a large amount of shooting models, Francisco is a stand-out melee model. He can wreck a lot of things, especially with a good hand, and Finesse keeps him quite safe while in melee. A go-to bulwark again melee-oriented builds. Slightly squishy outside of melee (basically average stats), so getting there is his biggest drawback . . . plus he kills most anything he touches, so is outside melee even more!
  11. You must be thinking of those lazy poachers . . . the good ones can use a hammer
  12. So no love for the "killing Bad Juju triggers all effects, including his own 'bury himself' effect"? I can really see it either way, but wanted to check. Great ability for that Strategy, I'd say (or just all the time, really ;-) )
  13. This concerns killing Bad Juju and his Eternal upgrade. Based of the beta wording, unsure if it changed. The upgrade reads, "If Bad Juju is killed, then bury him, heal him, blah blah blah." What came up was a Reckoning Strategy ("if two models are killed in the same turn") and/or the Executioner's Loves His Job ability ("when this models kills a model"). Would killing Bad Juju trigger those rulings? I'd like to think it does. juju's upgrades states "when he is killed" comma, "then, ..." So it might seem like him being killed was accomplished, allowing his personal trigger to take effect. Along with other effects. Said another way, killing him is the global trigger and anything caused by "killing a model" takes effect, including his own ability to heal, bury, etc. Thoughts?
  14. Ah yes, that makes sense. Trying to Pine Box something else is a solid work around. @MrQ, the cheated flip is a good tactic too. No idea if I'd want to use this tactic, but good to know it would be possible :-)
