  5. It's time for yet another round of demo games. Malifaux in Linköping has been the last year so I'm doing a few rounds of demo games and then continuing on with a henchman hardcore tournament and/or a League i April. More info on that later! Where? - Kårhus Örat, Campus US (just outside entrance 65) When? - Sunday 20 of March, from 1pm to approx 5 pm. What? - Everything from casual pick-up games (I will be bringing game mats and terrain) to demo games with me. If you don't have any models yet, don't worry! I've got all you need. Questions? - Contact me here on the forum or through facebook, search for the group called "Malifaux Linköping/Norrköping"
  6. I've got two versions of Miss Step for this reason. The first one was just a regular one, but I wanted a specialized one to go with Colette. So I bought another Miss Step and exchanged the human part of her body with parts from a Rotten Belle (with greenstuff to fill in the wounds). She's still got the gigantic claw, but in the other hand she holds an umbrella. It's not perfect, as she tilts her head just a bit too much and her facial expression is a bit off, but from a distance it's fine!
  7. After taking a short hiatus from my Henching duties it's time to get back up on the Malifaux horse! When and where: Next sunday, March 6th, from 1 pm to approx 5 pm on campus US (Kårhus Örat, just outside entrance 65). What: Malifaux demo and open gaming. This is meant as a startup for semi-regular gaming events that will lead up to the tournament at Lincon in May. If you have any questions, message me or check out the "Malifaux Linköping/Norrköping" facebook group.
  8. Is it just me or are they not showing up on the page? Chronicles and Malifaux books are showing up, but if I sort by TTB it says "2 items" yet nothing is showing up. I'm on my phone and tried both safari and chrome. Edit: when searching for TTB I tried to click one of the books and got an error message saying this item is not available.
  9. I might have them, could check if you don't find another seller.
  10. Tuesday next week I, together with associates both from my tabletop gaming club and the student association for medical students (Medicinska Föreningen) will be hosting a board game night for Medical Students. We are marketing towards the medical students, because they are approximately a thousand or so of them here, but everyone is welcome! I will be there with my Malifaux, ready to give a demo game to anyone wanting! The following information will be in Swedish, if you want more information in English please don't be afraid to ask!
  11. I helped a friend of mine with the same thing. I took the wendigo and the extra ice block that came in the box (from the golem I believe), repositioned that ice block (tilted a bit forward and to the side) and attached the wendigo to it, so it looks like it is doing a parkour jump over the side. Then I used greenstuff to sculpt the missing hand and foot. As a thanks he gave me the victim to use as a guild guard. Tried to get a good picture of the hand/feet, so the rest of the model is a bit blurry.

  14. There are a multitude of reasons, you will find out more and more as you play. Getting within range for melee or ranged attacks, out from combat, into range with scheme markers, giving out free moves etc. This game is a lot about managing resources, where your models AP (action points) are the main resource. A push could be a free move, letting that model have, in effect, an extra AP his next turn. It's also a way to move models outside of the normal restrictions, like severe terrain or out of combat (without risking a disengaging strike).
  15. The plastic bamboo is a pain to clean mold lines off, but the paint stuck easily after a thin coat of GW primer.
  16. I've also got a box of the wrongly scaled viks and got replacements for the models that were out of scale. I believe it was the three ronin and one of the viks. The rest are fine. But this is an old matter, it was the first batch that came along with the Gencon preorder, 2 gencons ago. All the newer boxes are corrected.
  17. I bought two packs of the plastic bamboo mentioned in this thread http://wyrd-games.net/community/topic/97476-misaki-the-house-of-the-flying-thunders/ For my kirai crew. They come in different sizes, so I bought the mixed bag and the bag with the big ones. Only the big ones have a metal rod inside, so they can be bent.
  18. I don't there's been much said about this, other than the rumor about the mold. It might also be that Wyrd are busy with the new releases and hasn't had the time to do second runs on the earlier waves. Production can only do so much at the same time... They will be printed anew, but when is uncertain...
  19. I find premeasuring also evens out the player field between beginners and veterans, especially if both are new to malifaux but one has played many other games and therefore has a good eye for distances. It's similar to when warhammer used to have a guess range for lobbing war machines. I'm pretty good at guessing distances (often within 0,5 inches) even though we use cm's in my country. That means in my hands, the war machine was often twice as effective compared to some of my opponents. I felt it was unfair when they removed the guess work, since I had worked on that skill, but I realized after the change how much more fair the new game mechanic felt. I felt the same when I first used the pre-measure in malifaux. It makes for a tighter game (in terms of tactical movements) and a more fun one.
  20. I've seen then gremlin being called different things on different places. Isn't he just an LE sculpt bayou gremlin? If that's the case, your post might be a bit misleading.
  21. A completely different idea: What if it's the photo? The base is in focus, so his face (a natural focus point for looking at photos) is a bit blurry. The center of the model/picture is right behind his arm, which is covered by a shadow. His arm is the part that is best lit up and is not that blurry, which might be why it draws your eyes.
  22. Generally I like the format the chronicles have been doing with 2-3 stories, tactica, painting article, artwork teasers and stuff like that. Even though I don't play TtB I like that you've included some freebies for that game, it makes me want to try it out. Scenarios for malifaux as well. Please continue with freebies, regardless of which game it is for! My only gripe is that it's so short. Side note: my favorite part of the stories are that they're not all about existing characters or blatant foreshadowing of upcoming models. It makes the world of malifaux a rich world and you get the feeling anyone there could be a character from the games.
  23. The bulk of this post will be in Swedish, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! Saturday the 27th of December, from 1 pm until late, a gaming club called Hugin och Munin Spel will be organizing a gaming day just outside of Stockholm, Sweden. Myself and the local henchman (Wiking), both active in the club, will be joining in and bringing some of the Malifaux goodness to the games! I'm in charge of a small tournament, starting 2 pm, while Wiking will be hosting a hobby night (hobby day?) during the length of the event.
  24. They won't be selling any of the crew boxes minis separately except for the 3-pack minions that most boxes have. See Sonnia and witchling stalkers or Lady J and death marshals. Ashigaru fit that role.
  25. I'm a hobbyist first and a gamer second, so I mostly do thematic crews that I find esthetically appealing. Also, I like not knowing exactly what I'm getting so this might be a little long.. I've got a Colette crew with all her thematic models so far (including oiran), the same going for the Viks and Hamelin. Hamelin is missing a few models, which I'm getting with my Black Friday order. I've recently bought a full kirai crew on the cheap and I've had Seamus wip for a while. So I guess my main factions are arcanists and outcasts, but with a dabble of resser and I'm looking to get brewie when he comes. Got a golem ready for when he does. I've also got a few Perdita models for doing intro games as a henchman. So I'm mostly interested in finishing up the projects I've got and then expanding of either arcanists or outcasts. I've been eyeing the constructs for arcanists since I already have miss step and 3 arachnids. I guess a few neverborn models for showcasing the different sides of malifaux during a henchman intro could be a nice idea. Generally I'm not that fond of metal, I prefer plastic. I like to convert, so lonely models or split boxes is no problem for me. I love bitz. I'm actually looking to get a plastic baby Cade or Candy for Hamelin, which is proving to be a bit difficult.
