  1. Datsue Ba is in almost all my lists with Kirai. Anna Lovelace is incredible against Ten Thunders. Summoning The Hanged models are incredible and irritate your opponent to no end. I've played with Goryo a few times, and each time they pay off for summoning them. Izamu is nice to swirl him into models or for placement. Yin-believe it or not, is a very useful model to lock down certain models with, especially since Kirai can shoot into combat without randomizing. Belles....just can't go wrong, even after their "cuddle", they're still incredible. Crooligans have become my favorite scheme runners. And they give -1 to wp for Datsue and Ikiryo
  2. Its a very dirty list. Esecially if it can rally an Izamu and have him taken downin one round by 3 models.
  3. It'll work if you use Yan Lo as a caster....no chi in path of bone, definitely go for rigor mortis. Would want at least two ancestors and max of 3 to up that damage to 5/6/7 if lucky. Yin would be an auto include for one of the ancestors....hasn't been a game where I didn't have fun with The Hanged and Yin to make things terrified to run, but only to get stopped by wicked. And if Izamu there, that model will be scared to death.
  4. I'd try a non tournament game with Toshiro/Izamu/ Datsue just to see how that goes. But getting that high crow card and actually being able to keep it for Toshiro is way too difficult. Could build up 4 tokens with just Izamu and two activations, would only be able to get one Pz or Ashigaru out......but the chance of having two high crows in your hand for it is way too low to be a reliable strategy.
  5. He gains conflict tokens and plus to attack flips with just undead yes.....but if he's being used as a utility piece to give undead/spirits extra walks, then he's just fine. I personally wouldn't take Toshiro and Datsue together, but if he's looking for shennanagans for line in the sand, then that might be it.
  6. I would drop Chiaki, she just never performs well to be worth her points. Especially for line in the sand. And only 4 stones for Yan Lo is just flat out brutal. I'd drop Chiaki, Onryo, and the night terrors for Datsue-Ba and 2 desperate mercs, and 2-3 dogs. Move the mercs one walk...turn them into onryo or the other thing and give them a free walk.
  7. Izamu has been brilliant as usual. Yin is phenomenal, especially if you run The Hanged with her. So far that's my favorite pairing. Toshiro has been neat, but not as fun as the others.
  8. Datsue-Ba has always been that odd model for me. Either she gets taken out fast, or left alone the entire game. Whats worked well for me with her is keeping her slightly behind a bit in battles and jumping on wounded enemies. Especially if they're living, have low wp, and/or have armor.
  9. Its all about how people play the game. Nicodem does break the game with Rafkin if you can't get rid of his corpse counters early. No one likes seeing 6+ flesh constructs in two turns to put them up 56+ stones in a35 stone game. Just like Pandora can break the game rather easily with stitched together and Collodi. Seamus just gets left in the....dirt....compared to other rez masters.
  10. Yes it is, its called Izamu. Just watch out for the Viktorias. They'll make short work of a spirited Strongarm.

  12. An all rezer family would be just ancestors. Would only really be for poops and giggles considering you only really need two ancestors to max the certain playstyle you're going for. I wouldn't take Toshiro with Molly in any game though....Molly wants high crows, Toshiro wants them, and Yan Lo sort of wants them. That fight for crows is terrible to play with. And with Molly, you're going to want to run 7 id not 8 stones.
  13. Molly's Terrible Secrets spell. It was Yan Lo, Molly, Datsue-ba, Izamu, and 2 desperate mercs transformed into Onryo.
  14. I know right Jewomie! Her handing out -2 to df and attack flips destroy people. That and actually getting off her twisted mind trigger on a few models helped Yan Lo fragile bonds to them. Summoning Sybelle from the corpse of Collette and a showgirl was pretty nice too.
  15. I took Izamu and Molly with Yan Lo against my last Collette game...Molly helps Izamu destroy anything to everything. Actually heard complaints about Molly that she was too good for once.
  16. The amount of damage dealt I'm not worried about, just as long as damage is dealt for conflict tokens. With all the flipping, would probably cycle through the deck. It'll worsen defense n all, but dogs drop fast anyway and when the zombies die, 2 tokens for Toshiro to summon them. Have the gravespirit attached to him so he survives a round or two. If he dies, I can just summon him back. But would need to regain the tokens.
  17. I don't have Niko, so I've been strictly playing Yan Lo lately. So corpse counters aren't a worry of mine. And you're right, but I like those zombies cb of 7 and flipping 3 instead of 2 for the attack. Its a much higher percentage of striking for the tokens. The two punk zombies with flurry=6 attacks cb 7, the 5 other dogs would =10, but at cb 4 and only two flips on the attack.
  18. Yeah, Misaki and Mei Feng is a hard counter to Yin...when I see someone pulling them out, I swap Yin for Izamu.
  19. If you're going straight for conflict tokens, sack Izamu for two punk zombies. That's 3 tokens with Izamu, 6 with 2 punk zombies(8 if close enough to flurry). My list for Toshiro will be Toshiro, 4 canine remains, 3 punk zombies, and gravespirit.
  20. That's exactly how I feel about her Gruesome. I do still have to do a "Keep it in the Family" list though.....Yin, Toshiro, Izamu, Chiaki, and soul porter with Yan Lo. Worst comes to worse, his Spirit Barrage damage will be at 5/7/9 with an explosion.
  21. Chiaki doesnt double chi from one model dying. I've played quite a few games with Chiaki. She is a very poor support piece. With or without harmless, she gets slaughtered. And no reason to keep her separated from the battle to collect chi because its not difficult keeping Yan Lo by it all. And no reason to move her more than 8" so he can absorb her.
  22. I ran her with The Hanged and Yan Lo against Nico and Izamu. I killed a rallying Izamu plus a punk zombie with two Spirit Barrage strikes (Yin card under Yan Lo, so first was the wicked strike). Then took out Nico with the other AP ands casting expert. I think Yin is great against the undead, just not against punk zombies.
  23. True, Yin doesn't have to. But if I'm facing more undead stuff, why throw away a 10+crow on an off chance for scaring away the dead? I'd rather save that for summoning and not waste one of her actions trying to flip it from the deck.
  24. My only problem with it though is that Yin hands out Anathema only during the turn on too high of a crow. Seamus needs a 10+ crow and Molly 9+ crow for summoning. Theres too much fighting for those high crow cards. If it were for the entire encounter, or lower cast, or even unsuited, I think it'd be amazing.
