  1. I'm interested. I might be able to bring some Canterbury or Thanet folk, as it's only a 90min drive for us.
  2. Appears to be a 3 round fixed master 40ss tournament using gain grounds, but I can't see whether ranked or unranked. First round at midday on Sunday, meaning a 7pm finish. Tickets look to be £7.50 or a tenner including lunch.
  3. Luke, this tweet from Ben suggests your just 90mins too early! https://twitter.com/jondoe297b/status/472385027154927616
  4. Cheers Ben. Plenty of opportunities for tom-foolery at MCC though :-)
  5. Unfortunately I have a "clan" commitment this day now, so I'll not be able to make it. Sorry Ben, sorry Oz!
  6. I was very interested, but was distracted on Saturday. Glad I didn't book a hotel in advance of getting a ticket! :'( As none of the Canterbury Crusaders managed to get tickets, we are discussing the possibility of a smaller "UKGT Refugees" event on the same weekend Likely to be a ranked one-day event along the lines of 45SS, 4 games, fixed faction. Would those who missed out on the UKGT tickets be interested in attending an alternative event that same weekend in Canterbury? If so, I'll start a separate thread.
  7. You can put me on your list. That's the only reason I come to these things... It's certainly not to come third from bottom and take "best" Outcast.
  8. Leveticus, Pandora and Zoriada (Gremlins) please. [EDIT: flipped Granny to Gremlins, because why not?]
  9. Okay, so our assumption, based on the "General Timing" pop-out box, is that Triggers happen first, followed by Abilities (in the order specified), followed by anything else that isn't a Trigger or an Ability, which would include Schemes, terrain traits, and anything else. Works for me. I wouldn't mind an FAQ clarification for this, as it's based on something being absence from the General Timing rules, rather than an explicit ruling. Cheers guys!
  10. Having read this thread, and the Juju thread, and the "General Timing" box on p51 of the Rules Manual, I'm still left with some questions about how the Assassinate scheme interacts with Pariah's Soul. Apologies if I have missed another thread on this, but I couldn't find one using search. If my opponent is playing Leveticus, and I take the Assassinate scheme, are any of the following true: It is turn 2. It is my opponent's activation. My opponent uses Leve's ability (0) Sanguine Evocations, which says "sacrifice this model". Do I score for Assassinate, as the enemy Leader has been sacrificed? It is turn 2. It is my activation. I shoot Leveticus and remove his last wound. Do I score for Assassinate? It is the end of the game. Having used (0) Sanguine Evocations to bury himself in turn 5, I succeed in killing his last anchor, and Leve cannot use Eternal Shackles to unbury. Do I score for Assassinate? My proposed answers, based on my interpretations of the written rules: No. As the "Acting Model" (p51), and the active player, Leveticus can resolve the Pariah's Soul ability before I can resolve the text of the Assassinate scheme. I do not need to reveal Assassinate, and can continue to attempt to kill Leveticus in later turns. Yes. As the "Acting Model", and the active player, I can reveal and resolve Assassinate before the "Defending Model" (Leve) can resolve the the Pariah's Soul ability. As it is turn 2, I score the full 3 VP. Yes. Because p54 of the Rules Manual says: "models that are buried at the end of the game count as killed for Encounter victory purposes. I score 2 VP, as I am revealing the scheme after turn 4. All of the the above makes the assumption that the text on my "Assassinate card" (which doesn't physically exist) follows exactly the same timing rules as "Abilities" on models cards do, and doesn't exist in some out-of-activation super-timing-state that trumps this other timing rule. Does this sound right? Thanks, Mike
  11. Awesome! Thanks for the rulea pack Joe. I'm bringing one 3x3 and enough terrain for 2 and a bit tables.
  12. I have only assembled the new Ramos box and Vanessa in plastic, but I can't say I enjoyed either experience. Maybe I just love drilling tiny holes through miniature high heel boots, but I just adore the metal models (both in quality and aesthetics) so much that I'm picking up all of the old metal models that I can before I don't have the option anymore.
  13. Wow! What's the model you used for Lady Ligeia? You really captured the Edgar Allen Poe tones.
  14. For directions, the venue is called "Spring Lane Neighbourhood Centre", although the entrance is actually on Sussex Ave (!?): Spring Lane Neighbourhood Centre entrance, CT1 1RT (Google Maps) If you're coming by train, the venue is a 30min walk from either Canterbury West or Canterbury East, (no difference), but should only cost you £5 if you go by taxi.
  15. Yum! Look at all that swag! Paid. Jake, can you say yet how the fixed part of the crews will work?
  16. Tomorrow (Friday) evening? What time are they open until?
  17. Yes please! Rory, what were the final results? Thanks for a great weekend!
  18. Seconded. I was also there at Smogcon and the 20min limit imposed a 120db level of hysteria, as if you stopped to "think" about a single move, you wouldn't finish! Of course, finishing each round didn't really matter, but that's not the point! Hilarious format, would play again in a second.
  19. I guessing you're likely to be arriving later on. Any idea what time you'll be at the pub? just so I don't spend my whole evening playing Calculation solitaire
  20. Hello, Please could the M2E Crew Creator (http://www.malifaux.com/M2eCrew.php) be altered to support 100 SS crews? Lots of UK tournaments are running with 100 SS pools, and currently the crew creator supports a maximum of 99 SS. Thanks!
  21. Looks good to me. I look forward to proper 'Fanet levels of swag...
