  1. I will be hosting my next Tournament, Behold My Glory, on May 13th, 2017 at Astral Games of Medford OR! I'm intending this tourney to be a "practice" tourney for those intending to do Califaux 2017 the following month. I will be mimicking Crissy's usual Qualifier Strat choices as best I can guess them. Hopefully with the location in Southern Oregon, I can interest players from the Portland area and the Sacramento/Bay Area to meet at my humble LGS for a practice throw-down. I'll make it worth your while with lots of prizes and loot that everyone has a chance at claiming in the end! Come on up/down, and see how you measure up before Califaux! Be wary, I'll only be accepting the first 16 players in our medium-sized space, so be sure to contact me (either through PM here or on FB in our Community Page) to preregister ASAP! For more information, visit us at my store's Malifaux Community Page, or find more information on the tournament page here!
  2. Second Session will be Saturday, March 11th at noon. We will be in the back TRPG rooms again! I have decided against posting updates on how each Act goes here. I don't want to post any spoilers for anyone in different communities. But if you're in the area, you are more than welcome to join us! We'll catch you up then when we start Act II!
  3. 100%, totally! Drop-ins very much welcome. I'm about to put up some notes on our first session (no spoilers though). Should be meeting next on March 4th! Also, have you visited our local Facebook group here for other event updates?
  4. Got one of their dedicated Tabletop RPG rooms for tomorrow! Afterward, depending on how early we finish, might fit some M2E afterward if anyone is interested!
  5. I haven't found a need for 20 S bills yet, but maybe because I'm a stingy FM :-P I'll look into it next time I open the files. Who would be a good 20 S Master though? Maybe when I do the 20 S bills, I'll look into a Front/Back format. It'd be a little hard to guarantee perfect line-up, but that might be the printer's problem. I'll let you guys and gals know!
  6. I will be hosting the A Stitch in Time Worldwide Event at Astral Games of Medford, OR. First Session will be Saturday, Feb 18th at noon (hopefully in one of their TRPG rooms, still arranging things)! Stay tuned to this thread for session updates and planned dates of following Acts!
  7. Updated, including a new section, "Worldwide Events," which includes Divergent Paths. Still pondering on a solution for the "printer-friendly" list that doesn't require me to update two locations with each update. Will let you know if anything develops!
  8. Can someone confirm that the Limited Edition versions of recently Errata-ed cards are indeed updated to 2017 rules? All other normal prints are clearly labeled as updated, but the below are not: Nightmare Tara Nightmare The Nothing Beast Black Friday Francisco Ortega Miss Terious Mr. Cooper Hanged Nathan Hanged Eric
  9. What I want to see... Remember Thrace? What happened to her in TOS?
  10. There's been talk and rumbles before about transcribing all this in a different format. A PDF, Google Doc, Dropbox? Part of my original decisions on small-font and EXTREMELY brief synopses have been to remain as a reference and an index similar to my original TtB Index; not an unabridged encyclopedia that could actual run each scenario (which feels a little copyright infringe-y if I'm not too careful), but a starting point for casual players and Story-Encounter-Tournament-Organizers alike to find a new scenario. Is there enough demand for such an update though? If this list is too unwieldy now as a Spoiler-filled Forum post, I can change; I just need to know there's a demand for it before I commit to the man hours to pull it off (or maybe I'll take up @LordZombie on some help...). Thoughts?
  11. Sorry, I'm not sure how that text reverted to black like that. Should be fixed now! Also, I finally included Ripples of Fate and most recent Chronicles. Let me know what else I can improve!
  12. After a lengthy hiatus (my regular players were still meeting weekly, but we were closed-door for beta tests and not public TtB games), we will me running some public sessions again! We recently started with a new gambit of Fated GREMLIN Characters, and are on Act II of The Bayou Games (Act I was recently completed at Extra Life). Everyone is welcome to join us, hope to see you there! Next session will be Wednesday, Nov. 30th, around 3:30pm at NiteWolf Games of Yreka, CA!
  13. I haven't heard of anyone taking that challenge on yet. Do you mean like a complete, uninterrupted .pdf list? I can try and tackle that at some point, maybe when (I assume) GG 2017 hits? Also, I am aware I haven't done Ripples of Fate, Divergent Paths, or the most recent Chronicles Story Encounters yet. They're on my docket; I haven't forgotten about this thread nor the TtB Index.
  14. Hey all, For those who don't know, I'm a high school teacher, and one of the clubs I manage is the school's gaming club. Our yearly "big event" is Extra Life, a 25 hour gaming marathon where donors sponsor me, my students, and close friends/family to play and raise money for Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals. This will be the FOURTH YEAR we've put this shindig on, averaging over $2,000 each year to our local children hospital in Medford, OR. This year, we've gone though a bit of an upgrade. Normally we play in my classroom (and at a local gaming store when they open a little later), but last year has shown we've outgrown the space. In response, one of my seniors has successfully booked the Best Western Convention Center in Yreka,CA from 8am Nov. 5th to 8am Nov. 6th. While most of my students will be on consoles or doing card games, my small M2E-meta outside of school will be completing our Shifting Loyalties League throughout the 25 hours. If you would like to join us for this great celebration of gaming for a great cause, I'll try to host additional small Wyrd events during the day like demos, open tables, painting sessions, Henchmen Hardcores, or Enforcer Brawls (depending on demand). I can't guarantee a full fledged tourney (again since our League is concluding), but if you and friends come to play Wyrd products with us, I'll have some Guilders jingling in my pocket ready to hand out. No entry fee or anything; all that I request is if you would like to visit us anytime throughout the 25 hours (or if you want to contribute to our efforts), donate and sponsor myself or one of my students. All proceeds are #FTK For updates on this event and others we host in the Southern Oregon/Northern California region, follow our M2E meta at Jefferson State Malifaux Facebook. You can find event itself at it's Facebook Event Page. Cheers!
  15. So, the 9/2016 FAQ clarified hazardous terrain. If I enter terrain (specifically the Core Book and small Rulebook I believe give the examples of a Push or a Walk), or start an activation within it, it takes damage from each hazardous piece once per Turn. However, say my Jaakuna Ubume Walks forward, bathing an already-activated enemy model in her 3" Hazardous Terrain Aura, Drowning in My Wake. Does the model: Immediately take hazard damage during Jaakuna's current activation, because Jaakuna Walking into engagement with the model (her Close Attack has same range as Aura) is also considered "entering" the terrain, or Will take damage only when it activates NEXT Turn, since the model itself didn't provide the movement to "enter" the terrain My interpretation has been #2 up until this point from strict interpretations of what it means to "enter." I guess Jaakuna in particular has Lure to force a model to "enter" into her Aura itself, but the answer to this question still pertains to other models like Ama no Zako and her (0), Miasma of Boils and Flies, who does not have forced movement options (since Promising Whisper is also a (0), Ama is unlikely to do both without help from a Reactivate or Von Schill's Aura from the Engage at Will Upgrade). I'm wondering if anything has changed now if the FAQ updated the importance of Hazardous, trickling down to these models?
  16. If only there was an index of all the TtB content published in Chronicles...
  17. When I get home, I'll snap a pic of my FM's ceramic mug. Maybe this can inspire me to crank out another one... maybe with Shooty and Pokey Viks... Also, I'm still in talks with my mom about making a legit stain-glass-window of a Malifaux Master for our house. Still deciding on a master though... Either of these of any interest?
  18. As an alternative to tournaments for the near future, I will be running a 6-Week "Hideout" Campaign League using Shifting Loyalties at Astral Games in Medford, OR. We are trying to promote a softer entry point for new players than Tournaments, but still have a productive experience for my existing players than simple Open Tables or Demo Days. All experience-levels welcome if you live near our area. Entering mid-League is totally fine! See the below flyer for details, and hope to see you there at our first meeting (Week 1 on August 27th)!

  20. In Shifting Loyalties, p. 5, third paragraph of "Starting the Campaign," it describes how players hire their beginning Arsenal of 35 SS. Most notably, it talks about how, at this time, each crew can purchase ONE, NON-CAMPAIGN Upgrade. My question is, does this Upgrade clock in at its normal cost (the SS cost printed on its card), or does it have the typical "doubled tax" like all following non-campaign Upgrades have (as described on p. 6, fourth paragraph of "New Hires"). An example would be I'm interested in running a Resser Campaign crew lead by Datsue-ba. I'm interested purchasing Spirit Beacon, which can be attached to either her or my Jaakuna Ubume. Does this Upgrade cost 1 SS from my original 35, or 2? An even more extreme example illustrating a harsher difference between costs is in a Guild crew. During initial hiring, a player wants to purchase Lead Lined Coat, to either be passed between his Henchman/Enforcer, or to stack with a (hopefully, during play) future Campaign Upgrade, Metal Plate. Is this Coat at the cost of 2 SS, or the very prohibitive 4? Finally, a player wants to hire an Emissary with its generic Conflux. Is it effectively free, or 2 SS? I know these examples might be getting redundant, but these are three slightly different problems... This is my group's second Campaign. During the first one, I ruled that this beginning (and only) Upgrade does NOT come in at double cost, because initial hiring is done with 35 Soulstones, NOT Scrip. Page 5 never mentions Scrip (only hiring with Soulstones) until the remainder is converted into max 3 Scrip, while page 6 exclusively talks about the SS-->Scrip conversion rate of Weekly Hires. Is this correct though? How do other groups play? Which was Wyrd's original intention (are these effectively two different currencies, or was the intention always making purchases in terms of one system (i.e. Scrip))? I know this is splitting hairs on an expression of the game that is even less mega-competitive, but I just want to be consistent with popular thought as we start our second campaign.
  21. Fun tournament yesterday! We had six players in total. As I recall, our results: Brandon K (Arcanist) Josh T (Gremlins) Monique M (Neverborn) Kat E (Ressers) Ron H (Guild) Jolie T (Arcanist) We might be taking a slight hiatus from tourneys in our area, opting instead for a brief run at a Campaign League. Visit our Facebook page if you'd like to know more!
  22. Come by to Astral Games of Medford Oregon on July 30th for our third tournament, Bleeding Edge Tech! For more details and questions, come visit the event page here, or visit our community page here. Cheers!
  23. Quick rundown of results! Fantastic turnout this week! Got 7 players, and I stepped in as a non-competitive Ringer.
