  1. Good to know! Is that group playing 1.5 mostly, or are they playing beta games there?
  2. I hear they play at Guardian Games Friday evenings and there is also a "Beerlifaux" event going on I believe the Saturday after this one. I plan to show up on Friday, and I intend to bring my guild and gremlins. At this point I would probably not bother learning 1.5, even though 2.0 is kind of in flux. On a beer related note, I also think they have a Brewfest going on in downtown Vancouver this Sat. Disclaimer: I haven't actually played any games here, just moved from Omaha. It just seems like they have a good community based on what I have seen on the Internet. P.S. Check out Through the Breach podcast.
  3. Awesome. Want very very much. I would also be very interested if this were to become available.
  4. Then again, if you really wanted consistency, would you be playing gremlins in the first place?
  5. On Francois using his Hair Trigger ability you do have to remember that he needs to actually damage the thing as well as have the ram. You will rarely do your full compliment of attacks unless your targets have low defense. It can be priceless against a lot of the rank and file minions but you are probably better off having Ophelia give herself the suit if you are big game hunting.
  6. I think spreading out your gremlins to kill stuff it usually bad. The bayou gremlin is a great value. It is also a lot better value if you can heal it, summon more off it, draw cards when it dies, negate Woops, or let it shoot into melee willy-nilly. Or heck, do all of those things at once.
  7. It would probably depend heavily on whether you were playing Som'er or Ophelia. The time-honored tradition of ignoring your enemy and going for the objective may or may not work here. She does tend to jump around a lot. If I had to kill her, I would try to so something with damage with no resist with Som'er (Mosquitos or stuffed of both). For Ophelia, I would probably try to start a companion chain and spray slop on her and pew pew her to death. As for dealing with her crew, it can be really variable. Probably a construct or two in there however!
  8. I don't think of Som'er as having any real special utility except for summoning. He does a bit of everything, and in a very tough body for a gremlin, but you can use another model to get anything he might offer for utility (including damage with no resist). If I were a betting man, I would predict that Som'er will have his utility skills moved to upgrades. I think that those upgrades will compete with summoning upgrades, allowing you to choose whether you want a Swiss Army gremlin or a bayou gremlin factory.
  9. Found my next project. I hope a big plastic pig kit is in the works!
  10. Zero actions are actions that are not walk or pass. They end the effect.
  11. I think the current campaign rules from WC5 have a lot of Necromunda flavor. All of the same principles are there. I think that if you want to run a campaign that 2E would probably be even better because it is going to be explicitly upgrade-friendly. The TTB RPG would probably be also a very good place to start for rules for a campaign. As an aside, hats off to Necromunda. After a decade of running unsupported it showed it was definitely Hard to Kill and Slow to Die.
  12. I am looking forward to this. I know exactly who I want to use.
  13. I think that it is perfectly acceptable to carve out a pig-shaped hole in the wall and continue the push.
