  1. I could be because of the size of the file. Some very large PDFs can cause the printing process to fail. Try printing it in pieces rather that all at once. That may solve your problem.
  2. No, you can't use your (0) action since it is a "free" action - no AP actually spent. You must spend at least 1 Action Point to gain anything from Defensive Stance.
  3. Now that you've had a few days to start reading Through the Breach I'd love to hear what you think of the game. What kind of info is included in both the player's and GM's books?
  4. Congratulations on joining the Henchmen! We'd be glad to have you join us for the league. Hope to see you on Tuesday evenings at GK! -Steve
  5. Hi Everyone, Do you play Malifaux? Are you interested in learning to play? I’ll be hosting a beginner friendly Malifaux league at Game Kastle in Fremont, CA on Tuesday nights. We’ll be using the new Second Edition rules. The league starts on Tuesday, March 4th and runs for 6 weeks until Tuesday, April 8th. We’ll meet every Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm. All Players must start with the models from a basic Malifaux crew box (either the original metal ones or the new plastic ones) and build a 35 Soulstone crew from those models. We will be using only those miniatures for the first 2 weeks. Players are free to switch out Models and Upgrades to tailor their crews from the contents of their original starter boxes, but they can’t bring in models from outside the starter box until week 3. Week 1: 35 Soulstone Crews Week 2: 35 Soulstone Crews Week 3: 40 Soulstone Crews Week 4: 40 Soulstone Crews Week 5: 45 Soulstone Crews Week 6: 45 Soulstone Crews I want this league to be casual and fun, so there is NO ENTRY FEE! If you have any questions, feel free to drop me an email. Hope to see you there! -Steve
  6. I just started playing my new Lilith crew and I have a question about Flight. I've read the FAQ and am still confused. Say I have a Young Nephilim with WK 6 who is standing on ground level (height 0) and wants to move to the roof of a height 3 building. How do I measure my movement? Do I measure in an "L" shape, linear distance plus height? Do I measure diagonally from my current location of the rooftop? Do I only measure the linear distance (and can land on the HT3 roof because it is equal to or lower than my WK score)? Thanks, Steve
  7. Can a crew hire more than 1 Henchman? If there is a rule that prevents this, please point me at the page number in the rulebook. Thanks!
  8. I actually like the sombrero that Francisco is wearing.
  9. According to the rules, you can only ever activate 1 additional model as a Chain Activation. So if you cast Alpha a second time, there would be no effect.
  10. Malifaux Tournament: Through the Breach We're pleased to bring you “Through the Breach”, our inaugural Malifaux tournament. With the start of the new edition, we're kicking off what will become the first in a long line of Malifaux events. This will be a 3 round tournament using the brand new Malifaux Second Edition rules. Whether you're a veteran from the early days or if Second Edition is your first foray into Malifaux, everyone is welcome to participate! Location Game Kastle, Fremont, CA 3911 Washington Blvd, Fremont, CA (510) 651-4263 Date Sunday November 17, 2013 Start Time 2:00 pm Entry Fee $10 payable to Game Kastle Crew Size and Limitations 50 SS Crews Fixed list – No substitutions between rounds Full rules for the tournament can be downloaded here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7446193/Through the Breach Tournament.pdf
  11. I just went back and re-read the rules in light of Mako's last post. It does look like Mako and Aus are correct. Thanks, guys!
  12. I have to agree with Rhonlore here. My reading of the first paragraph is that models which are engaged (or engaging) and within 2 inches are the only legal targets.
  13. Your second ruling is correct. Both attacks are part of the Charge action and therefore do not require additional Horror duels.
  14. Wow! Great work!! Those colors really pop! What colors and techniques did you use?
