The Unrelenting Terror ability states that enemy models within a 4" aura (which did not Charge this model during this activation) lose all immunities to Horror Duels... It stands to reason that this means that a model which charges a different terrifying model within 4" of The Hanged would have to pass a horror duel upon targeting for the charge and before every Ml attack action. Is this true? If so then two The Hanged near one another is quite a powerful combination.

I am not new to Malifaux, but have recently relocated to Hilton Head. Is there anyone around me who would like to play a game?

Toshiro is a great model, especially in one of these Nico-swarm type lists. His Daimyo aura pairs excellently with Bolster Undead. The only issue is that it forces you to ball up pretty hard so beware of blasts and pulses.

The Coryphee have Pass Through. I don't know how you are properly placing your Punk Zombies but you must have them in a pretty thick circle around Nico.

Is there any way to get a single Coryphee? Particularly the one standing on one leg. The ideal situation would be a pack of 2 of the same Coryphee.

Unfortunately, Eternal Servitude has AR: Discard four Conflict Tokens. which means you have to discard the four Conflict Tokens as part of declaring the spell, not after a successful casting. Therefore, if you're gonna be casting it twice a turn, you better have 8 tokens.

Kang also really helps. Get him on a negatives on resist duels and he is doomed.

So Izamu doesn't die all that often but when he does, in a Yan Lo crew, sometimes his 3 corpse counters are the only ones around. Sure, you could brnig Izamu back with 6 wd and have him continue the dance of death for another turn or two. But, if youve got the time and dont need to be leaving the immediate area of his demise, you can actually make this a little more effective. Summon him back using only one of his corpse counters. Leaving 2 behind. He will have 2 wds but will still be izamu. Either he gets focused and dies quickly, or he gets in an activation. Ultimately he dies, and drops 3 more corpse counters. Now you have 5 corpse counters to summon him back at full wounds. Sure, a smart opponent wouldn't choose to kill him so near to all those corpse counters but then they are choosing to leave a weak Izamu on the board.

Not to mention what happens to bete or Izamu.

I don't know if anyone else has tried this out, but I've used these two together twice now and it is completely ridiculous. As far as staying alive/mass damage output I would say they are unparalleled. Combined with Toshiro the Daimyo they are really just unstoppable. Throw in 1/2 beaters and/or X 3/5 ss minions (dependent on strategy) to taste. You've got whatever sweet minions getting Bolstered, turned into spirits, pushed around by teki o juden, and then recieving a positive flip with melee attacks (on their bolstered cb). Not to mention giving Toshi some conflict tokens if you are lucky. When they die, Nico just replaces them and Chiaki removes their slow. Yan Lo gains Chi all the way, aiming for that final level of spirit which is the last piece of the puzzle. Now all your Bolstered, Positive Flipping minions which have been pushed closer to their position by Teki o Juden just tear through whatever stands in their path. Combined Toshiro, Yan Lo, and Nicodem make a single 4ss Ashigaru a serious threat, even at this high points level.

Unfortunately "Philosophy of Uncertainty" requires you to sacrifice the casting model before the opponent flips to resist. So, they can cast it twice a game if you play it right.

The first few times I ran Yan Lo, I tried the dog-kill list. It only made sense as a way to have Yan Lo come out of the gate white-hot and ready for killing. However, I found that, by the end of the game, I simply had TOO MUCH chi. There's just no need for him to be max Spirit, Max Bone, and level 2 Ash.

Dude, if everyone is playing living crews, you should be loving life. Maybe not with chiaki or Yan Lo. But that sounds like nicodem's wet dream.

I dont know about you guys, but I had alot of problems getting the brittle spears, Chiaki's flute, et cetera, off the sprue. I was using clippers and it was just putting too much strain on the bits. However, once I switched to just cutting the connections with a hobby knife, things looked up. The trick is saving the one that looks like its going to be hardest for last, that way the stress is going right into the sprue, instead of through the spear to another connection point.

The real thing about this guy is that all his sweet abilities are always on types of things. Making things like Sniper, Guerrilla Fighter or any of those triggers turn on with (0) actions or spells would make it more legitimate as a 6-7 ss model. Also a (0) for guerrilla fighter would give him a marginal weakness due to being targeted before he activates, and having sniper be a (1) spell would force him to choose between taking a sweet shot or 2 only okay ones. Another possiblity is making a (1) spell that is harder to cast but gives Sniper and [+] to your next ranged attack flip.

That's all fair and true, but you also have to consider that they will replace any sort of mispack/damaged model with relative immediacy.

Secret Spirit: Only Crews containing Kirai may hire this model. Along the same lines as Math, you could bring Kirai with no seishin and no spirit minions in your Resser list. Talk about an underperformance.

Soulstones. Makes the possbility of casting Reanimator much greater (especially with the Black Joker in hand.) HAIL IZAMU!

From my experience, Kirai can take the Viks. Just not in a Slaughter, CP type strat. The best thing to do is just flood a victoria with as many spirits as humanly possible. Yes, she will get that Whirlwind off, cut down droves of your spirits, but you can just summon in more!

I just got Nico today and noticed, for the first time, that he has a weird construct-looking left leg. Is there a fluff reason for that or is it a case of it was a different model before he was Nicodem?
