  1. Pretty cool you managed to make them! They worked perfectly apparently. The font is actually Code bold or Market deco... Can't remember but they do look alike.
  2. yeah! I've got two, a General store, and an ammo store. with more to come.
  3. Could be the scale during import, I've included several kinds of files, maybe another format? Just checked it in illustrator, it's correct there.
  4. Oh yeah, it's because the name of my local business is Märchen, which is the name for the narrative tradition of the "wonder-tale". And nope! They are 30 and 50 mm. and the double ones for terrain effects are 50 x 100
  5. For those with access to a laser cutter: I started a while ago a Patreon project that's pretty unique: I basically create laser-cut terrain plans for YOU. You tip me 1 or 2 dollars (your choice) per design, and you also get a lot of free stuff just for being there. I've recently started designing stuff for Malifaux, you might want to check it out at: https://www.patreon.com/marchen?ty=h
  6. I just added it! hope you like it. And here's a fixed link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5q6tnljqfgvypbj/AABR5f0rCWJHnN8YnRl2IIjTa?dl=0
  7. Be sure to share the pictures of your tokens when you're done! Cheers!
  8. Hello everyone! I'm back with more tokens. this time: a Re-done Focus, new BLAST marker, and Ice pillars + Flame wall. Again, download here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/c3x354csgsrx25d/AADgSgoqo0n1ugoRWfarCFLda?dl=0 Cheers!
  9. Alright, thanks to your feedback, I've added new tokens to the Laser cut file. Here are version 2's additions: Remember, RED AREAS will be sunk, and will appear darker. Get to your local Fablab and make AWESOME tokens! and let me know please. Download all files, here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/c3x354csgsrx25d/AADgSgoqo0n1ugoRWfarCFLda?dl=0
  10. I must congratulate you on your rapid, steady and unstoppable growth in quality. Even in something "tangential" like Wyrd chronicles. It REALLY looks like any professional magazine nowadays, and is as enjoyable as ever. Is there a way to collaborate with articles for it? I haven't found a suitable email to ask this.
  11. I use my own set I designed, and you can too if you'd like: Grab a laser cutter and use your favorite material with this file: https://www.dropbox....ens_wood_v1.eps You should get something like this: http://wyrd-games.net/community/uploads/monthly_10_2013/post-11243-13911931169835.jpg
  12. Man don't let that stop you. Grab Inkscape it's free. It is indeed all the markers in the picture and that includes one of each: Supply Wagon Soulstone bag Blood Dynamite Dynamite (lit) Paralyzed Corpse Scrap Claim Jump Soulstone Treasure Evidence Brilliance Poison Blight Burning Soulstone.
  13. Any vector editing program. Adobe illustrator is to me one of the easiest. You can also use Inkscape and Autocad. And not only Fablabs, A lot of Architecture supply shops, design and invitation shops do this too.
  14. Gotta love me some Ras. As a big fan of the character, I was excited by the 2e design, so once the re-designed box was out, I grabbed the Icy posee. And then forgot all about it until a while ago; here's the painted Rasputina. I have to say: Wyrd's new scale REALLY threw me off balance. It reminded me quite a bit of Infinity and it's small as it gets miniatures.
  15. Heyo! Long time since I wrote anything in the forum. I thought I'd share something for all my fellow Malifaux players. So say, Would you like to have some decent tokens? something like this? If you do, then you don't have to do anything but download this file: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/c3x354csgsrx25d/AADgSgoqo0n1ugoRWfarCFLda?dl=0 The file itself is an editable EPS vector file with the data needed for laser cutting your own Tokens. Cut them in wood (real wood) Veneer (Real veneer) MDF (oh well, it kinda looks like wood) or Acrylics. Show us your laser power! Find your nearest laser cutting supplier or Fablab, and bring some much needed panache to your gaming table. Anyway, I really do hope you guys like them. I'd love to see pictures of the tokens in use. Cheers!
  16. Heyo! Just thought I would drop this here. I wanted to show you a bunch of Malifaux Tokens I did recently in MDF. The illustrations were fun to do, and they look great in person. Me and my gaming group had always had a love for malifaux since it was the game that got us together so I just went ahead and produced them for our use. like them?
  17. So... We had our monthly big Malifaux Battlefest coming up in our game club. So I figured I'd do something special this time for the guys and keep it a secret until it was time to duke it out. This was a 3 night project. One night to cut the foam (Pink foam) and cut inlays like the precipice and where puddles would be located. Another night to sculpt/basecoat and add textures, and a final night for the painting, resins, flocking and whatnot. And here it is. Each tile measures 1 feet. We used some of the little finished other terrain pieces we had and most of the WIP terrain. but for three nights after work, it was a good surprise i'd say. I think I'm going to go next time with something I can cut in a more exact way, like wood for the bases of the tiles. I liked the idea, but it is hard not to cut at an angle with the foam, and made the fitting kind of iffy. This was colored with leftover housepaint, and Oil colors and washes, which are unexpensive, and strangely unused for terrain methinks. Resin is just tinted clear resin left to puddle. so, what do you think? like?
  18. Hello Again! Here are the Pillars in action, doing their best to protect Rasputina from the advancing Lady justice crew, and the Ortega Pricks from the right flank. Needless to say, I died, but at least it was cinematic. you can also see the "frosted" Pillars that aren't transparent here.
  19. You can also use their method, and THEN you can sell them for profit ---------- Post added at 11:57 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:55 AM ---------- Of course you can, to tell you the truth they're REALLY easy to make. Resin and Molds sound daunting (And well. 2 part molds and keyed molds ARE daunting, but no so these simple ones) but they're not really. I'm going to be doing some Fire walls, I've already sculpted the original and I'm just waiting for some time to make a mold out of it. ---------- Post added at 11:58 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:57 AM ---------- To tell you the truth I wasn't going to. Believe it or not I've been getting that question in my blog and facebook pages, seems people like them. I'll gladly sell you some if you want them, even at just the material cost and shipping (or we could trade ). Just bear In mind I live in Mexico.
  20. So, this Thread Has just become a Tutorial. Let's go: Creating and Molding Ice Pillars for Rasputina. Also useful for ANY kind of "crystal" or for Fire walls. Or for anything else that can be molded withouth mold locks or two part molds. The first step is to generate an original for our Ice Crystal. Of course, you need something to mold from. In my case, I'm sculpting them with the Cheapest Polymer clay around, Sculpey Original Terracota. You can use Epoxy clay or Air-dry clay. Even Normal Non-curing Clay. For a more exact look and better tooling I'm going to go with polymer clay. If you want to do the same but aren't familiar with the material, I've previously written an introductory manual here: http://nemo-h.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4lf826 As you can see. I merely Lumped the clay in an approximate shape and started cutting angles with a flat tool and a Cutter Blade (BE CAREFUL) Once I was done with that, I stopped sculpting and baked it. Most of the work for this will be done AFTER this is baked. After the last step, The refinement starts. I Start by leveling the base against a flat piece of sanding paper. After that, I take a couple of large-grit sandpaper pieces and start removing my finger marks from the cured sculpt. I sand it in a general way and try to keep the angles sharp and the planes well defined. http://heribertohobby.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/03012013061.jpg A few planes will be better defined with the cutter. New faces are cut this way. Do so carefully and NEVER cut towards you. I also created some cuts, dents and scratches. The mold will pick up ALL detail so make sure that you want whatever mark you do to be part of the final casting. After a bit of this, I've got several Crystal pieces done. I'm not showing it here, but I sanded the crystals with a bit of water and some fine grit to refine them more. They're ready for molding. A very quick method for molding is to simply do a Pour mold. And a Very fast way to get a good wall around it is to build it with Legos. I'm pouring this in two parts. The Weighted and catalyzing RTV mix was poured in a constant stream, a brush was used to apply it evenly over the visible tips of the crystals (you can do that to create thin RTV layers that will pick detail and have Zero bubbles.) Part of making this mold in several pours is because I'm going to strenghten it for heavy use. Let's make this Mold a Hardcore Mold. As you probably know, once you pour Fresh RTV over Previously cured RTV, They will incorporate seamlessly. This RTV mix is the cheapest and softest available. To make this mold last and prevent it from breaking when removing the crystal casts (I want to cast HUNDREDS of these suckers!) I applied Medical gauze that's been chopped a bit and then poured a bit more. This will greatly lenghten the life span of the mold. Here's a pretty block mold! Now, I've mixed some Crystal resin with very little blue pigment (Resins change a lot between manufacturers and there are several kinds of them like Polyester resins and Epoxies so the best advice I can tell you is to REALLY read the manufacturer's advice. and poured. I also managed to make some transparent bases since I poured more than what I needed. I always keep spare molds around for casts just in case I go overboard with the resin Mix. The finished Casts. The idea here was to be able to mix and match between small and large crystals on each base. The finished product you've already seen above. You can sand the corners where angles meet for a cooler Ice-looking effect. You can use non-transparent resin and paint them too once you apply primer. You can make other kinds of mixes to create frosty looking resin (did that!) and even trap some leds inside for crazy lighting (I'm on that!) Let me know if you found this useful, or if you made some of your own.
  21. Actually they are next on my list! None of us here in the club have her (I do want her though) but Someone has a master that also spams them like there's no tomorrow (I think It was Kaeris but don't take my word for it)
  22. Hey there everyone! Here in Mexico, there´s not that many people who play Wargames, and there´s even less of those that like Malifaux. I´m working on promoting the game locally, and we have gathered a little club in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco. A local Media studio called Lateral Images has a small Internet show that´s all about reporting on Mexico´s board game scene. I was invited to participate in 3 episodes and decided Malifaux needed some love. The first one was an introduction (in general) to wargames, and this one is all about the game. The next one will be about rules. They tell me subtitles are coming soon. But here you go on the meantime
  23. sure. Is there a special, better place to post them or Do I just translate here?
  24. That looks Amazing! I really Dig it. The shorter cristals definitely look better.
