  1. I just left the ridiculous plague cloud thing on the sprue. Hamelin looks a lot better without it, and he actually fits on his base properly.
  2. The character would be based around the Tinker pursuit. I was thinking something along the lines of hawkeye with his quiver full of trick arrows. The game doesn't have much in the way of special arrows (just barbed and piped) so I figured magia was a way to go for things like fire arrows, ice arrows, poison arrows, etc. I just can't figure out a way to make it work using magia
  3. Can you use genus immuto to change the legal targets of a spell rather than add or subtract them? For example, if i wanted a version of Heal that only affects constructs, would that require the use of an immuto, or would i just say "it only affects constructs" and leave the TN as it is?
  4. I'm struggling to find the best way to represent an ability a friend of mine is trying to create for her character. She wants someone who has a variety of different special mechanical arrows to use with her bow (steampunk hawkeye, essentially). I was thinking of tinkerer with the sorcery magia being elemental projectile. She would then have the focus immuto (bows) and a variety of other immuto to represent the variety of different arrows. However, I can't find a way to make it so the focus immunto has to be used when the elemental projectile magia is used. I also can't find a way to make the spell use grace + archery for it's casting/attack flip. I know these can be done if the ability is a manifested power, but the player kind of wants to start with her trick arrows, plus the manifested power trick arrow can't have variable immuto to represent different kinds of arrows. So is there a way to do this I'm just missing, or is it impossible to represent this ability in TTB? *Or would it be better make the trick arrows as mundane arrows (like the barbed and piped arrows) and have her take something else as her sorcery magia?
  5. So, is Night of the Carver the Halloween adventure that was hinted at, or are we also getting an October Chronicle with a Halloween adventure in it, hopefully before it's actually Halloween?
  6. What would be the best way to paint a wooden fence so it looks like the wood is old and sun-bleached? i was thinking of painting it all dark grey, then haphazardly brush on light grey and white. But, I'm not sure if that'll turn out the way I want it. I would love to hear other suggestions, or maybe someone has a link to a tutorial or something?
  7. The people at Wyrd have stated numerous times that they didn't have the time or manpower to create consistent wording across the entire game. This is where the "push towards" and "push directly towards" issue comes from. I think this "after dealing damage" and "after damaging" is the same thing, splitting hairs.
  8. I'm looking for a metal Watcher. Assembled or painted is fine, as long as it's complete and undamaged. Card or no card is fine. I can pay via paypal, but I also have some random non-Malifaux minis to trade (you can see what i have here: https://tristansnexus.wordpress.com/)
  9. Fingers crossed for a Halloween-themed adventure that comes out early enough to run on Halloween. I'd love to write one myself, but I'm just so busy currently.
  10. Is there any chance that there will be a Chronicles for October that contains a special Halloween adventure for TTB?
  11. Tabletop simulator seems kind of expensive, especially if everyone has to buy it. Ah well, maybe i can just designate one player as the card drawer for the group or something.
  12. Unlike Malifaux, TTB uses a communal Fate Deck that the GM and all the players are meant to draw from. Is there a web site or an app or something that can be used as a communal Fate Deck for online games? If anyone here has run a game of TTB online how did you handle the Fate Deck?
  13. Lets say you burn through your entire draw deck during a turn, but you still have actions left that will require card draws. Do you reshuffle your discard pile back into your draw pile if you need to draw and you run out of cards? I'm assuming yes, but I can't seem to find anything about it in the rulebook.
  14. Night Terrors are spirits and, as we've already seen *coughnipplepastiescough*, spirits do sometimes manifest wearing clothing items. Maybe the shirt and pants are just remnant memories from when the night terrors were living beings. I'm also hoping the pillar is a separate piece. The one reason I'm holding back on getting the Rasputina crew set is that I'm not looking forward to having to remove the Wendigo from his little playmate. i would be really disappointed if the Night Terrors had the same problem
  15. of course she's awkwardly posed, so would you if you were removing your own head ? Since my last reply was eaten: I had no idea she was holding her own head. I thought she was just doing some kind of really awkward sexy dancer pose or something. Now that I know what she's really doing the pose makes a lot more sense. I still prefer the second one, but i'd be happy to use either, or both, in my Seamus and Molly crews.
  16. The pose for the first one looks a bit awkward, but the second one looks fantastic. Can't wait to get her for my Molly and Seamus crews
  17. Chronicles 19 mentions new strategies, including Extraction. Are these in Shifting Loyalties, or were new strategies released somewhere else?
  18. Sadly, Wyrd sometimes has a bit of a problem translating the renders into sculpts. Just look at the horrendous job they did with the Watcher in Hoffman's crew box. It's just unfortunate that these problems aren't deemed "important enough" for Wyrd to fix them.
  19. I was hoping to save some money by using scraps of cardboard I already have lying around, but yea, it seems like the added aggravation just isn't worth it. Some of those dollhouse barrels look really good, and are so much cheaper than the resin "gaming terrain" barrels I've found.
  20. I've never understood the reasoning behind delaying the pdf to give the physical copy time to sell first. People who want the pdf typically wont buy the physical copy, so are forced to wait, which means wyrd isn't getting their money. People who buy the physical copy either wont want the pdf, or, more likely, they'll want the pdf as well. If the pdf isn't available people are again forced to wait for the pdf and wyrd is missing out on sales. So, either way, wyrd is sacrificing a huge number of sales. It makes more sense to me to release BOTH the pdf and the physical copy at the same time to maximize sales to their fullest.
  21. I really like the idea of making the joints and internal components brass, and the outer armour plating enameled steel. Of course, now I have to figure out what colours to use for the enamel. The guild's official colour scheme is bubblegum pink with fluorescent green polka dots, isn't it?
  22. Hmm, looks like none of the papercraft barrels I can find of an appropriate size are rounded either. I guess it's a problem no one has been able to solve
  23. At first thought making barrels should be fairly easy. You make a cardboard cylinder, cap both ends with cardboard disks, paint it an appropriate brown, draw thin black lines down it do divide the wooden planks, then wrap thin strips of painted cardstock around it for the metal bands. The only thing I can't figure out is how to make the outside curve slightly, like how real barrels bulge out in the middle. Does anyone happen to have any suggestions, or a good guide to making cardboard barrels?
  24. I can't remember if it's been mentioned in any of the fluff but what metal are guild constructs made from? From the artwork it looks like some kind of darkened steel, but wouldn't it make more sense for the time period if they were made from brass or bronze (can't remember which was more commonly used, or which is considered more steampunky)?
  25. Misery only affects enemy models. Would the Bad Juju be considered an enemy model when he failed the wp duel? um, no? Bad Juju would take the damage once the wp duel was failed (assuming he does in fact take the damage from misery), so he would die before taking the action. Unless there's some crazy timing thing I'm missing
