  1. This was explained earlier in the thread.
  2. He is in fact a different plastic. You will need to use super glue but I didn't need any pinning for mine and had no issues!
  3. Happy Monday Wyrdos! I was walking around the office when I almost tripped over this Monday Preview! Despite asking around everywhere nobody would tell me what this thing is or what it's for, but I knew I needed to share it with you. Feel free to speculate away!
  4. I'll go ahead and clear the air in a general sense. Sometimes technology is weird and wonky. We all know that. We have some great folks who make sure that if technology went sideways that you get what you were supposed to get. As long as your order was 100$ or more, made in the sale time frame, etc. you will have an alt Lazarus. Hopefully that clears a few things up for everyone
  5. Happy Monday Wyrdos! This Monday we have a preview of the upcoming Penny Dreadful The Obsidian Gate. There is a lot going on in this adventure that makes it extra special! Enjoy the Cover art and then head on over to the Global Campaign site to learn more!
  6. Happy Friday Wyrdos! It's time for us to continue taking a peek at the Other Side. This week we are going to be traveling the streets of London in style with the Motor Scout! Let's take a look. The Military Service Act brought in more than just traditional soldiers. It also resulted in the recruitment of a large number of inventors who were more than happy to bend their minds to the task of supporting the Empire. One of the more successful of them was Alphonse Whittenchapel, the inventor of the Motor Scout. By combining a quadracycle with a machine gun, Alphonse seemed to be the epitome of an eccentric inventor. Meanwhile, the cheap and fast Motor Scouts have gone on to be used by untrained troops to harass enemy lines. On the tabletop, Motor Scouts have a decent ranged attack that gives out Pinned Tokens. When combined with their high Speed, this makes them a good (and cheap) harassing unit. Their ability to multiply on the tabletop cannot be overlooked, as multiple Motor Scouts can quickly overwhelm an opponent with Activations and Pinned tokens.
  7. Happy Friday Wyrdos! This Sunday many young children will be hunting for eggs, but in the Other Side the egg will be hunting for you! That is because we are previewing the Egg Clutch of the Gibbering Hordes! What can be said about a pile of eggs? The Gibbering Hordes reproduce almost exclusively through the laying of eggs, and since their appearance on Earth, more and more of these Egg Clutches are being discovered in the dark and damp places of the world. Which species an egg will hatch into is a mystery that humans have yet to unravel, though the odds tend to favor Karkinoi or Crawlers, as the former lay a high number of eggs and the later are simply very numerous. The fact that many eggs end up as food for other species is one of the few things that have kept the numbers of the Hordes at least somewhat in check back on Malifaux. On the table, Egg Clutches don’t do much. Despite this, they are still quite useful. They are able to come back into play when killed via Endless Numbers, and they make an excellent target for Survival of the Fittest. When they are no longer needed for support, they can hatch and become another hungry creature in the Hordes’ forces.
  8. Happy Monday Wyrdos! Today is shaping up to be a hot one. In fact it is getting really hot! I guess that is what we get for inviting the Fire Golem into the office today. Let's take a look at this guy! The Fire Golem is a powerful enforcer that utilizes the Burning Condition in a number of new ways. In addition to lighting enemies on fire with its Flaming Fist and Flame Tornado attacks, it possesses the Flame Nova Action, which lets it discard a card to give all models within 3" and LoS (including itself) the Burning Condition. This isn't the only way the Fire Golem can light its own fire; it has the Kindling trigger on its Flaming Fists that increase its Burning, as well as the amazing Draw Off Flame action, which lets it teleport into base contact with a Burning model within 10" and absorb all of its flames. As one might expect, the Fire Golem isn't really hindered by being on fire. It's immune to any sort of damage from the Burning Condition, and when it suffers damage, it can lower its Burning Condition to reduce the amount of damage it suffers by an equal amount. In order to make this ability more effect, the Fire Golem doesn't end its Burning Condition at the end of the turn... and neither does anyone unfortunate enough to be in base contact with it. Somewhere in the far-away workshops of the Arcanists, Anasalea Kaeris is making squeeing sounds.
  9. I mean maybe that's partly why?
  10. Happy Friday Wyrdos! We have yet another Friday preview for you. Today we are taking a little look at the Engineer of Abyssinia. The engineer is one of the Adjuncts in the game. Enjoy the sneak peek! Many Abyssinian forces take advantage of Engineers in order to better augment their forces. While often not amazing fighters, Engineers provide a variety of support functions to their unit, as well as an extra gun. On the tabletop, Engineers are an easy way to gain card advantage. In addition to this, their Adjunct Action is a solid ranged attack and, when coupled with Epic Death Scene, it makes them useful in just about any Abyssinian Squad.
  11. Happy Monday Wyrdos! Today we are going to continue to look at Backdraft. This time though, we will be taking a peek at the Arcanist side of things. Let's see what Fitzsimmons and his Saboteurs are up to! Joshua Fitzsimmons and his Saboteurs are M&SU agents who focus on the Union's more destructive goals. Fitzsimmons' most interesting ability is his Spring Traps, which transforms friendly Scheme Markers within 6" of him into explosives that damage all enemy models around it. When combined with his Arson action - which lets him burn a Scheme Marker and an enemy model standing near it to the ground - this makes Fitzsimmons very good at offensive board control. Better yet, his "I Didn't Start the Fire" action lets him end the Burning Condition on an enemy model to place a Scheme Marker in base contact with that model, allowing him to go both ways. His disguised Saboteurs follow this theme with their Detonate Hidden Charges action. This lets them damage and give Burning to enemy models within 2" of a Scheme Marker, all without discarding that Scheme Marker. They aren't quite as fire-focused as Fitzsimmons, however, and also carry Poisoned Knives to shake things up a bit. Both of these actions play right into the hands of their Set Up for Success ability, which allows a Saboteur to draw a card after it resolves an action that dealt damage to an enemy model within 2" of a Scheme Marker.
  12. We were working on this and to our knowledge it was fixed. If you could PM me with specifics that would be great.
  13. I say caw-saw in my head. But @Aaron might know more.
  14. Some would call her a Titan of industry.
  15. Happy Friday Wyrdos! Today we have a new Friday preview from the Cult of the Burning Man. The Burning Man's power can affect more than humanity, and in some cases has affected the wildlife. This preview is of one of those affected creatures. It’s not just humanity that has been touched by the corrupting magic of the Burning Man. Many Earth animals have also been warped by its effects, but none more so than the rhino. This unexplained phenomenon caused a panic in the zoos of San Francisco and London, as the transformed rhinos were granted increased strength and intelligence by the same process that transformed their bellies into searing furnaces. Once a rhino becomes magically corrupted, it seeks out conflict in an effort to cause as much destruction as it can. On the table, Immolated Rhinos function best when given the Rush Order and unleashed upon the opponent. Coupled with an ability to pulse out Hits, even a single Rhino is often too potent for the enemy to ignore. Their Consumed by Magic and Incarnation of Flames Abilities make them great distractions, as it will often take a great deal of firepower to permanently end an Immolated Rhino's corrupted life.
  16. Happy Monday Wyrdos! We are taking a look at the other part of the Gremlins in the Backdraft Encounter box with Popcorn Turner and Cooper Jones. Take a peek! Popcorn Turner and his assistant, Cooper Jones, are prominent brewers in the southern Bayou. Popcorn brings the potent Induction ability into the Gremlin faction, increasing the damage that nearby enemies suffer from Poison by +2. Better yet, he protects friendly models from suffering Poison damage, making all of those Tri-Chi models that gain Poison while healing themselves all the more effective at staying on the table. As if Popcorn weren't borrowing enough from McMourning's playbook, he can also force models to immediately suffer damage equal to their Poison Condition, up to a maximum of five damage. When combined with the ability to light enemy models on fire and discard scheme markers to self-heal, this makes Popcorn Turner a very potent ally for the Brewmaster. Cooper Jones, meanwhile, is capable of putting a good deal of Poison onto enemies, which supports her boss quite well. Her obsession with barrels allows her to break down scheme markers to heal nearby Constructs, or she can just hide inside of a barrel to increase her Armor. Better yet, if she gets a few drinks into her, she can turn scheme markers into Whiskey Gamin... without spending a single Action. Plus, just look at that awesome blowtorch! This dynamic duo is sure to be a hit at parties, firework conventions, and in just about any Gremlin crew that enjoys a few good drinks.
  17. Yeah I would be the person to reach out to about it. Feel free to PM me, or respond to the email so I can help you get this sorted out! - Kai
  18. Happy Friday Wyrdos! It's time for another Friday Preview! This week we are looking at one of the Dual Faction Commanders. We start by looking at Kassa who can be a commander for both Abyssinia and the King's Empire. Kassa Okoye showed a penchant for engineering from a very young age. Even among the youth in Abyssinia, she was particularly gifted. After a childhood of intense schooling, Kassa eventually left to join the Abyssinian army. She was placed with the engineers, in charge of keeping equipment functioning for the front lines. Over time, she proved to be a capable soldier and demonstrated shrewd tactical prowess on the battlefield. After rapid promotion, she was sent as an emissary to the King's Empire to promote good relations between the Empire and Abyssinia. There, she worked with engineers and their Guild technology, heightening her craft with a completely different type of machinery. Kassa never had trouble making friends, and she easily was accepted as a fellow woman-at-arms in the Empire's forces. Upon returning to Abyssinia, she was given the freedom to explore her own inventions and ideas. She has chosen to do so on the various battlefields unfolding across the globe. On the tabletop, Kassa supports the massive constructs known as Titans. She gains resources when they are damaged, repairs them, and lets them take extra Actions. Though she functions best in her supporting role, she is capable of putting up a good fight in her own right. Kassa is no slouch with a machine gun and can lay down a good firebase all by herself. Kassa's greatest weakness is that when her Company's Titans have all fallen in battle, much of her usefulness dissipates. Ideally, she will have gained enough resources and advantages by that point that she'll be able to coast to victory with just her machine gun. Kassa is a fan of any Assets that give her another Morale Action, as that lets her stay at maximum effectiveness even when there is no friendly Titan nearby.
  19. Happy Monday Wyrdos! Last week we finished looking at the Undying. Now it's time to start looking into another upcoming story encounter box, Backdraft! We are starting by looking at some of the Gremlin models. To start with we have the Whiskey Gamin! Let's learn a little about these adorable, delicious little barrels. Unlike elemental Gamin, which are summoned by powerful magic spells and rituals, Whiskey Gamin are created by enterprising Gremlin artificers to carry their moonshine from one place to another. After the first few Whiskey Gamin disappeared into the swamp, the Gremlins started replacing their feet with wheels in order to make it more difficult for the little machines to run off with all their alcohol. When this made the Whiskey Gamin too cumbersome to escape predators (most notably, other Gremlins that wanted the moonshine they carried), the engineers replaced their arms with pump nozzles, allowing the Gamin to spray their attackers with the high proof (and very flammable) moonshine they carried. This is Gremlin engineering at its finest, folks. On the table, Whiskey Gamin are fast models that spread around (Alcohol) Poison(ing) and light inebriated models on fire. Like true Gamin, they explode when they are killed, showering everyone around them with moonshine.
  20. Happy Friday Wyrdos! It's time for another preview from The Other Side. Today we look at a nasty little creature from the Gibbering Hordes. Find out a little more about the Devouring Eel! The eels in the oceans of Malifaux tend to be fairly nasty creatures. There is one particular species, though, that is well above the rest in the amount of damage it can deal: the Devouring Eel. This eel is very large and possessed of incredible regenerative abilities. It constricts its prey, but it does so by opening its body down the middle, directly exposing its digestive organs. In this way, it begins devouring its prey immediately upon constriction, an incredibly painful process that has thus far served the Devouring Eels quite well. Since they can reproduce asexually, a single Devouring Eel can quickly lead to an infestation in an area with abundant food. On the table, Devouring Eels are fast and difficult to hit. This, coupled with their Regeneration, makes them very survivable units. Worse yet, once they are in Glory, they can split apart and create additional copies of themselves,
  21. Happy Friday Wyrdos! It's time for another look at the units of the Other Side. This time we look at the Mechanized Infantry of Abysinnia. This unit consists of both some Infantry and a powerful Walker. Let's take a peek! The Mechanized Infantry make up the primary firebase of an Abyssinian force. Every member of the Infantry is skilled with a machine gun, and they have been trained in how to pilot the massive Walker that serves as the unit's heavy artillery. What’s more, the Infantry are trained to make field repairs to their Walker, ensuring that their Squad stays at fighting strength for as long as possible. If the Crow Runners make up the bulk of the vanguard of an army, the Mechanized Infantry make up the army’s core. On the tabletop, this Squad serves as a powerful ranged option. Their machine guns can lay down solid fire, and when supported by the Walker’s battle cannon, they can do serious damage. Like many Abyssinian units, they are well-rounded and serve as a solid choice in almost any situation.
  22. Happy Monday Wyrdos! It's time for another Monday Preview. We finish looking at the upcoming Undying box with the Wanyudo! Let's take a peek. Wanyudo are the spirits of particularly wicked people who have taken the form of a severed head mounted at the center of a flaming wheel. Typically, only those spirits who abused their power while alive become Wanyudo in death, but Minako Rei can force this punishment upon those she kills. The created Wanyudo are subservient to her wishes, much like beaten dogs. On the tabletop, Wanyudo are fast enforcers that roll over anything in their path, leaving a path of broken and flaming bodies behind them. This makes them great for chasing down fast models, as does their ability to move through severe terrain without penalty.
  23. Hey Wyrdos! Time for another Monday Preview. This week we continue taking a look at the Undying box, this time we are taking a look at the Grave Golem! The Grave Golem is, essentially, a large chunk of graveyard that has been animated by the Resurrectionists to serve as a heavy enforcer. During battle, a Grave Golem can sink into the earth and reappear a few moments later halfway across the battlefield, provided that there is a corpse for the golem to form around. That something so large could move so quickly often comes as a surprise to the golem's enemies, many of whom end up either battered to death by its massive Tombstone Fists or buried in a landslide of corrupted earth and grasping skeletal arms.
  24. I'm not going to get dragged into the what abilities do my coworkers have discussion. It only ends poorly
  25. Oh Kim is definitely at least an Enforcer if not a Hench. She is just a Ht 1 Enforcer/Hench.
