  4. I play on Hyperion at the moment. I actually jumped back in in preparation for Stormblood.
  5. I always get work out of Ototo. Especially in a shenlong crew.
  6. So I started playing around with proxyIng Sun Qiang. It seems like he is particularly solid in terms of Headhunter. Any other thoughts on this guy? When I've played with him he has done major work.
  7. I play a lot of Mei. And toshiro plus a box each of his summons is definitely helpful. Mei tends to end up leaving her crew behind once you pull the trigger. He helps to add some support to that back line. General advice. Turn one is vent steam. Clump if it's appropriate to get use out of it. Don't feel pigeonholed into constructs. Railwalk is neat but she can do plenty of damage as well. Just learn when to hold her and when to pull the trigger. Also misdirection, vapormancy, and seismic claws is always a good build.
  8. I did take your recommendation and start with wandering river round 2. Helped me to jam my emissary and kang into the ressers face. I took search the ruins and hunting party (my opponent was on Nicodemus with a ton of minions so great chance at it). Search the ruins was nice and easy with a TTBRO and Sensei Yu. Since the emissary and Kang distracted the bulk of his force, my sniper, brother, and yu were free to do search and claim jump. Round 2 was tough. I lost to the guy who got 3rd. Turns out Sandeep is tough to beat in squatters rights. But I should have bit the bullet earlier on cards. And I shouldn't have taken frame and gone for eliminate the leadership.
  9. For whoever cares. Pretty much ended up sticking to the plan. 4-4 round one, 10-1 round 2, 3-8 round 3. I made a pretty big error to get no points in frame round one. But got 4 pts off the strategy. None of schemes :(. Round 2 I managed to follow the plan. Jammed down my opponents throat and then had the rest of my crew do their thing. Round 3 went poorly. Round 3 was vs Sandeep who managed to make interacting hard. My crew ended up being very pillow fisted. FFM target never even got attacked and was largely ignored.
  10. So definitely some great feedback. So the round one the scheme pool definitely is rough! So I kind of felt like going hard on the strategy and one scheme wasn't a terrible idea. I love Mei in head hunter for the ability to freely advance with the crew, and that 3in engagement. Same for ototo. You have a good point about savvy opponents just single targeting stuff making people's challenge questionable for two stones. For round two I actually don't have McCabe or its who I would have brought. Toshiro was there to give out fast to the sniper if possible and then be able to bring models back up. But you have a good point. I also considered dropping him for a dawn serpent. For round 3 I was obviously going for show of force, something I love with Mei especially against shooty crews. I figured I would go hard on the middle 3 markers and try to hold them. The feedback was awesome and I am going to seriously consider a lot of those suggeztions!!

  13. Hey. So I would describe myself as fairly competent. I do, however, have major issues with mech rider. It's definitely powerful (and in my opinion maybe a bit too much). But I want to learn how to better handle it. Any advice or thoughts or discussion is appreciated! Also feel free to tell me I'm wrong if you can explain why.

  17. There is no benefit to not running a second master, I just want to stick with Misaki. I thought of the Viks trick but our henchman declared that my faction would still be ten thunders and as such I would still have to pay upped prices.
  18. First off: Bought Loyalty states he costs less when he is hired by a Misaki crew, since it's technically a two master pool, I just haven't hired a second master, my Henchman ruled it's not at a reduced cost. I think a second Torakage as well. Also no proxies without the card
  19. We are doing a Halloween event, with a 55 Soulstone pool and 35 Soulstone crews. This is my Misaki crew I'm thinking of taking. Thoughts and criticisms are greatly appreciated.   20. I don't know how great this will turn out, but I'm picking up Hans because I like the model and plan on trying him out with Misaki. He definitely gets a lot of beneifts from the crew and I like the idea of him and some archers for a mostly ranged crew with some melee support.
  21. My friend plays Lynch and when I show him these pics he is gonna be soooo jealous.
  22. True, I don't know my friend keeps saying I "over commit" her but he also runs Collodi. So I think Misaki has some trouble against armies where she get's swarmed too easily.
  23. So I have been playing Misaki exclusively since GenCon (proxying her with the book) and I must say so far I'm impressed as a whole. The issue seems to be that she can get bogged down too easily and the only way to save her is to potentially sacrifice a Torakage. I was wondering how you guys would run her? Suggestions I've heard include moving in, attacking, and running out cheating or soulstoning the defense flip as nessecary. Or swapping a torakage in and hoping to survive the attack. Any other ideas?
