  1. Shoot. With a theme like 6, that's a lot of possible stuff to do. Count me in, so I have a deadline to meet. It's why I missed the last couple.
  2. This alone makes me want to get the Boondoggle Seven right here. Amuza-stache Envy.
  3. I want to get it to do demos with. And because Guild McMourning has been pretty lonely.
  4. Molly's upgrades, reference the song, "Small Talks", by Of Monsters and Men.
  5. Oh man, these models look great. Definitely count me in on the eBay auction.
  6. Got one that uses a similar amount of Crooligans to reduce a WP down to 0?
  7. I like the idea of alternate Dual Faction boxsets. Like Lucius with a Mimic crew and an alternate pose, or a Zoraida Gremlin. But yeah, Dead Justice has me wanting other kinds of Nightmare Editions like it.
  8. I'm in the New Nekima camp as well, half because of how much more I like gluing plastic to pinning metal, and also due to the posing being opposite of new 2E Lilith. Really tickles my fluff senses.
  9. I second that motion. I was really skeptical about the feet at first, but I was made a believer after how wonderfully they fit together.
  10. Hecks yeah. When I tried to glue in the tail, it fell out of my hands, and I didn't even look for it. Luckily, I found it on the couch, but man, that is a tiny piece.
  11. Francisco needs to wear the hat though, to establish himself at El Mayor. It's definitely an odd choice, but I think it's one of those choices to make him stand out. Samael Hopkins also got a change from the book, with him firing instead of standing. I would also like to give a shout-out to Santiago. That guy definitely looks intimidating. And wide. All the other Ortegas seems to be all compact.
  12. I just grabbed all of the Effigies. I always liked how they looked, and now with the Beta Rules, I can actually try some games with my friend who plays Hoffman, and Marcus with Slate Ridge. That, and I always liked how exaggerated everything was on them. Arcane being all mystical and floaty, Brutal with the strange horse leg, Hodgepodge's flowers, Mysterious being all crooked, and Carrion's Hamlet bit with his skull holding. I also got an alternate Lady Justice, since that seems to be thing to get before it goes completely sold out, and I really need to practice hair. Which the model seems to have in spades. And finally a translucent Medium Fire Elemental from Reaper for the Kaeris Henchmen, the Firestarter. Reaper has some really good models, and I feel really silly for writing them off during my Games Workshop phase.
  13. I think my favorite part of the new materials is also the best new thing for Arcanist players. Plastic Arachnids. And plastic Mannequins. You ever try pinning a Mannequin arm in place? You'd be better off just piercing your thumb, all the good it does ya.
  14. Don't have the rules in front of me, but I believe you have to select the same bonus each one time you cast Breathe Life. So, in your case, you'd want to cast it two times, one to hit both with Melee Expert, and another in order to get Ranged Expert.
  15. Well, I think Lady J's actually considered a missile. A blind, great-swording-wielding, undead-hating missile.
  16. Is there any way to get a lot more resilience in a Kaeris list? Or is the Large Steampunk Arachnid (Who, holy crap is a bargain at his price. Ain't no Rotten Belle, but man, that's a pretty good piece) the mainstay? It just kind of seems like Kaeris relies a lot on area denial, rather than being able to hold a point based on a solid brick.
  17. Also, how exactly would you like to play? Marcus, with all his options, tend to have quite a few ways of going about things. Also, so far you have quite the interest collection of models. Not too many people like to pair the Lawyer and the beast-master, but maybe there could be something.
  18. Well, that clears up lots of things for me. Shame though, second game I had had a great Hoffman v. Colette battle that used up all our respective soulstones in one final strike. Shame that won't be happening again.
  19. I can vouch for this man right here. Fantastic demo, great store.
  20. I actually do have a question. I just read through the rules posted on the Wyrd homepage. I take it that in order to get the full experience, I'd have to buy the rulebook. Am I far off the mark? And are there any differing versions of rulebooks?
  21. So true! Forgot to mention that in the post. Central Ohioian here.
  22. Stumbled onto this game through someone's Warmachine blog, and boy, am I excited to get a couple of sets together and mess around with some friends! I have previous experience in Warmachine and Warhammer 40k, and already I'm more in love with the much smaller skirmish dynamic. That and the fact the starter sets are much more varied. I'm already in love with all the factions, save those Guilders, and I especially think the Lord Chompy Bits and Dreamer relationship is hilarious. I want to get started with Collodi, then move to Collette, but mainly, I want to try to get two of my close friends into it. One already likes C. Hoffman, and I'm still trying to convince the other, but I'm sure she'll crack without much pressure. It's a pleasure to be here, and this is a fine game you people at Wyrd have set up. Looking forward to being part of the community!
