what to play, what to play??? feels so important now!!

I have to say, after going the last 4 years now, that Wyrd exceeds expectations every time. The booth looked great and having extra space for the line once it got really busy was genius for keeping booth clear for shoppers. I second Adam's basket suggestion as one who's arms are always full and dropping little boxes all the way to the cashier! The other Henchman (Victoria, Nick, George) who always help out are fantastic at being "personal shoppers", even offering to help hold the loot! Seeing all the new toys in the case is great and seeing them painted is even better! Our tables were amazing! So pretty! There were little things that we had to work with to try and keep a level playing field, but we tried to keep it competitive and fair and know what to do better next year. Joe ROCKED the events this year and I hope everyone involved had a great time. I know there was a lot of buzz over the game, demos were busy, TtB was going and sounded great and we had some fun rounds of Hardcore and Enforcers Brawl going down. Having our "Lemonade Stand" showed how professional Wyrd is as a company and also drew attention (Justin, Hall D?). I have lots of pictures of people bent of tables and some of the booth if anyone is interested. I spent most of the weekend in the Event Hall, having a blast

If any of y'all are up to traveling, we have a decent sized group playing in Durham and Cary and run fairly regular events in Durham at Atomic Empire. Our next tournament is August 15th starting at 10:30am. Please join us! We're always "beginner friendly" but have plenty of great players and have really fun games. I started a Facebook group (The Southeastern Malifaux Players Group) to help find players willing to travel to help grow our local tournament scene. I know some of us are willing to travel and are very happy to host. We post events there and discussions and can also post up if anyone is going to be in a certain area looking for a game. We are also organizing events for MACE which will be held in your fair city in November. It's great to see more players out there. A year ago I was convinced my husband and I were the only people still playing in NC, but I'm happy to find that there are more out there! Hope to see you around the area!

In an attempt to grow a stronger Malifaux scene in the Southeastern portion of the US, I have created a Facebook group for players to find each other to organize events, share hobby and hopefully help each other grow local scenes in the Southeastern US. I know a lot of us travel to big Cons and a lot would be willing to travel to tournaments hosted within reasonable distances as well. This is a place to get those events out there and get our numbers up!

I've not had much problem with Vallejo Matte and it's the one I've used for a couple years. Had one mislabeled once (had to be gloss) that well messed me up, but no worries once I've gotten Matte. Satin will do what you've described, however.

Not enough. But I have gotten more done than last year (I believe). Most of Guild & Ressers painted now & a good number of Arcanists & considering I own just about *every* model...that's saying something.

Ah, love Colette....trying very hard to keep to my Guild and no go running back to her! *must play other crews!*

as long as we can get child care sorted, we have no problem traveling for a tourney that's within reasonable distance. and Durham is a nice area with loads of great restraurants if anyone wants to come here and spend a night or two

If you make it out to the Triangle, we have a few players in the Durham area. We have great space at Atomic Empire in Durham or can possibly grab a table or two at Game Theory in Raleigh or Gamer's Armory in Cary (both smaller).
