7 paid up, and 5 more have confirmed they are going to be - high amount of interest too. Expect to hit capacity based on this, will be a great start to next year and for out local newer players to see a bigger tournament/mix of crews

Justplay games will have us back to go again. This will be a 3 round 50ss Gaining Grounds event. It will be held at Just Play games in Liverpool city centre. There will at minimum be a trophy for the winner, and certificates for 1st, 2nd and 3rd as well as something for best loser, and a trophy for the player voted best opponent (tiebreaker will be whoever finishes higher). There will be a raffle on the day of a usual Wyrd prize pack (mystery boxes) based on the number of attendees Painted crews are not required though there is a trophy for best painted crew (50ss from the faction you are playing on the day). Hi all... just a quick announcement re the store/venue. For those who have not been before, justplay is on the 4th floor, and unfortunately the lift is currently out of order. Have been advised the part required is unlikely to arrive before saturday. Lunch isn't provided, so if you arent wanting to go out and come back up, please do bring something with you. The store stocks cold drinks/tea/coffee and other snacks though.

I am available every Tuesday for demos/games with new players. Tuesday 8th is the bigger monthly meet this month. This is the last month before Merseyfaux 1, with a few of the new players over the last few months looking to attend too. There is a carload of local players going cross country to an event in Leicester this month too. Facebook link for the Merseyside group above too still.

A free henchmen hardcore tournament In Liverpool Full details on the facebook group below, or post here if you want to attend. If everyone is there earlier we can start, although anyone much earlier can get a game in beforehand (i will be there at approx 5.05 from work) Rough time schedule 6.30 - 7.10 Round 1 7.15 - 7.55 Round 2 8.00 - 8.40 Round 3 If everyone is there we can start earlier, if all games are finished we will move on to the next round. I extended 'official' round times by ten mins to ensure games are finished. ... Restrictions Henchman Hardcore is different from standard Malifaux in the following ways: • All Crews must be led by a Henchman, not a Master. • The game size is 20 Soulstones. • All Crews must contain exactly 4 models, no more, no less. • Upgrades may be purchased, as allowed by the standard rules of Malifaux. • The size of a Crew’s Soulstone Pool is limited by the Cache of the Henchman leading it; any Soulstones above this amount are discarded. • Any Actions, Abilities, or Triggers which summon models are considered to be “blank” (they may not be used and have no effect on the game, as if they were not printed on the model). • Only one Scheme will be available. • The same Crew must be used in each round of the event. Set Up All rounds use the following set up: • Deployment: Close. • Strategy: Hardcore Turf War. This Strategy uses the Turf War rules (Core Rulebook pg. 66) with the exception that VP may be scored on the first Turn. • Scheme Pool: Assassinate (Core Rulebook pg. 68). This is the only Scheme available and it must always be taken. Tournament Rules Use Gaining Grounds to determine pairings and score the event to determine the winner. Only the round times are different from the Gaining Grounds tournament standard: • All round times are 40 minutes.
