  1. In true Resser fashion I'm bringing this post back from the dead to state that you could, presuming the base size, use one as your Emissary. Would be well themed with certain crews.
  2. I'd recommend looking through the content in the Wyrd Chronicles. There is a good variety and it won't cost you a dime to download and look through them.
  3. I will be available for demos on Fridays starting at 6pm and Saturdays at 5pm during the month of April. I may be able to show up on other nights with enough notice as I live close to the store. If you want to arrange another time either message me here on the forums or hunt me down on a night you already know I'm there and we can arrange something. I have a number of crews that you could try so as to accommodate a play style you would prefer!
  4. Fellow wyrdlings come to Great Escape Games this Friday, April 4th for game demos of not only Malifaux but the Wyrd hobby in general! We will be at the store from 7pm until midnight for any questions you may have, Wyrd games you may wish to try, or hobbie advice you may require. We look forward to seeing you there! Great Escape Games 1250 Howe Ave Sacramento, Ca 95821 916-927-0810 (7pm - 12am)
  5. I will be at Matrix Games in Redding during their Open Minis Gaming this Saturday, March 15th from 1pm to give demos, answer questions, and convert the masses. I will have several other Wyrd products with me as well, so if you are interested please drop in! Matrix Cards & Games Address: 1185 Hilltop Drive, Redding, CA 96003 Phone: 530-222-1436 matrixcardsandgames.com
  6. I've got my work cut out for me! Check out conquestsac.com for full event details but I will be running demos for all currently released Wyrd games except TTB (if it's out by then) on Saturday and Sunday of the convention (the 29th and 30th of March). If you or someone you know has been wanting to try out any of the games and for whatever reason haven't done so yet I highly encourage you to come by!
  7. This is a bump to let people know we still have this going on and look forward to seeing old and new players alike here. If there are any questions please feel free to message me!
  8. 06/01 - 06/03 Sat/Sun - Noon to Close Mon - 6:00pm to 10:00pm (or later) Sacramento, Ca Great Escape Games - 1250 Howe Ave st# 3A 916-927-0180 This Saturday Great Escape Games will be the hosting location for Demos of both the new Malifaux 2.0 if the rules have been released on schedule and if the rumors are to be belived a certain Game Designer of Wyrd will be showing up to discuss the new system of both the miniatures game and the RPG (of which he will also be hosting a session). Sunday will be open as well should anyone want to try out the new 2.0 rules. I will have crews available for demoing as well, so not having minis on any of these days is not an issue. Monday night is our normally scheduled league night, so if you can't make the other days try to show up on this one to meet the regular players and have a good time! Boards are available and there's plenty of terrain to use. If you have trouble finding the entrance it's on the back side of the building just past the gym entrance. I look forward to seeing anyone there that can make it!
  9. 05/31/13 6pm to Midnight Sacramento, Ca Great Escape Games - 1250 Howe Ave st# 3A 916-927-0180 Somewhat last minute, but a few of the local players and myself plan to be at the store this Friday to review the 2.0 rules if they are ready, and at least play some games if they are not. Boards are available and there's plenty of terrain to use. The store is pretty full on Fridays with other events also, so if anyone wants to come down and see what the store will have going on I highly recommend it! If you have trouble finding the entrance it's on the back side of the building just past the gym entrance. I look forward to seeing anyone there that can make it!
  10. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brush4hire/brush-4-hire-barricades-and-bunkers . if you scroll down the page there is some western style buildings that would look great on a Malifaux board!
  11. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1334239018/through-the-breach-a-malifaux-roleplaying-game/posts If you look at the kickstarter update at this link you can see the 3d rendering of the model. Several people have tried to bribe my copy off me and it's not even in the mail yet:o)):o)
  12. Not sure if I can make it over, but if so I could bring some crews too. Do you have a location yet?
  13. Target the squishy stuff first. If you can cause Colette to run low on soulstones she is much easier to handle. Yes she makes more, and yes she can generate them like there's no tomorrow, but they are not unlimited by any means. I'd say try to take out Cassy first, but really it will depend on what your opponent leaves open. Pretty much any target they don't want to lose is a good choice. Whittle them down one model at a time in true Pandora fashion as she and her crew are very good at focusing on single models to bring down. I think the biggest part will just be learning the way your crew synchronizes and how to make them a greater sum than their individual pieces. If you expand beyond the starter box I would recommend some stiched together. They expand on the Willpower aspect of Pandora and also provide excellent cover as direct the flow of battle to where YOU want the enemy to be.
  14. White is a great choice for doing lighter/brighter toned models. Most painters use white, grey, or black and build/shade from there. On my Rasputina crew I based white, built up a few colors, shaded with a heavy sephia into the cracks and undersides, then went back over the areas I wanted brighter with another few layers. They turned out pretty well. Make sure to post pictures once you get them done!
  15. I would focus on the box set for your chosen master and go from there.
