  1. Sorry for taking so long to reply, thank you.
  2. Yes, I know about her - just canvassing all my bets, but she is a very nice choice.
  3. Right. I started on a Lucius crew originally, but the Great God Procrastination (with his fell cohort Scottish AH Prelims and Visits to Universities) intervened, and I have the Lucius box set sitting as assembled, de-flashed white metal on my table, and a collection of a few other things. Now I have a bit more time on my hands, I am getting back to something like work, I am overhauling the entire theme. I need a counts-as Lady Justice and Death Marshals. The theme of the crew, chiefly drawn from Lucius' very 1700s-1800s appearance, is the high officials of the Guild and their troops, who I envisage as something like the General Oblation board in His Dark Materials, aristocratic/bureaucratic, but timed for Malifaux (I think, Malifaux is away from Earth much of the time, things will have crystallised to a degree in the elite, e.g. powdered wigs and frock coats are still worn). Carnevale and things like it provide lots of gentlemen, but I need to expand a bit and want advice. For Lady Justice, I need some sort of aristocratic lady (obviously) but, not being too rude, I hope, it is difficult to find a miniature of one suitably modestly dressed, e.g.: http://www.guildofharmony.com/gallery/automaton/greens/AUSCON_Dorothy.jpg While a very nice miniature, surely a high official of the Guild would be a bit more dignified? I thought perhaps a modified version of this: http://www.arcaneminiatures.co.uk/images/anima-tactics-miniatures/CST2011.jpg But, again, a bit more restraint would be welcomed. Laying Lady J to one side for a minute, I need to differentiate between Guild Guard, the ordinary troops of the Guild, and my Death Marshal proxies, some sort of elite crack troops or more likely personal guards. A more elaborately Victorian Warden is probably called for amongst other things, but that can wait. This is a very long, rather dull post, but in short, does anyone have any tips fitting in a Lucius-styled crew?
  4. Austringer two on the way.... Lots of tips again, even more thanks. Incidentally, I am looking for conversions and variety, as Lucius has the danger of looking a tad monotonous - I might expand to a Lady J crew using Lucius-ified miniatures, for which there is an excellent guide elsewhere on the forums, but just canvassing in addition to my own looking about.
  5. Thanks all for the welcome. I have played a couple of games, then grabbed the Lucius box set, a Sergeant, another set of Guards, one of Hounds and a Warden proxy (Blight Wheel Minis or something like that, all credit goes to the man who pointed them out) and some conversion and proxy stuff [Credit to whoever it was who had that great Elite Division thread]. After this orgy of spending, I think all these are solid but does anyone have any more expansion tips? PS: Tacked on an Austringer.
  6. *Mad capering and dancing in the streets* Splendid! Bought and on the way, thank you very much. PS: Sorry if that denigrated anyone else's suggestions, they were very good (and I have bought a Smog 1888 Ripper for fun, and maybe as a Lucius-ed Peacekeeper) but it is nice to get a model that needs no converting at all and looks perfect. PPS: Prodded around the site. If anyone played Ramos, there is a lovely alternate Brass Arachnid, as well as lots of Guild goodies.
  7. ouch Thanks for directing me towards Smog 1888 and maybe I will take another look at Grimorius [the AT miniature]. I love the wind-up Jack the Ripper, I think I will buy him regardless...
  8. No, no offence taken, I thought I was being a bit offensive.
  9. Inspirational. Sorry if that is trite, but really this is stuff out of the top drawer. Love the Oriental (sorry, not really good on Malifaux factions outwith my own Guild and the few other teams I have played) styled miniatures, the painting almost makes them look like Japanese art - those wonderful, simple, stylised screens.
  10. Oh good. Waiting game (although I will continue to look around) - incidentally, as I just got rid of one, was the second image the winged one or the heavier? PS: If anyone has any ideas, as Warden pops along no sooner than May, do share.
  11. Oh yes - some of these could be very interesting indeed in a Guild army for one.
  12. I am starting a Lucius list, and need a proxy for the Warden, a construct Guild Guard. Sticking within the Malifaux aesthetic, any suggestions whatsoever welcome. PPS: I have kept a suggestion, probably too large, on, For WYSIWYG, the hands could pass as restraining claws.
  13. Thank you very much! I won't steal all of your stuff (I am drafting in Carnevale miniatures as well) but do you mind if I take some ideas from you? PS: By 'Belladonna' do you mean Who is down as 'Bonaccia'?
