Ah, life.... Sometimes it just gets in the way of hobbytime. Just played my first game of Malifaux since GenCon last week and it's time to get back on the horse. That Collodi up there? Still unpainted.. Hope to change that next week by finishing him up as well as Zoraida so I'll have a couple more masters to choose from come Adepticon. In the meantime, baby steps till I pick up speed. Made myself an illusionary forest for Lilith and her worm to throw around. Just finished the full sized one but working on a flat one that's a bit more traversable in case players want to risk doing so! Hopefully more to come..

Gruesome, Really wished i could have made it but the wife was a bit under the weather and a hubbies duties are never done. Sadly, while my Collodi crew was based not a one made it to paint with the hectic week I had. Hopefully by the next tourney I'll be bale to get them table ready. However, I'm planning on bringing my Lilith crew next Thursday to see how she fairs (after a considerable hiatus from the table..). I'm hoping to see some pics pf the carnage. Congrats to Marshal for showing some of the vets how it's done!

Thanks for the compliments! I wanted to do something different for Collodi since everyone in the crew was so small. Most likely his large base will be for show and I'll be making a lower profile one for game play. Again, apologies for the less than stellar pics but those were all from my cell while my camera charger was MIA. Hopefully now that I've found that I can get some better pics of future progress.

Man have I been slacking... But a few updates.. Got to work on some more bases for the rest of the Lilith Brood.. Here they are just prior to hitting the primer.. Which I then used to base my Terror Tots. Finally finished those up about a month ago. Horrible pic as always.. Finally got the Young Nephs done last night so here's a group photo of the Brood as it currently stands.. And back to more custom bases.. Collodi and crew WIP.. And lastly, starting to branch out into a guild crew so more bases! Malifaux painting? Check. Substandard photography? Check.. My work here is done.

Great battle report Tinman! Extremely well done and it was great to see every aspect of the game from start to finish so concisely. I've played quite a few games but still have trouble explaining it so clearly to my wife (who I'm trying to get playing). Think I'll have to show her this video! Looking forward to more!

My best days are Monday, Thursday nights, and most Saturdays. After GenCon I could probably contribute with making some terrain. Ive been working on a game table design to start after GenCon (was really hoping to get it started and ready to bring to Indy bud sadly, was short on funds till now)Looking forward to getting some games in at the new place!

We must have walked right by each other! Asked a few guys if they were Gruesome and got some puzzled looks. Paul and I were just checking the place out. About 2pm. Tons of room, just need to build some 3x3 boards and were ready to go. Owner seems nice, open to any input on games / stock. Looking forward to playing some games there!

I've been in the center of a gaming store void since my move to Bolingbrook and a store 10 mins from my house is a welcome sight. Having a couple bars just across the street don't hurt either!

You really should Dan. I've been needing a new one so I'll just hold off till July 15th and get one that way.

Not sure yet what they have to offer but if they don't carry Malifaux they sure will after we pester them enough. Wasn't sure where to stuff this so figured this was as good a place as any. I'm planning on checking it out Saturday and will have my crew in tow in case anyone else is up for a game. I agree with Lupus' recommendation on the Primordial Magic, Lelu and Lilitu. As a primarily Lilith player I've had very good success with the following for the 25ss games: Lilith with 6 ss pool, 23ss crew Primordial Magic (2ss) (extra card in hand, bonus transposition) (although Arcane Effigy is possible here for the 4ss if you don't mind the SS pool drop) Lelu (7ss) Lilitu (7ss) Tuco (7ss) However, most of my games run 35ss and I find the following works well for most strats and schemes: Lilith with 6 ss pool 33ss crew Primordial Magic (2ss) Lelu (7ss) Lilitu (7ss) Lelu (7ss) Tuco (7ss) Tot (3ss) I use lilitu to lure the targets into a Lelu, Lelu grinder, Tuco to from the shadows, objective grabbing and some sorely needed ranged attacks and the Tot for some quick objective grabs and in a pinch can grow the bugger into an Young for a bit more bite. I've been experimenting here and there recently but always seem to find my way back to that tried and true 35ss list..
