  1. So glad I go into this when there were heaps around but now they are so rare it's not funny! Any help would be great as it's only Super Looking for: - Pokey Victoria Would be nice: - Piglet (s) - Bayou Gremlins - Hog Whisperer - Sorrow - Silurid
  2. Just try dodgy blending. Simply get your base colour and while it is still wet, with a fine brush add more colour. Because it is still liquid you can swirl it anyway you like and get shapes that are finer than you could ever paint freehand.
  3. The mushrooms are just nails that I clipped down. The handy part is that by keeping the bit you clipped off, you can then sculpt new 'shroom head on what you have left =)
  4. Thank you. Here is another attempt where the static grass and tea ground were applied together (grass coming out of the dirt effect) and then flocked. The mushrooms are a little tall and look too straight but having no putty I couldn't adjust any of that just yet. http://www.flickr.com/photos/106345933@N07/10436231635/in/set-72157636858911386
  5. Had I quick go at a Vale of Tear base. Tell me what you think. I have done another with a difference technique and will upload when finished http://www.flickr.com/photos/106345933@N07/sets/72157636858911386/
  6. Hello, I am using Alice Madness Returns as a theme for my Leveticus crew and I am looking for some basing help. I have decided on a 'Vale of Tears' look for the bases and have in mind little mushrooms and autumn leaves but overall I need suggestions on how to make each mini appear as if they are standing on a little curved hill. Any help would be great. P.S. If you don't know the Vale of Tears, here are some links http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4141/4815331277_a68966b85c_z.jpg http://www.electricblueskies.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/American-McGees-Alice-Madness-Returns-1080p-Wallpaper-47-Vale_of_Tears-Royal_Suit-Dress.png http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4142/4815355091_f4d7855b1a_z.jpg
  7. Looks great but don't try to ever get them inside a building or anything =P
  8. Thanks all for the suggestions. I'll keep it all in mind =) Any other suggestions would be great =)
  9. If people haven't seen this. They would make a great Malifaux crew. I saw them and thought of nothing else. http://lotoflaughters.com/if-these-disney-ladies-were-evil/ Really amazing artwork.
  10. Sounds good. I think I might make Killjoy the Walrus now you suggested it. The Hodgepodge might even be a better Carpenter =)
  11. I'm just excited about slotless! Yay! Slotless
  12. I use Dulux Quick Dry White Undercoat for my minis. Its cheap and gives a good base. Also doesn't obscure detail. If you are going to spray grey, just spray that first, don't worry about the black, or don't make the undercoat solid. Just a half arsed effort so the paint has something to stick to.
  13. I am planning to do my new Leveticus crew in the theme of "Rusty Alyce in Wonderland"! Cold I have some suggestions on which characters to make which? Alyce - Alice Liddell (Black hair and I will have to lengthen her skirt) Leve - Mad Hatter (Will need to sculpt hat) Hollow Waifs x 3 - Maybe chess pieces? Maybe the Aces of Diamonds, Spades and Clubs (Since they are low value cards and worthless like the Waifs) or the Doormouse, March Hare and someone else...maybe 3 Tweedle Dum/Dee and Doos =P SPAs - Card guards? Really not sure with these guys Ashes and Dust - Maybe the caterpillar or ...? Desolation Engine - Bigger what ever is decided for SPAs...Jabber Wocky? Killjoy - White rabbit? (Kinda silly ) Humpty? The Stolen - Footmen? Malifaux Rats - Cheshire Rats? =P Jack Daw - ? Hodgepodge Effigy - ? I Still have to include the Red Queen, White Queen, Walrus, Carpenter, Mock Turtle, Bill the Lizard, The Duchess, Executioner, Crow, other Chess pieces. Suggest any others I have missed or that will fit please =) Thanks
  14. Could someone give me a list of the post ranks and at what count they are attained please? Would just be good to know the distances between in the case of higher ranking accounts. Thanks
  15. I agree, use what you like and you are guarenteed to play better anyway. (I really hate SS squeezing) and yeah with Levie you get so much choice, so why limit what you use? There are some cool minions out there that can really individualise your crew so go ahead and (pokemon style) use-em-all! I'm trying to avoid using a Canine remain to kill for 2nd Waif. I think I just disagree with making my souless groupies from dog bits.
  16. For games with objectives and a lot of interacts, I'm really considering Crooligans.
  17. Just out of interest, after an errate is released. Are later versions of the cards re-printed with corrections? And if not, why not?
  18. The Hollow Waifs are just basically girls that have given up their soul to Leveticus (some more willing than others) and when he dies, this anomally in the real world provides him with a tether to crawl his way back into the real world again. Kinda like having spiritual piece of string tied around ones finger, it helps him remember how to get back so he isn't lost to the aether and netherworld, and all those places.
  19. Still, as I said. Would killing off your own Desperate Mercenary with the other Vik's Fury still count as a manifest requirement? Because the wording does not say it has to be an enemy model, but it does for the Whirlwind req.
  20. I have played the Viktoria's for a few months now, and considering trying to Manifest next game I play. Have anyone got any tips for manifesting? I was thining of taking a Desperate Merc. and then have one of the Viks kill it off first turn for one requirement with Fury. Anyother tips?
  21. Can someone explain how the 'Hit and Run' tactic of the SS Miner works please? Can it keep Melee Master if it buries before it runs out of AP, or at the very end of it's activation?
  22. I agree with this. I think Misake has her place as an Outcast as the most recent narrative about her states that she is really trying to break away from the Ten Thunders, so still an Outcast none the less. On a different note, still my favourite faction. I think soulful, and a less-than-perfect game are what we need Malifaux to stay as. That way there are still tricks but then again, isn't the reason we play is to beat those 'combos' and make out own. I like to use a 40K reference, "Why do we play if not to kill Space Marines?"
  23. Just personally, I love the game how it is. I would hate for it to become a mass-scale warfare game. It's not in the nature of the story. I think have 100 SS brawls is enough for people who want to play bigger. It's nice not having to spend all day on one game, and the problem with re-balancing all the time is that the game becomes more and more broken. I think people have to realise that every model is worth its points value, just simply what you use it for and if you know how. If we keep complaining about very aesthetic issues and very minor grumbles, we will ruin Malifaux like they ruined 40K. We should be happy with how well everything is going as it is.
