  1. This year, I've committed myself to playing Parker in at least 90% of my games for the entire year. I've played ten games with him so far, and ermergerd, Bandidos are the incredible business. I've gone from taking one or two in a list, to three or four. Between Run and Gun and Quick Getaway, unless your opponent can one shot them, they're fairly hard to pin down. They, at least for me, hit above their weight class and accomplish so much in a Parker list that he takes a backseat position akin to Hamelin in most of my games. I don't play much against Guild or 10T, and I don't really say this often about models, but these guys are just incredible.
  2. Hello, I've been playing Malifaux for a very long time, have and can play every master comfortably and reliably, except Tara. I can't wrap my mind around her. I don't know if it's because I bring incorrect models with her or I'm just incapable of playing her at all. We tend to play the Gaining Ground scenarios here, does anyone have any suggestions of what's usually recommended with her?
  3. I've been playing in second edition for a bit now, some games we have for fun and a few we try to play with a competitive mindset. I don't know where I'm going wrong but whenever I take Levi and a crew with him, I feel like I spend too many points on the anchors, but I feel like I need them to be sturdy models. I usually include Alyce and AnD as auto includes and it feels like it just severely limits what else I can take. I've read the wiki, but I have to ask, how do you Leveticus and how are the quality of the anchors you bring?
  4. I played them for the first time in 2nd Edition today. They are still so much fun. There's the thrill of knowing there's nothing your opponent can keep safe while understanding the Viks are never truly safe.
  5. His crew was my favorite to play. I had enough Freikorps models to be the equivalent of a warmachine army. You know what? Why not
  6. Many moons ago when I played Malifaux almost every day of the week, I used to ask myself this question. I had the entire Outcast and 10T ranges (Including models from the dual faction allowance), and told myself I'd probably end up playing Arcanists if I were to drop more money. As someone who's stuff was stolen and you get to start fresh, choosing a new faction is way harder than I thought it would, ha ha. Really want to buy a crew but still stuck between everything
  7. I've been out of Malifaux for quite some time, the last release I remember seeing was the Viktoria avatar. There's been a small interest in Malifaux in my LGS, and I've decided what's a better time to start playing again than now? However, after reading the books, I feel like I have no idea what I'm getting myself into again, as it seems a lot of things have changed. I can't really find a definitive answer nor opinion on a couple questions, so I'll ask right meow. As a miniature game player, I prefer quality of the army/faction, as opposed to quantity. I got a couple people saying Guild would be the first place to look. Any guidance for a poor soul?
  8. I don't really like Zoraida's model and would much prefer to use Lilith. What would be an optimal Lilith crew then?
  9. So... starting up Lilith crew... I tried to cram as many big this as I could. Which is only three Here it is Neverborn Crew - 35 - Scrap Lilith, Mother of Monsters -- 8 Pool Malifaux Cherub [2ss] Desperate Mercenary [2ss] Desperate Mercenary [2ss] Nekima, The Dark Sibling [13ss] Young Nephilim [6ss] Young Nephilim [6ss] Young Nephilim eat the Mercs and attempt to Mature by the time Lilith as a decent position to begin transpositioning models. I'm still somewhat new, so any thoughts?
  10. I'll give Lillith a shot then. Yea, I did the whole "pop n drop" with dreamer and I didn't flip lower than a 9 for almost every one of my flips.
  11. I have actually. I won the game and was hated on for a while. It was a little too harsh for even the competitive nature of the community I play in
  12. I've been playing on and off for a while and I've tried a few masters and their crews, Von Schill, Som'er and the Dreamer. I can say that I'm a little disappointed with them and didn't really enjoy any game. I did enjoy Som'er a bit, until all my gremlins just crumpled in one turn. Unlike most other games, I'm not sure what master really fits my play style much. Generally, I just like a few rampaging monsters to run amok and destroy stuff, so it kind has led me to believe Marcus or a pig oriented Som'er might be the way to go. Maybe even Ramos. I'm sort of a competitive player but I like my shenanigans a hell of a lot more
  13. So after a couple games playtesting and failure with the Dreamer, I started looking into crews. The Gremlins have always caught my eye and then I found out about something called a Pigapult. And I was sold Unless basing an entire a crew around the pigapult is a terrible idea. And also a few questions Is the Pigapult a good investment? Is it better to go pigs or gremlins? Are gremlins a good beginner crew?
