  1. I still have my group from testing the core rules. We're chomping at the bit for "Into the Steam" so please put us into the hat.
  2. My group and myself want to be considered for playtesting any TtB materials in the future.
  3. I got mine Saturday. It is such a thing of beauty. Just this book is worth the cost of the kickstarter package. Yes it was a long wait, but definitely worth it. Thank you everyone at Wyrd.
  4. Very nice! Quite comprehensive and definitely usable. I enjoyed the opening fiction, the rules were well organized and the examples were the right flavor. Thank you for sharing this with all of us. Note: On page 6 the Hail of Metal section has reversed damage numbers I believe.

    PDF?

Kickstarter fulfillment is still not complete. *sigh*
  6. I wish i could have mine before Christmas, but confidence is low.
  7. We want to really explore and become part of Malifaux with our characters. So, two things here. 1. Does the campaign have to end when all the destiny steps are completed? I don't think so.... 2. We absolutely do not fulfill a destiny step every session. Some of our sessions end as just part of a big adventure, to be continued next time. I expect our 5 player group to go 35 sessions or so.
  8. I tried this in the new players area with no luck. The Fatemaster's Guide section about using Malifaux skirmish rules for combat is unclear to me. Do the players make ALL their flips from their twist deck? How is that to their advantage? It eliminates 75% of the high cards and both jokers from use.
  9. One thing to consider would be the wide open field for play. The Fatemaster will have plenty of leeway to create creatures and magic to his liking. If you enjoy creating mysterious things for discovery this is the place! Players in our group dive right in with backstory and motivations for their characters, which gives our FM lots to work off of. Our group of 5 had 2 campaigns running nearly all the time since we got the beta files. Now we are 8, looking for more fate decks (LGS's are OUT of them) and playing 2 sessions a week. We have a harlot, a penguin, an Arcanist, a Resurrectionist, 2 Tinkerers, a Chinese acupuncturist and assorted gunslingers and mercenaries as well as construct butler and a flying cat that is a tracker. All of the Fated look forward to what the future brings them with fear and anticipation. We have never had more actual roleplaying in our game than with TTB. Edit: the penguin is actually C L O W N which the forum apparently objects to....
  10. If you use the skirmish rules to run combat for TTB, are all of the players' flips from his 13 card twist deck? The section says it is slanted in favor of the players, but without the full range of cards including jokers how is that in their favor? I must be missing some key idea here. Our FM wants to try it this Saturday so I need some guidance here soon, or bad things could happen.....
  11. I did not get any hits from search about this. The world of Malifaux is very captivating, and I am sure it would be a great RPG. Is there a plan for one?
