  1. Unless you are going for a more combat heavy encounter, you might want to change a piece or two in your listings for something close to the Necropunks of the Crooligans. They both work fairly well for objective grabbers.
  2. That sounds like a fun idea, let us know how it works out if you try it. The only thing you might want to keep in mind is that is you want to run "Sue" with them you would not be able to run the "Avatar of Dread" in the same crew because he has the "Wicked" ability. :aseamus
  3. I would go with the "5 WD" on their stat line since that's what was listed originally in the Twisting Fates book. I expect that the extra wound on their card is a simple printing error.
  4. Unfortunately the ability exchanges the corpse counters. This will mean that Rafkin's "preserve bodies" action will work best with Nicodems "Arise" action, which sacrifices corpse counters. Or you can keep Rafkin near the Zombie Chihuahua and trigger of the "Get the stick!" action that discards a corpse counter within three inches.
  5. One thing you should remember is that corpse counters can be picked up as a free action must it can only occur when a move action you are taking passes over any part of the counter. This is also where McMournings Zombie Chihuahua is great because he can discard a corpse counter within 3" and give it to McMourning. Or he can simply sacrifice himself giving McMourning 2 body parts instantly.
  6. awesome looking Puppet Wars toybox. How difficult was it to construct?
  7. The dead justice box set can really mix with any other the non-spirit based ressurectionists. That set also give a good verity of options with each death martial as a different undead piece. Personally I would work them in with either Nicodem or McMourning as the crew master.
  8. I will still contest that since it occurs during the determining of your starting pool you should be able to exchange the extra. The reduction to the maximum number should be the last thing that happens when determining the total. If it is not interpreted this way then it makes the first part of the "body Parts" ability completely pointless.
  9. I sincerely hope there is a way to get the masters in charge to take another look at this ruling. First of this makes any game I have played since my first invalid, and it ruins almost all of my crew combinations. Also I don't see how it is taken from your final soulstone pool, if it occurs when determining soulstones shouldn't it be (master's caches + remaining soulstones, reduced to eight is greater than). Since it states that it occurs when determining starting soulstone pool it should take into account all left over stones before the reduction to the maximum, otherwise this option shouldn't even be on McMournings card because no one would ever give up soulstones out of the starting pool.
  10. Against the strongest piece, i would through Bete Noire in and work on continually paralyzing it with depraved tactics. As long as you remember to keep the card necessary to burry herself it hit.
  11. Hamelin is pretty tricky, but without Nix on the table my Bete actually killed him twice in one game. :bete
  12. I don't know why so many people look down on the Guild Autopsy. Yeah, they are not a powerhouse in the sense of straight combat, but everything has its tactical uses. i have had more use summoning them in contact with enemy models to occupy them while I finish objectives. Also depending upon strategies / schemes , the ability to add three pieces to the board that are significant can be useful. I have just been trying to work my way away from the head on battle that a lot of my games turn into.
  13. Well each of the Masters can only summon once per activation since their summon spell is a zero action. Rafkin on the other hand summons with an all action but may summon as many pieces as he has the parts for. The 12 body parts would let him summon three Guild Autopsy with his activation.
  14. Thought I might get the opinions of some of the other mad scientists out there. I like toying around with odd crew designees for entertainment and to see if they just might work. :crowsSo here is the list:crows 35ss Dr. Douglas McMourning Zombie Chihuahua (1ss) Molly Squidpiddge (9ss) Rafkin, The Embalmer (7ss) +2ss to Soulstone Pool 4 Body Parts on McMourning 12 Body Parts on Rafkin Any opinion on the list is appreciated, including any ideas to make it more interesting.
  15. My question is, can you channel a (0)spell? If you can not does that mean that the wording on Doxy is a typo?
  16. This question came up when I was running the Dead Doxy yesterday. Flirtatious Wink says, this model receives +2:tomes when casting or channeling Inviting Approach. The problem is the rules manual defines channeling as: This model casts a (1) spell. The casting receives to both it's casting and any damage flips. By the above definition you can not channel Inviting Approach because it's a (0) spell.
  17. You are correct. Manual says that a crew containing a special forces henchmen may ignore that special forces hiring limit.
  18. I think it would also be important to consider the number of each you might want to run at a time. I bring it up because the Crooligans are special forces (horror) pieces, so without Molly as master your limited to two.
  19. I did receive my order, i just received another one as well. I just got back from the post office anyway. His package has a brand new shipping label and will hopefully get to him fairly quickly.
  20. I humbly retraced my complaints earlier. It seams that there was simply a delay in the notification of the orders completion. I just found it sitting on my doorstep a few moments ago. Unfortunately, there seams to have been a mix up, as i have also received another persons order as well. I will be heading out to the post office to get it back in the mail and on its way to them.
  21. I don't think that should be the case. The payment shows up on my credit card statement, so i would hope that they have received it.
  22. Wonders nervously why order #8896 still says processed. :twitch:
