I'm a podcast addict. Aethervox, league of extraordinary geeks, flagons and dragons really what ever catches my attention at the moment. If anyone hasn't given the guys at the Aetherbox a listen please do, it's a great show with tons of great info.

I'm a big King fan. The series I enjoy the most is The Dark Tower Saga. For those who have not read it I advise it, if you have read it you may know where this is going. This series consists of one small book and 6 bricks. Through 7 books you learn to care about these characters and hope for a happy ending for them...but this is King after all. So last book things get bad, which is fine it's a fine ending. The part that kills me is the very end of the last book. Just before the book ends you, the reader, get a message from king telling you that you have done enough, that you don't have to read more that the story is at it's end. As I had read everything else I decided to read the last bit. 5 minutes later I threw the book across my bed room ripping it from the spine. 5 minutes after that I was in my car driving to get a new copy because it really was the perfect ending. So there, somewhere in my ramblings, you have one of my most pissed off/ happy moments of reading.

Great idea to warm up first, some of the Malifaux miniatures are small with lots of detail. The best advice I can give to anyone wanting to get better at painting is practice till you want to throw a paintbrush across the room. Check at your FLGS for cheap minis to work with , if you ask you may get a discount on old models that are taking up shelf space and not selling. Another option is to ask the other gamers there who may let you paint some shoulder pads to help them with their workload. To learn new techniques ask Google. There are a lot of sites out in the interwebs that have tutorials on painting. Painting can be the best and worse part of a miniature hobby, but it can be very rewarding, so good luck and keep up the good work.

Hello, I have been playing around with war gaming for a bit ,but found Malifaux about a month ago and have been hooked. There aren’t a lot of people that I have found around here who play, that I have found, but I hope to change that. I am currently running Lady J, Hoffman and just bought Seamus. I’m hoping to start running games at my friendly local game store and I think these 3 crews would be a good way to get people interested. I’m totally in love with the fact that for the price of 5 super soldiers in large shoulder pads you can get your crew, get your deck and start playing.
