  1. Zipp was the first Gremlin master I played, Wong was the second. Both are fantastically fun. Both times just the main boxes, as I need to add more to them. I'm thinking of running Sparks with them, as it seems like a reasonable choice. Would they work well together in a team environment?
  2. I have the Brewmaster, Zipp, and Wong and their respective crews. I do have a few additional packs, such as Sparks, Bayou Gremlins, and (blanking on the name, but the guy with the pistol with a dozen barrels).... and my personal favorite: The Nightmare Whiskey Golem
  3. So Gremlins are not my main faction, but they look fun.. so I want a crew to run for laughs (also a good crew to play against newer folks as I like bringing people into my hobbies). I bought the Sky Pirates box (it does kind of make me laugh) in part because two other people have brewmaster around here. Plus, I was eyeballing them as I like some of the minis. The free extra figure (Miss Terious) was an added bonus. I also have some bayou Gremlins, and a Whiskey Golem I got for free when I bought some cider at Adepticon. I'm thinking that these are pirates who not entirely after money and gold, so much as going after people's alcohol. Partly inspired by the Alestorm song "drink" Zipp + 5 Pool Earl Burns The First Mate Whiskey Golem Iron Skeeter Iron Skeeter Iron Skeeter Bayou Gremlin Bayou Gremlin Bayou Gremlin I have the golem for beating some face, and it seems like Earl could be fun in support of him and the skeeters. Could this list work, or is it doomed from the start? Would it be hilarious?
  4. So, after having the models since 2011 I finally sat down and started painting them, plus after a couple moves I have a local group now. I won't post ALL my photos in thread (though I'll provide a link to the album) to avoid it getting image heavy, but I will post some highlights. Basing: I'm sculpting my own bases to look like wooden boards. I may add creepy artifacts here and there (IE Children's blocks for Teddy, some 6mm soldiers for Toy Soldiers for Malifaux Child) Color Scheme: Purple and Green, with a bit of blue. I had tried this scheme on another project that got sidelined in another game. Amusingly I realized the humor in this scheme of choice... as there is an in joke where someone says "PURPLE" and the other shouts "GREEN" (or vice versa). So one of my scheme markers will have children's blocks that say "Drazi" as a nod to that in joke. Points if you catch the reference. Each of my Sorrows is a different color, with the body using anywhere from 3-5 shades. Teddy: Other crew: More pictures here: http://imgur.com/a/yW5Zg
  5. Any advice on what I should keep in mind when running Pandora and her crew? Planning on reading up the rules this weekend, and (using some other minis as opponents) taking the rules out for a spin. Which reminds me I need to get a fate deck...
  6. Bought my first boxed set yesterday at it was payday! I ended up getting Pandora, but I will likely get Lillith eventually. I'm giving Pandora red hair, lol. It was the minions that pushed me in favor of Pandora.
  7. Yeah, I'm mostly liking the neverborn. So there's that at least. Though the C. Hoffman box set has some cool minis. Might get that as a secondary so I can do battles between factions.
  8. So far, going by just figures there are several good ones. Lilith has caught my eye certainly. Though I guess I just have a weakness for red heads with a wicked/gothic side... Though those Nephilim look rather cool too, and I have some ideas cooking on how to paint them. Edit: Pandora looks really cool too, I love those Sorrows and other minions of hers.
  9. I'm a historical player who picked up Warhammer fantasy, and much later (to a much lesser degree) 40k. I've seen the minis, and I heard the review of the game on GarageHammer. It sounded very cool. I bought the rule book, the big one as I like background material, yesterday and I am very much looking forward to reading up on the rules and trying the game out! So you might see me here asking question as I learn, or perhaps posting pictures of my work as I paint the figures. Looks like a very fun game though.
